I really like the wood beads used in this video. I use #12 cord and a dowel to poke through the beads that aren't fully open, but that's just me. I love the rosary that was made in this video. Very beautiful!

I have a story to tell. Ilove making these rosaries and one year my girl friend was on her way to medjugorje and i offered to make some to take a long with her to give out to the refugees . between my son and myself we made around 40. When she return she told me that no matter how many stopped and ask for 1 there was Always one more in the bag

That is amazing! I recently went to Medugorje, and purchased more centers and crucifixes to make more. The truth is, I found more rosary making materials there then in Rome.... or any other geographical place I have been!

I am not catholic. But I have made rosaries for my husbands family. I always used wire to use my rosaries. But now I would like to the the knots. I use beads from Michaels and I like to make colorful rosaries. there are so many nice beads to choose from.

Thank you. God is good. I still have many knots I must undo and restart. I always think the recipient of that rosary will also have some knots to redo, with the help of Our Lady Undoer of Knots!

Thank you for this video. Am struggling with the knots but am sure with practise it will get less frustrating. My best friend past with cancer the other week and something told me to make myself a rosary to take with me to the funeral.❤

I am sorry for the passing of your friend. Prayers are timeless, and Our Lord will cover your friend's soul each time you remember them in prayer. I have found a gift to members of a grieving family have been well received. And several of my Rosaries have been buried with people who treasured them, and prayed with them in this life.

Thank you so much! I have tried and tried unsuccessfully to make these, and went back to elastic cord with crimp tubes, wires, and other methods. But I really feel confident to try again after watching your video. I ordered the string and tools from Our Lady’s Rosary Makers and am excited to try again. I think I can also use this to make Apple Watch bands and bracelets that match my Rosary I’m carrying for the day .

Thank you for sharing this tutorial. I've never made a rosary using cord. I've made a rosary using a wire wrapping technique, but the cord looks really nice. I will try making one using the barrel knots as you did in this video. I usually use a tube or straw to make the barrel knots but that tool looks a lot easier to use. ♥

Hi Maria you can easily make a rosary making tool out of an umbrella rib. Just cut off several inches and then wrap a bit of tape around one end to make a handle. I have made plenty this way and I actually find them better to use than the plastic tools because whilst the channel is about the same size the tool itself is thinner which makes the knots easier to form when you slide them off. (One umbrella would make dozens lol)

These cord rosaries also last a long time. I have restrung many for friends... but usually due to a bead, metal loop, or corpus breaking.
