@@257sombra - this isn't the 1950s. I actually would have more information and data available in my real life race car than what is available from the game.
"The 1st corner will be taken in 2nd gear, caution on corner exit." I've heard that about 100 times in the last 2 days and in my sleep 😂 last completed lap was a 6:48, getting closer. Appreciate the video, great job. I keep fat fingering the "3:43" hitting thumb down and your name, lots of restarts from that alone
Well, it took 9 days... 🤣🤣 but we got it done, 6:37.267. I did the math from my daily tracker in game, roughly 3,200 miles of lap attempts with some sector refreshing mixed in there, roughly 247 laps. I probably only actually completed 10-15 laps but the last 2 days I've had 5 laps within 1 second. I started playing on GT Sport about a week before GT7. Been a C rated driver, B on my good days. I believe this challenge has made me sooo much better, we'll see how I fare in the next few weeks of daily races. After completing this challenge, "now I can play the game." Thanks again!
I always avoided this track when I could in most games, but I've really fallen in love with it in GT7. It's incredibly fun to drive when you finally get it memorized.
For anyone struggling, absolutely make sure to gold all the sectors before attempting the full lap. Not only does it help to learn and nail each sector, it helps massively to know you've already beaten the full track by a good few seconds (the full lap is a little more forgiving than the sectors in terms of time), now it's just a matter of linking all the sectors together in one go. First attempt I was 10 seconds off gold and felt like I'd never be able to make the time up. Then I got 5 seconds off. Once I got to 2 seconds away I absolutely knew I could do it. Then I got half a second away and then got gold with half a second to spare. Now I feel I could shave at least another second off with a better run. Don't worry about using TC if you need to. I got my gold time with TC set to 3.
Same here once I got 6:47 I got a little discouraged, but I kept going at it shaved my time little by little with the help of my ghost, then finally gold. It’s really just a memory game
When im looking to have fun, zero TC. When im looking to go fast and stay clean, TC 1 or 3, rarely 2. Never 4 or 5. Not as of yet at least. I wish more people understood turning TC off to go fastest is an old concept. Techs too good these days irl, same goes for the programmed cars. Happy racing ✌️
does anyone remember doing this in gt5? first you have to do it a blue car from the 60's, and eventually a merc with other cars on track. that challenge required so much perfection that the nordschleife is imprinted on my memory. i dont think ill ever forget it
Great video. I did the WTC700 Championship race about 50 times. The third track is the Nordschleife. Repetition will turn it into muscle memory. Buy the car, run the track over and over in an event race to grind a bit of cash. Then try it for any of the circuit experience races. Eventually, it will become so automatic, you can focus on shaving tenths.
Yep, this is how I finally memorized it as well. I spent a ton of time doing wtc700 and wtc800 before the update. I need to go try the circuit experience. It's honestly probably my favorite track now lol.
The good thing with te Nordschleife is that you'll end up knowing it by heart as is one of the most common tracks in any racing game. From my own experience this track demands confidence in your car, cazy confidence on abusing the kerbs, and absolute mad balls of steel for braking that fraction of a second later on the end of te straight to gamble a better laptime. Big lap, bigger courage.
when i was a kid i probably put 1000 hours into GT4 and a massive chunk of that was just doing lap after lap around the ring. i used to have this memorized down to a tee. fast forward 15 years later and i can't remember a damn thing lol thanks for the video, helped a lot!
Awesome video, still relevant today 11 months on really helpful. When I was on my lap for gold and hit the last checkpoint as you go on the 2 mile straight I remembered what you said about taking a deep breathe and knowing what to do next..... Master words. Thank you
It's cool to watch someone fast-tracking this circuit. I learned it in 3 sectors back in the Project CARS 2 days, then finally put it together after what felt like a week... or a month.
It’s funny. I had my video scheduled to drop at 5pm local time. 2 hours before that I saw your one launch and our opening 5 seconds were pretty much the same 🤣🤣 Without circuit experience split up so nicely. I’m not sure id ever learn it. Too much to take in!
GT7 is set up really well to teach people. I had the video originally scheduled for mid-week, but decided to do a last minute swap. Turned out for the best, it seems.
Honestly I would suggest going into lobbies and hanging out on the track and just driving it however you want. I've done so much of that, that I now have the track memorized.
Great Video and guide! I did mine before seeing this guide. It was proper Green HELL. Took me about 2 hours to gold all the sectors and then I spent up to 7 hours straight to gold the one lap. Only by 2 tenths of a second, but I did it. It felt amazing.
@@Marius19780 I state that I haven't done the Nurgburgring yet, but Fisherman's ranch was not particularly demanding for me. I was a bit scared of the dirt road but in the end I had more difficulties in other circuits such as Le Mans. Sector 1 and sector 5 (especially sector 5) were really difficult
OMG I've finally just completed after weeks of trying on the pad, busted out my wheel and just scraped through. I'm so happy but I've nobody to tell lol! I didn't use your guide but instead just keep trying and trying, and just learnt the track, where I can improve etc. It's difficult but so much fun, this track is like a rollercoaster! Thx for the inspo
This was brilliant to watch and listen to. The Nord took me sooo many tries in Sport and then GT7 came out a couple months later. I've been putting this one off as a result...but this video will really help. Great commentary dude. Thank you!
Thanks Matt. Really appreciate comments like this. Makes it all worthwhile 👍🏻👍🏻 Let us know how you get on. It’s a real hard challenge but can be very fun.
haven’t began the circuit experience for nordschleife yet, but when that time comes (and it will) i just wanted to let you know that i (we) appreciate you for taking the time to make this! super cool idea and i’m sure it’s helped alot of folks out. cheers!
