I really like the wood beads used in this video. I use #12 cord and a dowel to poke through the beads that aren't fully open, but that's just me. I love the rosary that was made in this video. Very beautiful!

Soy zurdo y tengo problema para hacer los nudos porque me armo un lío. Admiro a las personas que tienen habilidades manuales. Gracias por enseñarnos. Que Dios te bendiga y a tu familia.

I have a story to tell. Ilove making these rosaries and one year my girl friend was on her way to medjugorje and i offered to make some to take a long with her to give out to the refugees . between my son and myself we made around 40. When she return she told me that no matter how many stopped and ask for 1 there was Always one more in the bag

I am not catholic. But I have made rosaries for my husbands family. I always used wire to use my rosaries. But now I would like to the the knots. I use beads from Michaels and I like to make colorful rosaries. there are so many nice beads to choose from.

How'd the learning process go on moving the barrel knots towards your beads? I'm struggling lol

Thank you so much! I have tried and tried unsuccessfully to make these, and went back to elastic cord with crimp tubes, wires, and other methods. But I really feel confident to try again after watching your video. I ordered the string and tools from Our Lady’s Rosary Makers and am excited to try again. I think I can also use this to make Apple Watch bands and bracelets that match my Rosary I’m carrying for the day .

Thank you for sharing this tutorial. I've never made a rosary using cord. I've made a rosary using a wire wrapping technique, but the cord looks really nice. I will try making one using the barrel knots as you did in this video. I usually use a tube or straw to make the barrel knots but that tool looks a lot easier to use. ♥

Hi Maria you can easily make a rosary making tool out of an umbrella rib. Just cut off several inches and then wrap a bit of tape around one end to make a handle. I have made plenty this way and I actually find them better to use than the plastic tools because whilst the channel is about the same size the tool itself is thinner which makes the knots easier to form when you slide them off. (One umbrella would make dozens lol)

I REALLY REALLY am struggling with these barrel knots. I end up with a good inch of room after my beads. I've taken this knot out so many times my hemp is frayed just after the beads

My guess is that she is using #9 size bonded nylon rosary twine, but I’m only guessing. Someone told me that is what is used for strung missionary rosaries.
