You think that's funny? Doughnut ships have no cockpits. I hear Sora, Donald, or Goofy comment just before the missions. WHERE ARE THEY SITTING? How is the ship able to fly? It has no engines! How is it able to maneuver so smoothly? It has no aero gummies!
Great video - thanks! Two quick tips to help folks along their journey: 1) Be sure to pay attention to the arrow on the bottom when constructing your gummi ship... don't make a sideways donut! 2) When flying, press the options button, and switch fire to "Full Auto" - just hold down X to fire!

Revisiting this video for a reminder during Proud Mode run on 2.5. I have assembled what I call Ein Berliner early in the game and even with only enough AP for one Cannon Upgrade, it is a bloody wheel of death. Making up for the lack of high-powered cannons with multiple of the smaller cannons is still effective, but you absolutely need Teenies to make up for that until you start getting those better parts. Here's a thank you from four years later because this video is a godsend. Now, if you'll excuse me. I have some walls to tear down.
CielDilandy yea I’m currently going back and platinum (ing) all my kingdom heart games first 2 then 3 next 1 literally almost all of the ones that have been released on ps4 except rechain of memories I have over 50% my closest rn is kh 2 with about 90% something with just gimmicks ship left it’s a drag but fun in a way
Can I just say thank you from the bottom of my heart?!! I watched so many videos to try to understand the donut ship. I even made some myself but EVERY time I would get hit like crazy. Well, from watching your video I realized because it was likely because I was making the ship in the middle of the box instead of the back like your video clearly shows. I just absolutely dominated my first try of Asteroid Sweep by watching your video and managed over 37k in points and hardly ever got hit! Thank you soooo much!!!!
I remember getting 100% on the original KH. The Falcon blueprint was my bestfriend for the longest time. I wasn't smart enough to custom make my own, but Falcon was good enough. That final boss gave me the hardest time ever though
That donut ship really is OP. Managed to kill Hunter X before it got to the "X" and "+" instakill moves, or even its bombs, no joke XD Essentially equipped all three Cannon Upgrade abilities as well as the Formation Change and Active Formation abilities, since I managed to get and hold onto Berserk by the end without help from the other abilities :)
Wow, I just used that gain life after dying ability, survived one instakill move and won. Must try with cannon upgrades and formation abilities thanks.

Nice to know that the Gummi Ship trophies aren't as bad in that you don't have to do every mission as in KH1 when the missions get really stupid towards the end if you wanted Platinum. At least here, the default 3 missions will always be the same and you can just pick the easiest EX missions to fulfill that requirement.
Once I started making the donut ship, the S Ranks started flowing like a fire hydrant. Way too easy. I got an S Rank +1 on Assault of the Dreadnaught Mission 3 with the donut ship setup.

When I was a kid, I made Gundams in the original Kingdom Hearts 2. I even made a Zaku II. I made my own Gundams which had my custom GN Drive based on Exia's. I remembered one of them was able to kill the boss of Mission 3 of the final gummi ship stage near Twilight Town.
I used to mess around in the gummi ship editors so much as a kid back on the original kingdom hearts 1 and 2. Shit was so fun to make wacky ships and take em out flying, it was like a whole different game to kid me.
I think I'm alone in this but, I really like gummi missions in KH2, I'm doing a Kingdom Hearts marathon and I like to 100% before moving to a new title so I'm just doing this for fun since I platinum the game years ago.
If anyone's watching this after buying the PC version, you can also add armor gummis (the red cubes) to your teeny ships to add hp to your main ship with your leftover cost. Like Biz said, they have no hitbox, so just put them in wherever

Great video to show the setup, thanks so much. I had to grind for a bit to get the items and set it up like you did and it was like I was invincible. I "S" Ranked every Missions of 1, 2 & 3 with no problems at all. I just got the Trophy for an "S" Rank for each route for an EX Mission. How I did that with ease was, I used either Missions 1 or 2 and just tweaked the Donut Ship since there's requirements and I "S" Ranked with no problem. Now all I have left on this is to beat it on Critical for the Platinum.