The pacenote idea is definitely genius! I had the same thought just a few days ago, with another TH-camr who has posted content with commentary. I told him that maybe if I time the audio just ahead a bit, I could use him for Pace notes. I should have known I wasn't the only person that had that idea lol. I never thought about the ghost. I'm going to try that next.. along with praying to Sabine Schmidt for some guidance😂
Not gonna lie, this Circuit Experience was fairly straightforward for me. Got gold on all sectors and lap in around 2 hours, while tracks like Laguna Seca took 10+ to gold just the lap. Cool how every driver is different and has differing strengths. Definitely having the ghost and doing the sectors first helps with this one, while starting with doing the lap attacks first before sectors on others can work really well on other tracks
Lol so true, Laguna sucked arse but I blitzed license s10 by 3 seconds. This circuit experience was tough because you get more nervous as the lap gets closer to the end. Personally I took the m6 to online lobby's and just went hard as it didn't matter if you crash or go off track, I found that learning where to slow down instead of where I could go faster was easier for me, also found that better than time trial for concentrations sake
I went into this circuit experience while in chat with my friends and just sharing jokes and life stories with each other. I was in a great mood and I think it helped with the daunting pressure of the Nordschleife. Normally I would dread this but not thinking about perfecting everything due to being distracted by my friends sorta just got my brain into a 'just cruise the damn track' state. On most sectors and the hot lap my attempts were between 1-5. The gold records are mostly forgiving
I have done probably over 500 laps on the Nordschleife, i know so well i can create a lap in my mind. I am glad i know it that well, because otherwise i would be struggling too
Man thank you so much i managed to do it my 3rd time using your pace notes. What was slowing me down was that I was downshifting a gear more on some tight corners than i needed to. At that last straight starting that last sector I was at 5:50 and then realized I was a second faster than you and instantly knew i was gonna get it xD. The time i was stuck with was 6:39. With the pace notes i dropped it down to 6:35.604. It was an absolute blast thank you dude. You've gotten a new subscriber
Okay! I figured out the sauce for everyone struggling with the BMW. I watched the pace video while doing it and still felt short. Car slides too much but i know i can easily beat it with the 911 RSR so i did the same thing i did to beat the S10 License. 1. Switch the countersteering assistance to Strong. It will instantly stop sliding and start making up time. Might feel stiff on corners so downshift if you must. Typically corners with 4th gear need to be 3 but just go off feel. 2. Switch the brake balance to 3 to the rear. Felt a lot better but hard to say since countersteering was also in the mix. I saw another video where Fraga was running 3 and it worked for me. I had a 6:41 but the moment i did this i got a 6:36.211 within 2 laps. Goodluck!
I actually struggled more getting gold on the individual sections vs the whole track. I think they give you a little more time for the whole track vs the segments. The full track time is like getting all silver in the segments.
I like the sector challenges but I completely agree. My issue has always been I feel like there's no context, if that makes sense. Here's one chunk of the track...do it. I find that getting a good flow over the course of a whole track is easier.
The ai drives even faster on the sectors then on the lap itself i could keep up with the ai to like 75% of the track then i made a small mistake and that MF was gone mate absolutely gone 🤣🤣🤣 i have nothing on a real driver but still got gold
@@jesse4011 I hate the sector parts too but I've found watching the demonstration laps absolutely help finding a better line and shaving off those .5 seconds
This was very cool, i got 1:40 as a previous record, and now i put this commentary on and i actually was in the same place as you through the entirety of the lap. The final corner i always fck up as i go to wide and have to brake hard and lose all momentum so i got 1:37.4 but still gold! Thanks man!
Finally squeaked a Gold on this yesterday (6:37:383) and it was an amazing feeling. I personally rank this as the hardest thing in the game right now, including License S-10. My main area of weakness is the portion of track between the two Karusell corners, which is likely as I tend to always crash and restart somewhere early on the lap!
Thank you very much for making this incredible guide. I have just achieved gold. I replayed your voice at certain sectors and that helped a ton with my success.
Really enjoyed this track walkthrough. As someone trying to learn no assist, manual transmission driving having more of these for other tracks would be super handy! Track experience is great but im not always sure when my shifts could be losing me time.
They should bring back Sierra from gt 6 that was 27 km or something a awesome track in a spanish desert setting many many people forgot about this track but i used to drive just as much as nordschleife
@@danielstokker I can't remember this track. I think I only played it for a few weeks. But I remember that alpine track from gt5, or was it 6? I wanna drive this track again
My favourite track in every game its in! A couple of tips in comparison to this lap that gave me about 1.2 secs off my time was to take the 2 carousel (the one right before the long straight) in 3rd gear, it allowed me to carry a higher apex speed through the corner and still get the same drive off the corner up the hill. also the 2 right handers leading to the long straight, i took both in 4th gear, again you can gain on apex speed without compromising drive off the corner, beware tho a slight lift is required between the 2 corners so you dont run off track on the left, but if timed correctly you should have a slight lift, once the car begins to turn apply half power until you see the apex of the 2nd right then you can floor it, powering though the corner without scrubbing tyres giving you more time gain all the way down the straight. My time was 6.35.637
Also for anyone trying to achieve a gold lap attack on the Nurburgring and are considering using a ghost, please consider Chris's suggestion in this video of using the demonstration ghost set ahead of you so you can follow it. I dont recommend trying to race your personal best lap ghost as the lap is so long it only takes your ghost 1 or 2 times to obscure your braking or turning point and you lap is gone. P.s Excellent recent video on the grip circle of tyre Chris, really informative and easy to understand, i would urge any new racers to check it out, especially those who have recently just started racing using a wheel and pedals.
There is only one way to get to know this track is to sit inside the car as GT7 has nailed it in spades with movement of the car it tells you what’s happening and your reactions are phenominal to the experience having a rush as you do it , in pause menu you can set your cockpit at 120fps in the wobble setting set to 2 . Do that and you’ll get a rush or piss your pants it’s that good . I’ve heard that it’s a disadvantage in cockpit mode and that’s just bollocks in my view , I’ve been at knockhill a few hundred times over the yrs as a Marshall , as a biker hammering round on track days , I’ve been in a touring car driving for fun as John clelland was a friend and I’ve had blast in the old F1 car Toyota or a cosworth my memory’s no so good I’m 65 . But I can hammer a car set up correct round every track sitting inside the car but that M3 is just bollocks to drive . Give it a go for a few laps you’ll get used to it and never change to sitting on the roof . Some ausie boy done 5.18 in a prototype beating the world record by a second he was sitting on the roof the boy that did it for real didn’t he was inside and boy was hamwich pleased with himself I’m 65 n done 5.58 in the super formula , My son posted it on here but the sound was through my phone with AirPods so no sound on it and he got his arse kicked for doin so I have autism and don’t like to brag and I done a 7.32 with a KTM today it was doin 185mph on the straight all in the cockpit .
