Have 2 Manix 2's. One in S30v(Tacticool version, all blacked out) and one in M390. Changed the ball cage in both to Flytanium versions and put Lynch Northwest clips on both. The Manix 2 is my favorite Spyderco hands down. The Sage 1 in Maxamet is another one I really like.
Love, love, LOVE the Manix 2. I am disappointed in myself that I didn't grab one of these when they came out. I have an S110V LW and it's one of my favorite knives ever.
That's one I'd love to have in my collection. The Manix is probably my favorite knife. If I buy more than one of any knife model you know I like it. I own 4 of them, and I'd buy another one in a heartbeat if it was in the right steel/color. I just got one of mine back from Outpost76 yesterday. He did his skinny mod on it for me, and as much as I liked the Manix before, I like it even better with the skinny mod. I wasn't sure if I wanted to do it since all my Manix's are exclusives or sprints, but now that I have it back, I have no regrets.

Quality action and a clicky feeling “detent”, even though it doesn’t have a detent ball. Smooth washers and mine broke in in like 2-3 weeks and was perfect ever since.
I’m also a Brenchmade fan but started with Spyderco. The Manix is the love child of both companies. 😇 I absolutely will be getting more in different steels. 😁

Manix is great ergo, the LWis even better. To me the issue with the Manix and especially the LW is the cage/button, they need to be bigger with more traction. In the pinned models they really can’t be replaced.
Love the blade shape, the lock up and the overall fit in hand. Only negative for me is that I think they went a little too hard with the jimping. St. Nick’s exclusives are rad across the board.

This is a great knife! It depends on how much you want to keep it in your collection, on how much you carry it. It will hold up to a lot of your daily tasks and will certainly hold a good edge. Sorry to hear you lost your Smock, as that is a great knife too.
Yeah, it sucks that I lost my Smock, I loved it for all the options to open it and the difference in it between most other knives being produced nowadays... D2, G10 flippers. I really don't know if I'll replace it or not... I really, really did love it, but... having owned one, I might get something different like the Gail Bradley or Kapara. But, with my intentions of using my knives, I am seriously considering purchasing a Sebenza with what they call the "BEAK" blade. I'm not super familiar with all the different CRK offerings. But I think they'd take the abuse and not show the wear and tear. This Spyderco Manix 2 XL is the the first one I bought with a blade coating. I'm very suspicious of a lot of them. From having firearms, I'm aware of how easily coatings can be messed up, especially, i feel... Cerakote. And then, even worse, the finish on my Sig Saur M17. But I heard Spyderco had the best finished and yes, the DLC is a good finish as on the Glock. But I digress... I bought it cuz I looked it over A LOT and it looked like it could be a very good work knife. And now since I own it, only enforces that opinion. It's sturdily built and the finish seems to be really good, too. Sebenza might be next!!! Could you imagine loosing that??? I tied a lanyard to my new Spyderco and a Nite Ize locking S biner to my belt loop. I don't care if it takes up pocket room. I usually wear cargo pants anyway, I just don't feel like donating another$200 knife to lost and found!!! Blab...

So many great knives but I’ve always wanted a pM2 and the bench made 940 I finally was able to get the 940 now to get the pM2 one day would be awesome love them both,there great USA 🇺🇸 knives and I can’t wait to get the spyderco pM2 thanks brother 🤟

BTW you can upgrade the spring and ball bearing. I put a lighter tension spring into mine and you can one finger close the lock

My dark earth black blade M390 Manix 2 is one of my favorite Spyderco's.
I love Benchmade knives but also really like my Spydercos. That is a good looking knife. I have the Military and Para 2, awesome knives.

The manix 2 is awesome. Ball bearing lock is much different than the axis. I wonder which lock is stronger?
Both are stronger than anyone will ever need.
