    When we go back to awareness, do we find any limit to it? It is like borderless awareness with no limit of space. We don’t find any beginning or end of it. Past is mental construct in the present moment. We cannot go back to any time where the experience of awareness started. Awareness is infinite in terms of space and time. Can there be two infinites? No. So we can see from our experience that there is only one infinite awareness.

    Oh my God !!! .. Imagine if Abrahamic Religions required themselves to be so precise , logical and rational ..
    We would have had such fewer religious wars!!

    • @E_free90
      @E_free90 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      well, the biblical name of God is "I AM"... its just that the abrahamic religions have codified, occulted (hidden away) vedic knowledge. my guess - because of all the supernatural powers that come with it; its a form of monopoly. and only those who can decipher it, acquire it..
      for example the cross. christ crucified at the age of "33" in "golgotha" is code for the spine, as the human spine has 33 vertebrates and the skull, as thats the meaning of "golgotha" ("place of skull").. Christ is cristos in the original, meaning anointing, oil or seed.
      this refers to sexual essence, which taoists for example call "jing"
      accepting Christ then, on truth (decoded), means to not waste your seed - aka become celibate.
      in vedic language, its called "brahmacharya"
      in taoist lingo, its called closing the leak in the microcosmic orbit.
      once you do that, your meditation will bear fruit because of the conversion of jing into chi. chi can still the mind.
      in yoga, its called prana. prana yama is the control of chi. qi-gong - same deal.
      has nothing to do with breath btw its not it, but can be controlled by the breath.
      cristos is the oil in the lanterns of the 5 wise virgins of the biblical parable of the 10 virgins who try to enter the kingdom of God during night (aka jhana, samadhi)...
      you can infuse words (mantra) with chi and give it to non-celibate people to utilize it to enter the kingdom... thats another way.
      there are many ways, but its by cristos crucified (transformed into chi).. there is no other way under heaven to get enlightened... i would even argue that enLIGHTenment refers to CHI, that light within, that is energy, tangible, can be used and is the fuel of supernatural powers... laying on hands, is done with it. taichi or qigong (with celibacy) directly cultivates it...
      without pranayama, there is no dharana.. no dharana = no dhyana. and no dhyana = no samadhi....

    Thank you for hosting Swami Ji in your Podcast. Many of my questions are answered. How wonderfully said, there is no understanding like Sankhya, and no power like Yoga.

    25:34 You said what i had always wanted to ask... shifting the burden on the opponents to disprove consciousness is one

    • @jamal16493
      @jamal16493 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      No it is not like that! It is about showing that question of "many consciousnesses" has no basis and therefore, should be rejected.
      Vedanta doesn't try to conclude that consciousness is one, because, you cannot disprove it. No! That'd be shifting the burden of proof.
      But here saying "why would you think it as many" is a right answer, because, "question of many" itself arises from not understanding the consciousness as something distinct from the mind and body. If you mean something else by consciousness, e.g. what neurologists usually mean, then Vedanta has no responsibility to explain its multiplicity. If you'd actually understand what Vedanta means by consciousness, question of many won't even arise, as it originates from confusing consciousness as a part of mind.

    *My argument for single consciousness: No one can claim "I have experienced consciousness of other". Everyone only knows their own consciousness and they have no experience of any other consciousness that's why there is only one consciousness.*

    Do this experiment. Close your eyes and in a moment open it again without any thinking. Now I will ask you a question how was your sleep? You will say I was not sleeping I just closed my eyes and opened my eyes. I will ask how do you know? If you do not know sleep then the experience of your sleep should be same as closing the eye and opening it. So the conclusion is that you know sleep and it is not the same as closing an eye and opening it.It is an experience of blankness, there is a definite experience of a gap but the time sense of gap is not there because mind was in potential state and so time and space is not in play. Time and space is a construct of mind.

    In advait consciousness is aatma. As per neuroscience consciousness is state of mind. And if there is no aatma how after deep sleep it reappears

    What mantra we’re you repeating that gave you the peaceful light experience? Where would I find a special mantra for TM?

    • @TalkingBrains
      @TalkingBrains  ปีที่แล้ว

      Dear Terry, in my experience there is nothing special about the mantra itself. It's all about how you use it -- and for that I had a great TM teacher. I have tried many different mantras and the experience of pure awareness remains the same.

    Hello! The bliss, peace, etc... I feel when hearing to Vedanta but also for no reasons. I do not meditation (but will begin). So yes, don't get attached to the bliss, so that you can do the jump. I was almost identifying with this bliss, but this is "just" the bliss body. Maybe you experience it also when awakening. Do you?

    • @NoThing-ec9km

      Do u do meditation now?

    • @nbenda
      @nbenda 5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@NoThing-ec9km Yes! Oh, this was a year ago. Sure, I do meditate now. It felt natural and necessary.
      And I also changed my view: the felt sense of presence is a doorway itself, so I don't neglect reflections anymore. The fact I did before was more of a hindrance, even if it was important for a theoretical understanding and an awakening at mind level...