I drive nordscheleife everyday I play this game, and have done so since Gt sport, I memorized every corner by now, but I still make detrimental mistakes, I consistently have clean, and fast laps in GR. 3, GR. 1. A well upgraded widebody 22b sti is great for practice, as well as a 488/458, or a 911 GT3 RS. The important thing to remember is that, you can't have a perfect lap on the ring, it's just grueling to do that, the key is to leave a margin of safety through the sectors you're bad at, while leaving none on those you're good with, this is where I have seen my best results come from. You can't attack a sector you're troubled with the same as your best, no matter how many times you try, something will drag you down, for me if I leave no margin of safety I end up messing up in mid corner on low speed turns, and corner exits on high speeds, I'm taking the right line, but the corners just don't fit my driving style. Also find the right corners too use low grip, and the right ones to utilize high grip. Btw, if you find yourself seemingly zoned out while driving the ring, don't snap out of it, it is essentially a sim racers flow state, your brain is subconsciously taking over paying attention for you. It's not zoning out like when you're sleep deprived, or have just woken up, it's not even zoning out. It's zoning in. Happy hunting here my comrades, hope I was helpful.
its a hard track to learn ,took a while but i changes tactics and instead of trying to remember all of the track i focused on learning the bad bits not all of it worked a treat for me
I have been racing the ring on games for years now. I know all the breaking zones and what gear to be in on all the turns. It’s when you try to push a little bit more and break a little late is where you can really improve your time or in my case end up under steering into corners and messing up a beautiful lap 🤪
I love Nordeshleif track. I'm very good at this track. I've done endurance races on this track every GT series game that had endurance on this track. Getting gold is easy if you practice, practice, practice. My best time in this GT7 Version is 8:18 for a lap using that same BMW car. You need to know when to break, when to speed up, when to pass (if in a race) the slightest mistake and your of the track, in a wall or something. I've been on the real life track in germany. It's amazing but knowing it's the deadliest track in the world, you gotta give the respect to the track.
Set your ghost to a 0.5 sec offset. That way you are trying to beat your last lap/sector. Every time you beat or even catch your last run you know you just picked up a half-second minimum. I don't bother trying to catch or even keep pace with the demonstrator ghost. I turn it on, also at 0.5 sec offset to use it as a reference to my personal ghost to see how I am closing in on gold as I work on chipping away tenths.
I mastered the track since years and I never stopped playing on it. Now I got rewarded for my efforts 😀😀😀 I made all gold from first try. Don't be scared of tracks. Just have fun and improve
The problem I find with returning to a sector is I then forget the others. I find just the old fashion reputation is best as you start to remember the track or you just mixing up sectors. And with such a long track that’s easy to do. I suggest doing it in order or just keep trying. But that just the way I learn.
Wow!!! Absolutely incredible and what a "brilliant"idea, commentating through the course!!! I cannot wait to sync your commentary up with me trying to get Gold and that fat $5 million payout! U da man!!! 👍😎
i’m pretty sure that’s why they made sector 1 gold so brutal on it’s on. you really have to be smoking through the s curves carrying as much speed as possible. Turning TCS to 2 helped me beat gold on sector 1 by 200ms
This has always been one of my most favorite tracks. I know the track quite well, and enjoy it in online races. These challenges in GT7, however, are just shit. You can't even use our own car. They let you use a car you probably never used before, and then put it on Hard tires. That's why I stopped stressing, and just settled with Bronze medals. :) Some Circuit Experiences are even done on Comfort tires...
can you show us tune job on this gt3? I just bought one today but couldn't find a good tune up. Really would help out, Thank you Mr.@Doughtinator. That was amazing. Cheers & happy racing. Thanks again.
I put post it notes on the side of my screen with pit strategies, (Number of laps on each tyre set / fuel load) first 2 corner notes on the first lap on when to brake (due to cold tyres and brakes, and or slower speed due to the start). So I don’t need to “remember”. I just read the notes and drive on.
Just managed to get gold with a controler, this video helped me a lot, for everyone strugling, just practice practice, my first run i was 8 seconds slower, it also helped to experiment with tc, brake balance to find a setup that suits you most
I am glad to see others think this way about this track. I have always used this track when I am in the mood for some tarmac rally,. Great idea on the pace notes though. Will try this later and see how it goes.
I’ve been trying to get gold on this track and the closes I’ve gotten after 14 hours is 6:40.528. I’ve watched some videos and I just can’t get my car to stick flat out as some other people do. I got all sector in gold with the exception of the first, I’m still one tenth to get gold. I’ll keep trying, it’ll come eventually!
Finally got gold after a long day of trying.. 6:37:514 !! rally notes were a huge help, and the reminder for the deep breath at the bridge was just what I needed! 😅 Cheers! Automatic TC on 0 No change to brake adjustment
Have you got one of these for the Castrol Supra Tokyo Expressway track experience? Ive put legit like 25000 miles on that car iirc and barely scratched Silver. Its just so near impossible getting round that track at a very very high pace without scraping a freakin sticker on a wall or something. cant even touch a single pixel of mirror to wall without failing. Its near impossible on controller but surely its doable
I haven’t covered that one. Nearly all of the Tokyo ones are super hard. As you say. Any all contact is instant fail. Follow the demonstration ghost is my best advise 👍🏻
I have Nordchschliefe pretty much completely memorized from all the years of running it. Plus all the coverage it gets in Motorsport. I just inherently know what section is coming without thinking about it.
I know the Nordschleife very well, drive it in real life and know every corner, but your comments on it are absolutely fantastic! Hats off, that is flawlessly commented and incidentally also flawlessly driven, there is hardly anything to improve. The tip with the audio replay is good, but in my opinion this track only works with practice, practice and more practice. Then it works itself out. The M6 GT3 is not an easy car to drive either.
