Best review I have seen so far for this machine! Especially the part on pre-heating the portofila. Quality beans and proper grind are a must everyone - don't cheap out and miss a better shot! Starbucks will grind their espresso beans for you no charge if you don't have a grinder.
Sorry to hear that. I get pretty good results, but it did take me some practice getting the right grind size and amount for proper extraction. The automatic machines will help solve some of these issues as they do it for you mostly, but of course they are priceier too.