I such at making ships (odd, because I'm an artist and love making/sculpting things) but always thought the routes were great fun. Getting new items nearly every time gives you an addictive sense of being rewarded.
hey i wanted to let you know that using cost converter to get rid of one teeny ship allows you to equip a combination of comet and meteor depending on how many neon bars/balls you have. Also using that ability with 2 auto regens, active formation and change formation, with medal convert, draw and cannon upgrade, lets you have a strong gummi ship that also fills the criteria for many of the ex missions as well. It can also kill those wheels you mentioned in the video
hell, i went for comet/meteor anyway. graviga, possibly two meteors, that's damn near all the offense i need. i really like the teeny ships to have two comet and a fire, you've only got one cost left for teeny ships, but eh. then that ability that lets you spin the teeny ships around the gummi ship really fast, chews through stuff easily, and the fire gummi comes in handy in berserk mode. hell, the only reason i like graviga is cause it's powerful, sure, but its also a large AOE. can take out all the arms on that first boss type in a single shot.
this is a interesting guide ive actuly never knew about these types of ships and on the s ranks my top ship I actually made an f22 from an air show and on one of the maps I forgot what map but I manage to pull an S+2 rank with that ship
i actually did pretty well on gummi ship missions by making my own ships... those neon bars and orbs are needed to DESTROY stuff fast though, and if you place the teeny ships in front of you, they can actually shield you from damage to an extent... granted, the doughnut ship is by far the most overpowered tactic, but playing smart enough can still crush everything....
not that needed, could just give a few cockpits and wing gummies to compensate for your now tortoise speed, as well as comet shooting teeny ships rotating around you. course, tortoise gummi ship as a donut's even better.
AFAIK, it gives you the 'general' blueprints once you've got enough parts to make it, basically. i.e. if you could assemble it yourself, you get the general blurprint. so, just get more items, i guess.

Thank you for creating this video. I found it IMMENSLY helpful! However, you are wrong when you say (regarding Teeny Ships) "no armor is needed on them." As stated in the in-game help, "teeny ship attributes are added to your main ship" (something to that effect, forget the actual wording). I built a main ship with 0 hp. My teeny ships DID have hp blocks. My main ship took a hit, which should have killed me instantly, but instead I simply took damage. Also, my teeny ships have cockpits (which reduce speed). Fly the ship without them, and then with them, and there is a noticeable difference in the ship's speed. Thought you should know in case you wanted to update your video. Thanks again for putting it together!

(the one to destory the wheel enemys in just 1 shot for they're collectable items) how do i edit the version to beat the level 3 versions of the track levels?
stronger weapons. graviga makes things a lot simpler. all donut is is abusing the hit box idea. melee attacks, and giant fuckoff lasers, are about the only thing that can hit you. hell, maybe just make a different ship style. donut's typically got low health. even if you can take it out relatively quickly with graviga, you might take one hit yet, so get more ho with more armor blocks.
hello how to do for the third missions ex ghost storm and highway stars, the game asks me to create with 20 HP with satellites for phantom storm and for highway stars we must create a ship with a speed of 80 with satellites so I have the ship for 2 missions but I can use a satellite on the 2 how to do to use the 2 satellites.
so if soras max effectiveness with strength is 80 what is the max with defense and magic because im pretty sure it is somewhere before 100 i know you can increase them more but when does it stop being effective as it goes higher?
Just curious, why do you use formation change + draw for your abilities? Why not 2 cannon upgrade, 2 medal converter, and 2 cost converter? It's much easier making a ship with 1200 units than 3 ships with 800, 200, and 200 units
its about the same, really. but teeny ships are pretty good, the formation change can make them rotate really quickly, and teeny ships with comet on them tend to be pretty damn great, especially moving at high speed.
lol the gummi mission goals were too convoluted and long for me so I ended up just doing a completely new playthrough on proud which isn't all that much harder tbh.

Do you have a video on the colosseum cups I did all of them but apparently I need a high score on some of them in order to complete Jimniys journal and I have tried many ways to get a score of 5000 but I can't
'farm'. you can only get a part once, from one enemy/reward. you can't really farm stuff, its just do the missions, kill the special enemies get the reward. sure, you can't buy them, that's a bit of a drag, but not that big of one, given you basically get the rewards to make you better from doing the routes. not that big a deal.
In order to get 100% in the Gummi Ship Route section you see after the credits, do you have to get ALL the treasures in the mission? Or just complete the mission?
all the treasures. what do you think 100% is. all the treasures, that means, killing each of the special enemies within each different mission, as well as getting the max rank in that mission, AND doing the EX mission with a restriction to your ship (like 'must have 60 speed', or 'have a max hp of 20' or something.
I think Invincible peak is glitched for me. I've checked over and over that I have all the required parts to have it made and I have 100% of treasures in the dreadnought gummi mission 1 with S rank. I have every other blueprint, this is the last one.

Also you can use cost converters to make a ship with a graviga a blizzaga an ultima and a drain gummi. I beat hunter x in 20 seconds he didnt even use his DM
These are much more manageable. They were idiots for making use do all the mission in the first game. Very few of us actually enjoyed the gummy missions, and even if you did "i enjoyed going through them once or twice" Having to grind them constantly if you failed the harder ones was pain the ass in 1.5
why. it's a fun minigame that's literally only required to do once to unlock a route, unlike in kh1. and you don't even need to kill ANYTHING, iirc. even most bosses bail after a time limit is up, i've got a near postgame save with only like 10% of the treasures gotten for the first mission, so any time i want to go back and just do all the gummi stuff again, i can. adnittedly, its not perfect, given that first treasure is unlocked just for beating the route, and the capacity upgrades are all first treausres, so even starting out fresh as i can, i've got 800 limit/200 teeny limit, like 12 ap, and some advanced stuff.
draw just brings in medals easier. decent speed, if you're not using a cockpit, you should have it, so just move towards the medals. its not even required, its just helpful, and given the donut can stay in berserk almost indefinitely barring melee or big laser attacks, its not that much of an issue.

if you make a zaku with the red blocks, its three times as fast.