Thanks man. Yeah. You need to be ‘almost there’ for the pace notes to work. I really struggled to remember the second half of the lap. Countless times I either braked when I shouldn’t or didn’t brake when I should 😳🤣
@@Doughtinator You're welcome :) Yes, I can totally understand that ;) It takes a really long time to get the last bit of speed out of each corner. What's more, every car is different, so adaptation happens there too. The green hell is just intense, there are so many corners that if you mess up, it can just ruin your overall lap time.
@@Doughtinator can also use the F1 car, anything with super high down force and cornering speed..then you switch back to a GT3 car and it feels like a Sunday drive lol.
This track is on my top best and worst tracks. It's a great track, lots of speed, and is a challenge with all the corners. Why it would be my worst, and many probably have to agree is because of all he corners, and the overall length it is a challenge to learn and get really good at. This guide however will help not just this car, but I feel it should be useful for most racing cars. I can now watch this to get a general idea on how to get better at this track.
@@Doughtinator I get afraid to do races on this track. I'm on the final race of the touring 700 championship and its the Le Mans version, and I keep messing up and having to restart. I love the track, but when you have 1 lap and it takes around 7 or 8 mins in a tuned racecar, its super hard to get good at.
A lot of these corners are actually not lower gear corners in this car but higher gear corners like the mini caracel keep it in 3rd and the caracel in 2nd the majority but 3rd on exit. I did a 6:28.5
You think you won 8 seconds on the carousel come on you onow thats not true youve been faster all la0 by that time or your bullshitting us with a 6.28 and nothing of it is true
@@Doughtinator oh I haven’t tried it yet. I just think it will absolutely help when I need it. I’ll reply once I give it a go. Even if it doesn’t help I still think this is a great way to help with this particular style event. Thanks for the video!
Was a fun challenge for sure, even though I have experience on the track I had to get used to the car to get gold, ended up with 6:36,519. Did not yet try to improve my time beyond getting gold. The lap really is about pushing pushing and pushing and taking risks. It takes time to get familiar enough to do that controlled enough to end up at the other end with a good enough time. It is a Ballance between wrestling and ballet. My tip is: Get a slow car and just spend some good time on the track if you can't get gold. Try to remember elevation differences, which curbs are rather rough, which are flatter, experiment with how you enter and exit corners, etc. And most of all, just enjoy driving the track. Online trackday lobbies is how I got to know the lap well initially, after that the Nordschleife became unique bliss.
my tip is this: turn off the ghost, dont push yourself too hard, and practice in a calm state. eventually, this course will become a fun challenge. i think we all have adopted a "hurry up and dominate" mentality. we have missed the point of learning how to get good at challenges. its to have fun. so, in closing, turn off your brain, and just drive. memory will kick in.
Hey I just wanted to comment again, I just got gold! On gamepad no less! I ended up with a 6:36.764. It's all down to the 1.13 patch I think and the physics change. The car felt much better to drive but still, I didn't think I'd get it. And the funny thing is, my first completed lap was a 6:44, my second was a 6:39, and my third completion was a 6:36. Of course I only completed about 3% of the runs lol. Thanks so much again for this video, it was a god send.
Funny thing too, at the part where your checkpoint time is 2:26.167 which is that 3rd gear left hander with the big concrete wall on the right; I was 1.1 seconds behind that time in my gold lap. My time there was a 2:27.222 but by the time we get to the 5:51 mark where if you're under a 5:52 you're on for gold, I was actually ahead of your time by like 3 tenths. I ended up losing those tenths in the last couple corners because I was trying really hard not to bottle it and being safe. But somewhere in there I clawed back over a second which kind of blows my mind.
Great video (and very reassuring commentary for a casual gamer like me - some uploaders said this is an "easy" way to earn credits :|). Finally nabbed gold (6.37.022) today after a minimum of 150 restarts over about a week (of which I probably only completed the circuit about 10 times!). Thank you for the video!
My best tip for memorizing this track quickly is this: Practice with very fast cars in the time trial mode, use super formulas and lmp hypercars, gt500 classes, DTM. run them for fun for a few laps either at the beginning or end of your sessions each day and keep going for clean laps. Fast cars give you much less time to think about the next corner so your brain will be forced to start building muscle memory. In 2 weeks I had this track memorized without even thinking about it. Then when you do the circuit experience you can focus on IMPORVING not memorizing. I didn't touch the circuit experience until yesterday and with my instilled knowledge of the track I completed every section in 1-3 tries and the lap took 2 tries with the first being a crash. I got a 6:27 and it wasn't even clean. You all can do this I went from struggling on international b licenses to this in a few short months just keep grinding and learning!
Unless you're already familiar with the track, it makes no sense to start off in racing cars. You'll be bouncing off walls, not learning about braking points, where sharp turns are, etc. I would start off with a slightly tuned GT-R or something, so you've got speed but also control. You can't gain muscle memory if you haven't remembered the course yet.
@@daveyjones8969 id recommend for absolute beginners but for people trying to get a gold circuit experience on this track you need to get used to high speed cars so the track feels slowed down plus the advantage of quickly learning the turns. The high speed cars run very similar lines and braking zones as gt3 cars on this track.
@@christopherkossman Yeah of course you need to practice with the best, but you need to know both the track and cars pretty well. The way you worded it kind of makes it sound like that's how to start fresh on the course. Even if you know the track though, jumping on with a new Gr.1 and just blasting it won't work either. Usually, the gearing is what takes some time to figure out, at least for me, especially when switching from an older car with a 5 speed and a new one with a 7. Even torque at different RPM can throw things off. Each hybrid system seems to work a bit differently too, with things like the Porche needing constant charging, to the Toyota which will last the whole race.
I've got no chance on the controller, the M6 is tail happy because the controllers rumble isn't giving me any resistance to steer against like you would have with a wheel, you just can't apply the throttle in a way that you want to enable you to get gold. Interestlingly the gold time is 20 seconds quicker than in GT Sport plus unlike GT Sport you get punished for going off track or grazing a barrier thats what makes this tough.
