  • How to make a standard bead and knot rosary that will fit over the head.
    It is NOT ideal for things like large groups or children. If the knots are too difficult or frustrating for you, please see the Beaded Simple Version. There is a type of rosary for everyone! You can donate them to numerous places. We have donated ours to other ministries in the church, hospitals, rehabilitation centers, City of Hope, situations of national disasters, and missionaries that take them world wide. Ask your local church if they have a ministry that can give you suggestions. I would always include a Divine Mercy card and a book on how to pray the rosary. For free printable booklets, visit a site called "How to Pray the Rosary Everyday". They have both English and Spanish. Enjoy!

    My first rosary came from some spiritual webshop, my second one from Aliexpress and broke. So i bought a new one from Lourdes and this one also broke and it made me sad because the beats are from olive wood from Jerusalem. The only one that is still in one peace is the cheap one i first bought because it is on a strong rope. So i figured to use the olive beads and put them on a rope so i can use my strong hands to pray like a man. Thank you so much for helping me repair what i love. Have a blessed day and life.

      Awwww! This makes me so happy. I've seen so many instances of people broken hearted because the rosary they love best had broken, and they were able to repair it. I repaired a few myself for friends and family. My favorite story was repairing a knotted rosary that my dear friends father used to pray in the battle fields of Vietnam. He was soooo excited to have it back! May God bless you even more through all the prayers you lift up on your special rosary.

    Thank you so much! I was accidentally damaging my rosary and trying to make another one but I don't know how and what video would help me to make it perfectly, especially the knot. I felt amazed at how you taught us to make such a beautiful knot rosary. I appreciate it. May God bless you and your family. ❤️🙌🙏☝️

    Thank you for your video. I watched your video in October 2020 on an impulse and have now made over a hundred from corded to wired loop all from watching your video and which i have been giving away to friends, family and strangers and I can see has started or increased a devotion to the Blessed Mother by those who received one. Thank you for helping me a dad to learn how to start making rosaries and to whom many are surprised. Vincent the Catholic Rosary maker. God bless you and Ave Maria. To all who read this -Pray the Rosary daily for poor sinners. Our Lady of the Rosary pray for us. Amen.

      Thank you soooo much for sharing! What a blessing!! My story is similar. I had heard about rosary making on a catholic radio station and did it just for fun. Believe it or not, I probably made and gave away about 100 rosaries before I ever pray a single rosary! It lead me to a starting a rosary ministry at church that gave away thousands of rosary. I first started this TH-cam site just to train the rosary makers at church, and it turn into something so blessed and unexpected. I could spend hours sharing all the blessing that come to those who have received the rosaries, but also, to my surprise, the numerous blessing to those who MAKE the rosaries. I'm so happy you have tapped in to that font of blessings! You, my friend, with Our Lady's help, are moving and changing hearts. Many blessings!!

    I used this tutorial to make a bead and cord rosary but I used round wood beads. I must say it came out nice. And even though I had to make the knots several times because they come out wrong, once they came out correct with the wraps lined up, I enjoyed making it! Also I appreciate the suggestion for those crucifixes, they're really nice ones. Thanks for this tutorial! We pray the rosary every day.

      So sad that you have a "title" for your priest, who is the anointed son of God. Pray for him instead.

    Hello, can you used a different type of cord? Thank you, blessing!!!!!

    • @knotjustaprayer9875
      @knotjustaprayer9875  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      It would depend on what type of bead you are using and if the hole is large enough to fit a larger cord. The next size up would be the #18 nylon twine probably. It can be found at Hobby Lobby. BUT, you have to make sure you have a bead with a larger hole. If you are using a plastic bead like the one in the video or one with an even smaller hole, you are better off to buy the #7 nylon twine at rosarymakingparts.com. I roll lasts a LONG time. I tried a lot of other strings, twines, and even yarns that are sold at the regular craft stores, and they just didn't work for knotted rosaries. Hope that helps!

    How long of string did you cut for all five decades??

      Yes, 6 feet will work. Honestly, 4 feet might be enough, but go longer in the beginning. You would hate to run out of cord.

    Can you please make a tutorial on how to make a wedding lasso

    • @knotjustaprayer9875
      @knotjustaprayer9875  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The only Wedding Lasso I make is a corded twine one. I'm not sure if that was what you were looking for since the photo here is of the beaded rosary. I do not make beaded lassos. You can see my corded ones at www.knotjustaprayer.etsy.com. If you are interested in making corded lassos, I can probably help you, but you would first need to purchase the cord and master the knots and spacing on the regular rosary. The cord is a #36 twine that can be purchased at twinebydesign.com. You would follow the videos I have on this TH-cam channel on how to make: The Hail Mary Knot, Our Father Knot, Center Piece Knot, and How to Add a Crucifix. Once you have all that down, I could send you a template for spacing. I'll warn you it is a really "rough" copy as we've only used it internally in the ministry, but it will work. You would also need to purchase the crucifix for it as well.
      I do not plan on posting the how to video on this. It is very complex, and only worthwhile for people who have already mastered the knotted rosary making. I'm afraid if I post it, people will waste their time and money and get frustrated with the process. I'm hoping to make rosary making fun and interesting for people.
      So, if you are looking to make a special handmade lasso for someone, this might be worth trying. But, if you are trying to save money, it would cost more do to this than to just purchase one. I'm happy to help. Please let me know if you have any other questions. Many blessings!

    Hi what alternative can I use if bonded nylon twine is not available in my area?

    • @knotjustaprayer9875
      @knotjustaprayer9875  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It would depend on the size of the hold of the beads you are using. It you are working with a larger hole, you could try a #18 nylon twine. I'm not sure if you have a Hobby Lobby near you, but they sell one by a brand called Artiste. If you do have a small hole (like the one on the plastic beads I used in the video), I really do think that the #7 nylon twine is the best one. You can order it online at rosarymakingparts.com. The other small cord/twine they typically sell in craft stores is just not the right texture. I tried many! Hope that helps.

      I cant find any nearby store that sells this kind of nylon twine. I tried amazon but the #7 size is always out of stock. I usually work with beads that have 1mm hole.
