Youngstown from this same concert is fantastic, complete with a sizzling guitar solo from Nils. Or if you wanted to slow it down and see another side, equally as brilliant, of Bruce, listen to If I Should Fall Behind or Blood Brothers from the same concert.
I've seen Bruce 26 times, Band Maid once. I'm 73 and I'm not gonna make it 25 more times unless they tour more!! SO many parallels: - best live - fun, emotional, deep song catalog, broad spectrum o f songs - love their fans - now we just need to get the Maids in bigger venues!!!
Oh man, I almost threw a shoe at my tv when you stopped the video in the middle of his ranting/preaching! You do not HAVE to speak your reaction. We can see it in your face, and I would argue you're stunting your own experience by doing so. I have seen Bruce over thirty times, and I'm seeing him two more times in Spain this next June. I also saw him in Barcelona a couple of years ago. His shows leave me wired and utterly spent. He repairs my soul from the damage done to us in our daily lives. I saw him twice on the tour this video is from. It was incredible. You should watch this again on your own without stopping it. I watched you miss a few things. Great job, and keep it up.
I've seen Jagger, Bowie, Petty and Pete Townsend in concert. All awesome but none can match Bruce as the ultimate front man and live performer. He definitely takes his songs to the next level live. Of your reactions so far I'd say Jungleland would be the best to check out the studio version 👍
As far as I know, you've still only seen ONE of his truly great songs (Jungleland). Off the "Live 1975-1985" album, please listen to: Backstreets, Thunder Road, The River (w/intro), Darkness at the Edge of Town, Racing in the Street, Independence Day. For starters! Also, the "official version" of Born To Run (not from the album) and Rosalita Come Out Tonight (Phoenix?). You won't believe eyes and ears.
NYC Serenade LIve in Rome!!!!!
I spend every Bruce concert with an ear to ear grin while simultaneously crying--all from pure joy! BRUUUCE!!!
BRRUUUUUUCE
Me too!

Wow I can only imagine how a BM show would look like in a massive venue
You can't leave the Warning out of this.
Bruce and a few of the band are all from NJ, so rub in it in to the NY crowd
Ooooh
Bruce having fun because he's from New Jersey
Greatest Band leader around

Sorry to upset you. There's a lot to cover in these performances and I'm doing my best to avoid YT's copyright
yeah by the time you leave after a typical Bruce 3-4 hour long concert.. you are SPENT !

Lotta folks lazily slap the Overrated tag that immensely popular artists always get but I'd think none of them saw him live.