Did it second try. This is my favorite race i probably have over 1k hours if you count gt sports, gt7 and forza motorsports 4 so it’s safe to say that i know it a bit to well i once tried to do it with my eyes closed. Got pretty close took a video clip of my lap and none of my friends believe me that i almost did it with my eyes closed
I'm currently 1 sec from gold and don´t seem to be able to get this one together. Hope your notes playing in the background will shave that 1 sec off my lap. I usually drive with TCS on 0 but have been using it on 3 maybe if I get a hang on the car with TCS on 0 the out of corner speed will go up because that is where the ghost drives away. Awesome video btw!
@@Doughtinator I DID IT!! used your race notes and finished gold with 6:37.779 😅 I was shaking afterwards such a rush getting that gold! Thank you so much for this video.
Thanks man, this helped, finally got it done 😁! For those struggling with power oversteer I found that if I took the brake balance to minus one towards the front this helped with traction control at 1.
That ghost definitely went ghost alright! But your lap is great, too. There's something satisfying about going flat out through the chicanes and curves. That's necessary for gold, I see 😩 FULL SEND
Yeah. I think those bottom two assists actually really help. In GT Sport they were not allowed in multiplayer. But in GT7 they seem allowed in all modes.
Maximum speed through the Caracciola Karussel is only 50mph, regardless of car, because: physics. My advice is at the Caracciola: enter later, at the mini; enter earlier. Bergwerk is a corner most get wrong. It’s a very very late apex which leads to a long uphill section. If you brake in a straight line, stay to the left, then turn right just before you crash, you can throttle on earlier, and save seconds as you power all the way uphill. Try it. The nordschleife will keep schooling you forever. That’s why people keep coming back to it.
When I was young, my grandpa had a racing sim and wheel etc for PC. Idr what the game was what so ever, but, regularly i got hit with the ‘one more race and then we need to leave’ So once i discovered there was a 9 mile racetrack in that game… 😏😉 I hope all those little mini sessions on the ring will help me memorize it again much faster as i go to play these games with friends etc, since i can only really play GT7 and the like at friends houses
I know this track inside out..but I still can't get all gold especially on the full lap..but with watching your video..I'm gonna give it another go..thanks pal!!
Just if it helps people to gauge their progress on whether or not they are on pace for a gold lap, the timing checkpoints on your run were as follows; 41.45 1:12.5 1:39.1 2:26.1 3:01.9 3:26.5 4:12.7 4:44.6 5:12.3 5:51.9 6:14.8 Great video by the way! I got Gold on GT Sport Nurburgring Circuit Experience and this will definitely be do-able, I have all golds on sectors now and feel the car is more driveable after update too. Sector 1 and the succession of bends after the first karousel are definitely the hardest for me to carry speed through consistently especially on controller. I have found that being a gear higher can help sometimes too.
The call outs should help people playing while listening at the same time. Might be a good idea for you to just have the voice playing with no game sound as well. People might start using that as a reference and might boost your channel if successful. I have one question though, did you find it harder to complete the sector's, or the full lap?
Click here 3:43 when you start your lap
TC was off. Only ABS default.
@@loadtoad216 🤣🤣 hope it’s helping man. Keep on it. Get getting a full lap in is a huge step forward 👍🏻👍🏻
After completing this challenge, "now I can play the game."
Thanks again!
I always avoided this track when I could in most games, but I've really fallen in love with it in GT7. It's incredibly fun to drive when you finally get it memorized.
Absolutely. I’ve always avoided it until 5mil was on offer 🤣🤣
That's why Schumacher was the best, he loved the track everyone else hated.
by far the best track in the entire game. I usually tune all my cars on the ring.
Yeah I'm running 7 10s in my 700pp 911. I agree used to hate it. This game for some reason love it
Same here....On my bucket list for sure to get to Germany one day & experience it IRL 👍🍻
Great advice 👍🏻👍🏻
Same here once I got 6:47 I got a little discouraged, but I kept going at it shaved my time little by little with the help of my ghost, then finally gold. It’s really just a memory game
Bro literally my times exactly, and in order
But sectors are short and easy,no prob to start over, circuit one is soo long and if any error happens, you have to start all over.
I wonder if I can convince my wife to sit on the couch next to me and call out the rally notes while I'm driving.... hmmm
Now that would be ideal! 🤣🤣
does anyone remember doing this in gt5? first you have to do it a blue car from the 60's, and eventually a merc with other cars on track. that challenge required so much perfection that the nordschleife is imprinted on my memory. i dont think ill ever forget it
I’ve been there.. gt5 was awesome. The merc challenge was awfully difficault.
Very true!
Absolutely. I’m really happy to be a long way closer to fully knowing it 👍🏻
What helped me learn this track was to jump on with F1 car, learn where is flat etc, and do laps until you remember it
Set a day aside maybe
Very good idea. 👍🏻 no substitute for track time.
when i was a kid i probably put 1000 hours into GT4 and a massive chunk of that was just doing lap after lap around the ring. i used to have this memorized down to a tee. fast forward 15 years later and i can't remember a damn thing lol thanks for the video, helped a lot!
Glad to help. Haha. You’ll pick it back up quickly 👍🏻👍🏻
Awesome video, still relevant today 11 months on really helpful. When I was on my lap for gold and hit the last checkpoint as you go on the 2 mile straight I remembered what you said about taking a deep breathe and knowing what to do next..... Master words. Thank you
Awesome man. Good job. Thanks for the kind words 👍🏻👍🏻
It's cool to watch someone fast-tracking this circuit. I learned it in 3 sectors back in the Project CARS 2 days, then finally put it together after what felt like a week... or a month.
It’s funny. I had my video scheduled to drop at 5pm local time. 2 hours before that I saw your one launch and our opening 5 seconds were pretty much the same 🤣🤣
Without circuit experience split up so nicely. I’m not sure id ever learn it. Too much to take in!
