You can try russ mbts with HE just take like 30min to see where you nead to shut like leo 2a5.... Trust me its bether then apfsds and its,,funny" aka its sad HE is way to broken
That’s a shame that The Snail didn’t foresee players working together to drop nukes together That would be memorable and a sight to see, two nukes going off
Gaijin probably didn't expect the possibility of getting 2 that's why, I mean if one person is spawn camping and getting a nuke why would you keep spawning there so that's on the player and having 2 of the most broken vehicle spawnkilling is obvious of why would you even attempt to spawn again
Odd, you definitely get fog in the desert. I was deployed to Iraq three times, and experienced all kinds of weather.....rain, fog, cold, heat, dust storms and even snow in death valley.
As an American former desert dweller (Arizona), I can say with certainty that they do in fact get fog, although it's always the low cloud type of fog, not the weird kind that just spawns from the ground like it does here in Tennessee. That same level of haze is very common because of the dust blowing around in the summer... or from wildfire smoke in the late summer and fall. I find it funny that the other nuke guy was also in an Object 279.
We do get fog in the deserts, its just almost a once in a life time kinda thing. I know it happens in certain parts of Arizona during the fall and winter months. need trees and grass to achieve it. Once dew point is hit it fogs up almost instantly after the sun comes out, kinda interesting to watch too
not a once in a lifetime, some deserts have it happening every year, what makes a desert a desert is the amount of waterfall a year it has, doesn’t mean that’s not enough to cause a fog
to add to that, fog is not considered precipitation, so there are deserts *Namibia* to name one, where it happens very often... A desert is a place where there is less than 250mm of precipitation a year...@@michel_hawk
You can and often do get fog in deserts, it jsut depends on where the desert is. See the fog doesnt form from the ground, but rather nearby water bodies and then wafts over with the wind. Take someplace like the Atacama desert, its a pretty big place and hard to generalize, but for the parts of the Atacama that "arent" the driest place one Earth, most of the moisture does come from fog that rises in the morning and then wafts on shore in the late morning. A place like Salt Lake City sometimes get small fog banks from water that rises off the Great Salt Lake, though I dont think this is very common anymore. Other places like much of the American SW theres very little water to begin with, and the local geography is unfavourable, so theres no local source of water for fog anyway. In War Thunder, on the American desert town, there is a small lake next to the town, but personally I think its far too small to produce that amount of fog without basically drying up. But, it is a source of water, and for the super simplicity sake that Gaijin loves, its good enough.
Great Match as always Baws ❤ on a related note i have been gaijined my German KV1B vanished so today has been a sad day. Love your work Brother keep it up 😊
Hi OddBawZ it's been over 3 years of asking for just a video I just want to say thanks for the South African TTD centurion MBT video I've been asking for well done mate.
3:04 Actually Odd, most people in deserts die from drowning, not dehyrdation. there is a LOT of moisture in deserts, and fog in deserts IS a thing, in fact that is precisely how fauna and flora survive in desert conditions.
I think a couple of goofy/challenge videos would be a great idea. Suggestion 1: "War Thunder Bingo". Make a Bingo card and then play games, until you clear a line. I had this idea when Spookston made a joke about crossing that spot off the bingo card, when he got bombed. Bingo challenges could be 'get revenge bombed', #destroy a vehicle at least 2 BRs higher than your own', 'drop a nuke', 'shoot down a plane with your main gun' etc. Interestingly, that appears to be a novel idea and no other War Thunder creator appears to have done a video in that direction, at least a search for "War thunder bingo" doesn't yield any results on YT Suggestion 2: Play the A30 Challenger, but unbind your reverse key. It's got one of the worst reverse gears in game and this challenge would show how useless it really is.
Day whatever of asking for a video on the Strv m/42 EH. That thing is amazing! It‘s quick, it has enough armour to bounce most shots it takes frontally, and most of all it has an APHE round with 260g of TNT, which will one-shot anything it can penetrate (or even open-tops that it doesn’t). Please play it, it be so happy to see that!
It's nice to see players like the other nuke guy, who is willing to wait for you and not just run and steal other peoples kills and so.... Great video :)
I live in the American Southwest Desert and while fog is exceedingly rare it happens. What we do have is smoke from forest fires. Two years ago it was just as this game was, Smokey for weeks on end.
as always a fantastic video, keep it up. but god I love that thing, holy smokes, it's been my go to vehicle to just kick back and relax and use that APHE to its fullest
The teaser for Update 2.33 has dropped, and there's things in there that people will be excited/sad about We're getting the F-15 Eagle, SU-27, Super Mirage 4000, JAS 39 Gripen, T-90M, possibly a variant of the Leopard 2A7 and a mystery AA vehicle.
I proposed the idea to Spookston but maybe you can do it together. Show off how good the M24 Chaffee is. Every kill you earn you bump the BR of your lineup by one step. Two kills means you'd go from 3.7 to 4.3 BR. Six more bumps to 6.3 and so on. Go until you run out of BRs to bump to.
It's a real shame they don't both go off. I got one with another brit canberra once, and even dropping as close together as possible still only one went off :(
There is moisture overnight in a lot of deserts. I lived in Woomera, South Australia back in the late '60's, when they still launched rockets. There was enough moisture to collect some in a "rainwater" tank most nights, despite it not actually raining for 2 years. Leave clothes on the line overnight, and despite being thoroughly dried by the 40+ C heat the day before, you'd wake up to find them frozen stiff as a board, even though it hadn't rained to cause the moisture that had frozen. (dry clothes don't stiffen on their own, despite getting around 0 C overnight) Chileans use cloth draped on ropes at higher altitudes in deserts to collect overnight water, as a survival mechanism. Sure it probably won't happen as shown by Gaijin (does Gaijin ever depict reality?) unless the desert is coastal.
It's called radiation fog: "The cooling of land overnight by thermal radiation cools the air close to the surface. This reduces the ability of the air to hold moisture, allowing condensation and fog to occur." On the other hand as soon as there is a sunshine, it will take the fog away, so in this map and time and weather there should really not be a fog..
you actually do get morning mist in midwest desserts at least a little bit more often than once in a blue moon buuuut it lasts for like 5 minutes, 15 if it's pea-soup thick. on a much more plausible note it could be other forms of airborne particulate than water: winds and air pressure zones can do a surprising job of concentrating particulates from the surrounding area into specific small areas. in flatlands like most of the midsection of Canada straight through the US and clear on down into Mexico "the surrounding area" in terms of air movements can be a couple hundred miles wide and a thousand miles long so this concentration effect can get *absurd* to the point of being able to _see_ pollen hanging in the air like something out of a Miyazaki anime in grasslands or getting what looks (and feels) like all the dust that ever was in a dessert...or both, we're talking about fairly massive areas after all and it is where it concentrates that matters more than what is in the area where things happen to be pooling: the deadlands in Texas have a higher pollen count than most areas in the amazon rainforest let alone the grasslands and mild coastal forest areas that the pollen in question is coming from. ps: some particularly unfortunate areas also manage to get stuck with the smog from several cities pooling on them. pps: it is pretty common for there to be at least a town of some sort in these areas if not a full on city because before you had towns and cities these air current concentration areas would have been the spots where plants were doing particularly well due to resource distribution from the particulates, meaning particularly good soil quality, meaning all of these zones were hotspots for farming communities to be started.
If you get the chance… I know the Object is good, try using the IS-6 with HE at 9.0, I don’t know how but it normally does better than the 279 also somehow “I’ve done lots of testing”
