The live version of this is amazing. It's the version live at the Oakland Coliseum. They ramp up the guitar playing, showing their three guitar lineup. It's a must see!

Oakland outdoor concert much better outro than studio version; crowd adds so much energy and interest to the performance! Give it a try!

The 70s were a great time to be a teenager!! Colombian gold, 4way windowpane, Quaaludes, moonshine and Lynyrd Skynyrd.....sign. I've still got bones buried in those days....."a mind once expanded never returns to its original dimensions"

You forgot Peruvian Flake and Afghani Sinsemilla and the “Primo” Afghani Kush. 🙂 You are right though. I have never “listened” to music (Just one example.) the same as I did prior to those days. I was able to hear every tiny detail in songs that I never noticed before, and to this day I still “hear” music like that. New music old music, it doesn’t matter.

And this is why the joke/meme exists that at every concert, regardless of the band or how relevant, there's always at least one hard rocker who shouts out "Free Bird!" for the next number. It truly is epic

Another great Southern Rock song is “Highway Song”, by Blackfoot. Their lead singer/songwriter and lead guitarist is Rickey Medlocke who played the drums and sang some lead vocals with Lynyrd Skynyrd in 1971-1972 before returning to Blackfoot. The tracks recorded during that period would later be released on Skynyrd’s 1978 album “First and... Last.". Rickey rejoined Lynyrd Skynyrd in 1996 on guitar and remains with the band today. I don’t want to spoil anything before you hear it, but let’s just say that Rickey is a multi instrument maestro and he can pick guitar with the best of them, and his vocals aren’t too shabby either. 🙂

Nice reaction. Everyone guitar player will hear Stevie Ray Vaughn at some point and it changes their life. If you have not heard him react to Texas Flood live at El Mocambo. He is the GOAT and not many guitarist disagree.

Let me stop the video and just say that I much prefer the casual, real nature of your reaction channel. No slick graphics, no attempt to look "professional", no constant "Please subscribe" pop ups. You're just a guy hanging out at the house with mom (who obviously knows her some Skynyrd) moving around in the background... It's real life and you're a breath of fresh air. Please continue to keep it simple and just make it about the music, which is what you're doing so well. Don't change what you're doing.