GT7 is set up really well to teach people. I had the video originally scheduled for mid-week, but decided to do a last minute swap. Turned out for the best, it seems.
Awesome. People love the credits! 🤣
Honestly I would suggest going into lobbies and hanging out on the track and just driving it however you want. I've done so much of that, that I now have the track memorized.
That’s a REALLY good idea. I probably only ever finished 3 FULL laps because of errors and didn’t get to drive the end part of the track much 👍🏻
Great Video and guide! I did mine before seeing this guide. It was proper Green HELL. Took me about 2 hours to gold all the sectors and then I spent up to 7 hours straight to gold the one lap. Only by 2 tenths of a second, but I did it. It felt amazing.
Yeah man. Sounds like a similar story to me. Well done on gold. It’s a tough one! 🔥🔥
@@Doughtinator Thank you very much! Apparently the circuit experience for Fisherman's Ranch is even worse. I haven't had the courage to try it..
Awesome stuff. So pumped for you man. It’s a hard one. Really well done 🔥🔥
This was brilliant to watch and listen to. The Nord took me sooo many tries in Sport and then GT7 came out a couple months later. I've been putting this one off as a result...but this video will really help. Great commentary dude. Thank you!
Thanks Matt. Really appreciate comments like this. Makes it all worthwhile 👍🏻👍🏻
Let us know how you get on. It’s a real hard challenge but can be very fun.
haven’t began the circuit experience for nordschleife yet, but when that time comes (and it will) i just wanted to let you know that i (we) appreciate you for taking the time to make this! super cool idea and i’m sure it’s helped alot of folks out. cheers!
Awesome. Thanks man. Really appreciate it 👍🏻👍🏻
The pacenote idea is definitely genius!
It’s worked really well for a few people.
This is a super hard challenge.
Yeah. Everyone has different strengths. 👍🏻
Haha, the same here, laguna seca was way harder than this one.
Nice. That’s a great state of mind to be in 👍🏻
I have done probably over 500 laps on the Nordschleife, i know so well i can create a lap in my mind. I am glad i know it that well, because otherwise i would be struggling too
Yup
Man thank you so much i managed to do it my 3rd time using your pace notes. What was slowing me down was that I was downshifting a gear more on some tight corners than i needed to. At that last straight starting that last sector I was at 5:50 and then realized I was a second faster than you and instantly knew i was gonna get it xD. The time i was stuck with was 6:39. With the pace notes i dropped it down to 6:35.604. It was an absolute blast thank you dude. You've gotten a new subscriber
Awesome stuff. Well done.
Hearing success like this makes it all worth it 👍🏻👍🏻
I've been racing this track in racing games for over a decade, and I'm still learning! Great video Chris!
Thanks man. I think this laptime is a fast one to gold. Keep at it 👍🏻
Really enjoyed this circuit experience. Took me several tries but practice makes perfect!
Yeah. It’s very satisfying to do 👍🏻👍🏻
Goodluck!
This is actually really good advice. The BMW isn’t easy to drive 👍🏻
@@Doughtinator haha thanks! I struggled with it a lot before resulting in assists but it helps so much!
That's an amazing contribution and super helpful! Thanks! The rally car comment was indeed genius.
100%
I actually struggled more getting gold on the individual sections vs the whole track. I think they give you a little more time for the whole track vs the segments. The full track time is like getting all silver in the segments.
Yeah. The sectors are a challenge 👍🏻
I like the sector challenges but I completely agree. My issue has always been I feel like there's no context, if that makes sense. Here's one chunk of the track...do it. I find that getting a good flow over the course of a whole track is easier.
Same lmao
Thanks man!
Congrats on gold 👍🏻👍🏻
Finally squeaked a Gold on this yesterday (6:37:383) and it was an amazing feeling. I personally rank this as the hardest thing in the game right now, including License S-10. My main area of weakness is the portion of track between the two Karusell corners, which is likely as I tend to always crash and restart somewhere early on the lap!
Awesome. Well done!
100% agree with the hard part of the track.
I did this on controller and can confirm that that sector is by far the hardest part.
I got gold on License S-10 already so maybe I can gold the Nordschleife. We’ll see.
Thank you very much for making this incredible guide. I have just achieved gold. I replayed your voice at certain sectors and that helped a ton with my success.
Awesome. Well done man. It’s a hard challenge 👍🏻👍🏻
Really enjoyed this track walkthrough. As someone trying to learn no assist, manual transmission driving having more of these for other tracks would be super handy! Track experience is great but im not always sure when my shifts could be losing me time.
I think I might do a few gold lap guides. 👍🏻
They should bring back Sierra from gt 6 that was 27 km or something a awesome track in a spanish desert setting many many people forgot about this track but i used to drive just as much as nordschleife
Do you guys remember this th-cam.com/video/VxUMQyW5gf4/w-d-xo.html
@@danielstokker I can't remember this track. I think I only played it for a few weeks. But I remember that alpine track from gt5, or was it 6? I wanna drive this track again
Use a ghost
My time was 6.35.637
Nice. Great tips 👍🏻👍🏻
Thanks for the video it gave me an idea where I was making mistakes once the correct gears were used for the last part of the lap Gold!
Awesome. Good stuff man. Gold on this is a real challenge 👍🏻👍🏻
Great video mate. I was at 6’43” but within a few runs of listening to you while doing it I nailed it. Cheers!
Awesome. Good stuff. It’s a hard one 👍🏻👍🏻
Some great advise here. Thanks for sharing 👍🏻👍🏻
its a hard track to learn ,took a while but i changes tactics and instead of trying to remember all of the track i focused on learning the bad bits not all of it worked a treat for me
I have been racing the ring on games for years now. I know all the breaking zones and what gear to be in on all the turns. It’s when you try to push a little bit more and break a little late is where you can really improve your time or in my case end up under steering into corners and messing up a beautiful lap 🤪
I hear you 100% on this. It’s a very punishing track. No forgiveness 😳
Thank you SOO much man I was struggling a lot until I found ur vid and follow ur pacenotes. Great video man.
Awesome. Really glad to help 👍🏻👍🏻
100%
8:18? You a bit off pace bro.. Also what is Nordeshleif?