Well, in Phantom Storm I used Highwind level 7. It worked best for me and in Sunlight storm (which was easier) I used Falcon Peak.

did you ever try a gummi ship that have no hole in the middle but that if your talking to those hardcore players

But one question though the power version of the donut its too slow and open.
(the one to destory the wheel enemys in just 1 shot for they're collectable items)

stronger weapons. graviga makes things a lot simpler. all donut is is abusing the hit box idea. melee attacks, and giant fuckoff lasers, are about the only thing that can hit you.
hell, maybe just make a different ship style. donut's typically got low health. even if you can take it out relatively quickly with graviga, you might take one hit yet, so get more ho with more armor blocks.
hello how to do for the third missions ex ghost storm and highway stars, the game asks me to create with 20 HP with satellites for phantom storm and for highway stars we must create a ship with a speed of 80 with satellites so I have the ship for 2 missions but I can use a satellite on the 2 how to do to use the 2 satellites.

so if soras max effectiveness with strength is 80 what is the max with defense and magic because im pretty sure it is somewhere before 100 i know you can increase them more but when does it stop being effective as it goes higher?
Just curious, why do you use formation change + draw for your abilities? Why not 2 cannon upgrade, 2 medal converter, and 2 cost converter? It's much easier making a ship with 1200 units than 3 ships with 800, 200, and 200 units
its about the same, really.
but teeny ships are pretty good, the formation change can make them rotate really quickly, and teeny ships with comet on them tend to be pretty damn great, especially moving at high speed.

lol the gummi mission goals were too convoluted and long for me so I ended up just doing a completely new playthrough on proud which isn't all that much harder tbh.

Don't think it would necessarily be a waste, kh2 is a great game nonethless, just think about it as starting fresh

Summon Stitch and use Ukelele and the points will come fast.
Omar Gomez Equipping Jackpot and the Keyblade withh the same ability also raises the general amount of medals you receive from enemies.
Plus, after Stitch disappears, use Peter Pan. His limit ability always helps.

Oh just use what you have. I used about 4 ish and got S ranks. It's the EX missions where you have to use pre made ships which are the kickers.
I'm so upset. I started the game on Standard mode and now if I want to unlock the special ending I have to 100% all routes
Still really annoying that they force you to farm for gummi ship parts, instead of keeping its original formula from kh1.
'farm'. you can only get a part once, from one enemy/reward. you can't really farm stuff, its just do the missions, kill the special enemies get the reward. sure, you can't buy them, that's a bit of a drag, but not that big of one, given you basically get the rewards to make you better from doing the routes. not that big a deal.

In order to get 100% in the Gummi Ship Route section you see after the credits, do you have to get ALL the treasures in the mission? Or just complete the mission?
all the treasures. what do you think 100% is. all the treasures, that means, killing each of the special enemies within each different mission, as well as getting the max rank in that mission, AND doing the EX mission with a restriction to your ship (like 'must have 60 speed', or 'have a max hp of 20' or something.
Where do u get invincible peak? That's the only blueprint I need.

I think Invincible peak is glitched for me. I've checked over and over that I have all the required parts to have it made and I have 100% of treasures in the dreadnought gummi mission 1 with S rank. I have every other blueprint, this is the last one.

Also you can use cost converters to make a ship with a graviga a blizzaga an ultima and a drain gummi. I beat hunter x in 20 seconds he didnt even use his DM

These are much more manageable. They were idiots for making use do all the mission in the first game. Very few of us actually enjoyed the gummy missions, and even if you did "i enjoyed going through them once or twice" Having to grind them constantly if you failed the harder ones was pain the ass in 1.5
why. it's a fun minigame that's literally only required to do once to unlock a route, unlike in kh1. and you don't even need to kill ANYTHING, iirc. even most bosses bail after a time limit is up, i've got a near postgame save with only like 10% of the treasures gotten for the first mission, so any time i want to go back and just do all the gummi stuff again, i can.
adnittedly, its not perfect, given that first treasure is unlocked just for beating the route, and the capacity upgrades are all first treausres, so even starting out fresh as i can, i've got 800 limit/200 teeny limit, like 12 ap, and some advanced stuff.

draw just brings in medals easier. decent speed, if you're not using a cockpit, you should have it, so just move towards the medals. its not even required, its just helpful, and given the donut can stay in berserk almost indefinitely barring melee or big laser attacks, its not that much of an issue.
