The infamous Object 279 heavy tank is one of the most overpowered tanks in War Thunder. I thought it'd be fun to try and handicap it by only using high explosive shells, though it didn't hamper its performance much.

@@chrisbacon3071 It's not significantly powerful, I think it's like 500kg more? The PE-8 one is 5000kg and the LC one is about 5400 something. I've seen a 279 survive it somehow

There is no propellant in the projectile, therefore it is a mortar not a rocket.

It’s very ironic that the M48, one of the saddest vehicles in the game, happens to be one of the strongest tanks against HE. Also a M36 Jackson video would be very funny. You literally can give people no fun to anyone in a heavy tank
Honestly it's only the later variants. The ones with the moob are still pretty easy.
The M48 is okay, just not great. It makes for a decent main tank for a German 7.7 lineup

Since the previous french tank was terrible, i highly suggest for you to play the AMX M4 since its really fun to play obliterate 6.0 and 6.7 tanks with the PCO-50 with autoloader
French 6.7-7.7 with autoloader are tanks I had most fun with in this game

Try shoot HE under tanks when the tanks is stubborn to kill with HE
This is exactly how I kill t28 / t95 with my stpz II. The bottom isn't that armored
Man a 130mm HE shell hurts. Kinda like every 130mm shell. Thank you talismaned 279 for researching a huge chunk of my Soviet tech tree.

I recommend that you play the Hungarian Turán II. It has excellent mobility, a dual gearbox, goofy HEAT, and is surprisingly survivable with 5 crew and goofy volumetric armour. And only at BR 2.7
It was a BP vehicle so you might not have it…

@@ahhno4662 its the turan 2 an hungarian vehicle from the italian tech tree (hungarian sub tree)... wait wtf turan 2? there is an turan 1 and 3 and zrinyi 2 in the tech tree with the zrinyi 1 being BP
@@ckadefoliat2882 turan 2 is a low tier bp reward back when they still had 4 vehicles for one track. its basically a turan 1 with a 75mm HEAT slinging gun instead. it was introduced way before the hungarian sub tree or the zrinyi.

The class 3 can absolutely cheese this tank once you get DM33.
Plus the class 3 is a scary vehicle in its own right too, so many times I have shot it and done no damage at all.

I remember being a Maus before the BR nerfs and i had to fight a duo with a object 279 and a IS-7, sure was a very scary experience. Also attempt No.3 of recommending spookston to play the T28, the premium tiger/panther bully.

I think your tank started glitching when shooting the coax at the helicopter because when that bomb hit it must have caused your tank to start clipping with either the terrain or some other object.

It looked like the bombs where they landed put the tank standing on the center between the tracks. Which is what was causing the game to lose it.
It’s because he was parked between 2 bomb craters and gaijin makes recoil on HMGs insanely strong for some stupid reason.

i heard you hate british vehicles, vehicles that do no damage and vehicles that are basically CAS magnets, so i think you should play the ratel 90; a gigantic british light tank with no armor, that only gets 90mm HEAT with a 7 second aced reload and that somehow always gets strafed by planes before it's even allowed to leave spawn