And If you ment you done a 6:18 you are a pathetic lier cause this is Impossible..
It’s a good tip 👍🏻👍🏻
Thank you for this! I needed to find ~0.3 seconds for gold, and you helped me find over a full second to get into the 6:36 range.
Superb stuff. Glad to help man 👍🏻
I mastered the track since years and I never stopped playing on it. Now I got rewarded for my efforts 😀😀😀 I made all gold from first try. Don't be scared of tracks. Just have fun and improve
Awesome 👍🏻👍🏻
The man 🤙
The problem I find with returning to a sector is I then forget the others. I find just the old fashion reputation is best as you start to remember the track or you just mixing up sectors. And with such a long track that’s easy to do. I suggest doing it in order or just keep trying. But that just the way I learn.
It’s a good point. I needed to revisit S8 to fill in a blank and I went back to full lapping again 👍🏻
This might be my favorite GT7 vid in all of TH-cam so far (incl. my own😜). Thanks for the effort, mate!
Haha. Awesome. Thanks man 👍🏻👍🏻
Wow!!! Absolutely incredible and what a "brilliant"idea, commentating through the course!!! I cannot wait to sync your commentary up with me trying to get Gold and that fat $5 million payout! U da man!!! 👍😎
You got it 👍🏻👍🏻
This audio walkthrough is gold! Thank you!
Happy to help man 👍🏻👍🏻
My first lap completion was a 6:44. Kind of disappointing to be 7 seconds off the gold pace but I figured that was going to happen.
Similar for me man. Getting a lap in the bag is a BIG step on the journey. Keep at it 👍🏻👍🏻
@@Doughtinator thanks man. Of course the only reason I even got silver was this video, without it I probably would never finish a lap lol.
I did it, struggled for a couple of days until i realized how important a fast sector 1 is
Awesome. Well done. Yeah do S1 like your pants are on fire and carry that laptime through the lap 👍🏻
i’m pretty sure that’s why they made sector 1 gold so brutal on it’s on. you really have to be smoking through the s curves carrying as much speed as possible. Turning TCS to 2 helped me beat gold on sector 1 by 200ms
Yeah. Exit of turn 1 is actually really critical 👍🏻
Some Circuit Experiences are even done on Comfort tires...
Yeah. This car isn’t great to drive 😳
The traction was suprisingly okay, I felt more like this car just isn't fast enough to get the medal. Been trying for a few hours now 😂
Those GT Sport Nurburgring Chill lobbies helped with track memory lol
Yeah. No substitute for track time 👍🏻
Bro thank you so much I could not have done this without you
Awesome. Good work man. It’s tough 👍🏻👍🏻
can you show us tune job on this gt3? I just bought one today but couldn't find a good tune up. Really would help out, Thank you Mr.@Doughtinator. That was amazing. Cheers & happy racing. Thanks again.
Sorry for the delay. There is no tune. It’s the default car provided by the circuit experience challenge.
You could also try Ride 3, same track, similar required time, difference is if you can do that track in that time on a bike you can do it anywhere.
Visual memory is a great Thing 👍🏻
After Kallenhard and Miss, that second gear corner, you should stay further left and focus on exit
Thanks for the pace notes. My first lap is a 6:40 so a little to work on.
Getting a lap in is a HUGE step. You’re not far off man. Keep at it and you’ll get it 👍🏻👍🏻
Just managed to get gold with a controler, this video helped me a lot, for everyone strugling, just practice practice, my first run i was 8 seconds slower, it also helped to experiment with tc, brake balance to find a setup that suits you most
Nice! Congrats on gold. Great advise 👍🏻👍🏻
@@Doughtinator thanks mate, but as said, your video helped a lot
Thanks! What a great idea! I'll be using your co driver notes tomorrow
I am glad to see others think this way about this track. I have always used this track when I am in the mood for some tarmac rally,. Great idea on the pace notes though. Will try this later and see how it goes.
Let us know how you get on 👍🏻👍🏻
I’ve been trying to get gold on this track and the closes I’ve gotten after 14 hours is 6:40.528. I’ve watched some videos and I just can’t get my car to stick flat out as some other people do. I got all sector in gold with the exception of the first, I’m still one tenth to get gold. I’ll keep trying, it’ll come eventually!
You can do it man. If you can get the full lap in that time and gold sectors then it’s possible. Just need a solid lap 👍🏻👍🏻
@@Doughtinator sure did today!!! Finally, I got a 6:36.698!!!! I am happy now!
Thank you!!! I tried this for so long and FINALLY got a 6.31.680!!!
Awesome. Well done. That’s a quick lap 👍🏻👍🏻
Finally got gold after a long day of trying.. 6:37:514 !! rally notes were a huge help, and the reminder for the deep breath at the bridge was just what I needed! 😅 Cheers!
Automatic
TC on 0
No change to brake adjustment
Yeh buddy!! Good stuff man 👍🏻👍🏻
Have you got one of these for the Castrol Supra Tokyo Expressway track experience?
I will use this video when the time comes. Thank you and the dude that gave you the idea!
Yeah. That dude. Pure genius!
Run time attack in the redbull x2019, then every other car feels like slow motion. You are right though it's just a memory exercise.
Actually. I might try this! 👍🏻👍🏻
100% agree. I much prefer shorter tracks. But with 5mil on offer. Seemed like a good time to but the bullet.
@@danielstokker I’m giving an example mate chill out
I know Oscar. He’s fast. I get what he’s saying. That BMW pulls the taller gears well.
@@Doughtinator thank you
The commentary while I race is brilliant. Liked and subscribed.
Thanks man. Glad it helped 👍🏻👍🏻
@@Doughtinator oh I haven’t tried it yet. I just think it will absolutely help when I need it. I’ll reply once I give it a go. Even if it doesn’t help I still think this is a great way to help with this particular style event. Thanks for the video!
Thank you for your video! It took me like 4 hours but I finally got it, was listening to your instructions and got the gold today finally 🙌
Awesome. Good work man. Love it 👍🏻👍🏻
The pace notes are great! Would be excellent for many tracks.
I think I’ll make them for other longer tracks too.
Well done! Great ideas! Rally Racing notes is genius!
Yeah. Credit to a viewer really but it is a fantastic idea 👍🏻👍🏻
my tip is this: turn off the ghost, dont push yourself too hard, and practice in a calm state. eventually, this course will become a fun challenge. i think we all have adopted a "hurry up and dominate" mentality. we have missed the point of learning how to get good at challenges. its to have fun. so, in closing, turn off your brain, and just drive. memory will kick in.
Very true. Running some 80% push laps would be useful 👍🏻
@@Doughtinator yup yup.
Awesome. Well done! 1.13 has really helped but it’s still a HUGE achievement to get a full fast lap in. Mega! 👍🏻👍🏻
Well done man. It’s a seriously hard challenge. Anyone who claims it’s easy is just trying to flex 🤣👍🏻👍🏻
My best tip for memorizing this track quickly is this:
Practice with very fast cars in the time trial mode, use super formulas and lmp hypercars, gt500 classes, DTM. run them for fun for a few laps either at the beginning or end of your sessions each day and keep going for clean laps.
Very good tip. Keeps you sharp too 👍🏻👍🏻
@@Doughtinator thanks :)
Duuuuuude, THIS is commitment to your viewers. Bravo.
Thanks man 👍🏻
I've been dying to find time to do this but after seeing how fast you was and only just got gold I don't think I'll have a chance, great watch tho
It’s by far the hardest circuit experience. Satisfying to do though.
@@Doughtinator idk man autopolis is pretty hard
@@Nameis404 I’ll give that a try shortly. LeMans was another hard one. High speed oversteer! 😳
It’s VERY hard. And whoever set that ghost lap. They are really on it!!
@@Doughtinator aren't all the ghost set by a pro gt player(s)? Always what i thought but could be wrong.
@@brettpearce8843 they are set by ai
Its even shit on the wheel dude lol the FFB is more vague than anything in this game.
1 second away. You’ve definitely got it in you. TC1 might be the ticket for your lap. 👍🏻👍🏻
@@Doughtinator I DID IT!! used your race notes and finished gold with 6:37.779 😅 I was shaking afterwards such a rush getting that gold!
Thank you so much for this video.
Awesome. So pumped for you. Well done 🔥🔥
Thanks man, this helped, finally got it done 😁! For those struggling with power oversteer I found that if I took the brake balance to minus one towards the front this helped with traction control at 1.
Awesome. Well done man 👍🏻👍🏻
Using the gear instead of the brake is a very smart strategy
It defo helps 👍🏻
Thx for the help. After like 6 hours I finally did it. With 0.15 seconds left
Phew close! Very well done. It’s a super hard challenge 🔥🔥
Absolute blistering lap! Thank you for sharing.
Thanks man 👍🏻
That ghost definitely went ghost alright! But your lap is great, too. There's something satisfying about going flat out through the chicanes and curves. That's necessary for gold, I see 😩
FULL SEND
Yeah that ghost wasn’t messin about!
Yeah. There are lots of places where you just need to be flat and trust your line and the car.
I know exactly where I am at every point on this track and I still “bin it” as one would say 😂🇨🇦
Haha. Yeah. Mistakes are inevitable 🤣
I think it will become easier if you put asm the stability management on, not necessarily faster but more stabile. I blew it in the final part.
Yeah. I think those bottom two assists actually really help. In GT Sport they were not allowed in multiplayer. But in GT7 they seem allowed in all modes.
@@Doughtinator lol I improved my time still need 0,9 sec, so I’m getting real close.
So close! You got it. Just keep at it. Finding 1 second over the lap will just come with time 👍🏻
Great great video and the rally comment it's brilliant. I've been avoiding it ... I might give it a go now. Keep it up.
Thanks man. Yeah I thought I was being clever with my post-it notes… but this guy. Next level 🤯
I haven’t tried this challenge yet, but with other cars i usually carry considerably more speed through both carousels
Yeah. Those corners scare me. I’ve been over the top of the bank too often so I took it easy on this lap.
Thanks boy. Managed a 6.36.874 on 5th try. So we did match good around the track.
Awesome stuff. Always great to hear success 👍🏻👍🏻
When I was young, my grandpa had a racing sim and wheel etc for PC. Idr what the game was what so ever, but, regularly i got hit with the ‘one more race and then we need to leave’
So once i discovered there was a 9 mile racetrack in that game… 😏😉
I hope all those little mini sessions on the ring will help me memorize it again much faster as i go to play these games with friends etc, since i can only really play GT7 and the like at friends houses
That’s an awesome story. 👍🏻👍🏻
Thank you!!! This helped so much completed it in 6.35.850
Awesome. Glad to help man. Well done. It’s a VERY hard challenge 👍🏻👍🏻
I know this track inside out..but I still can't get all gold especially on the full lap..but with watching your video..I'm gonna give it another go..thanks pal!!
Hope it helps man. It’s a tough one 👍🏻👍🏻
Just if it helps people to gauge their progress on whether or not they are on pace for a gold lap, the timing checkpoints on your run were as follows;
41.45
1:12.5
1:39.1
2:26.1
3:01.9
3:26.5
4:12.7
4:44.6
5:12.3
5:51.9
6:14.8
Great video by the way!
Great Information here
The call outs should help people playing while listening at the same time. Might be a good idea for you to just have the voice playing with no game sound as well. People might start using that as a reference and might boost your channel if successful. I have one question though, did you find it harder to complete the sector's, or the full lap?
I think this might work, good idea
Full lap was hard just Remembering everything 🤣
I did turn the engine down more than normal. I’ll probably mute it next time 👍🏻
A beautiful, clean ride👏. On top of that, you have a very nice, calm voice😊. Thank you for the video🤜🤛👏
Nice. Thanks man 👍🏻👍🏻
Tokyo Speedway with the Tomahawk X is 2.5 million per hour repeatable.
Yeah. A LOT easier too 🤣
@@Doughtinator yup hahahaha
