@@years8703 It's not, just worse as ATLA (which was almost impossible to beat...) Some of the storylines aren't that good though. Wan & Raava's connection to the rest of the series for instance. And the love triangle in S1. Overall it's still good though
@@blaster112 ATLA was such a kids show... I tried watching book 1, couldnt stand all the cringe and kids jokes and then tried doing it with 2 and it was the same shit all over again. Korra is much more serious and much better in story telling
@@lamaosama9342 it is aimed at a more mature audience, but ATLA had some amazing characters, far better as Korra did for the most part. The character arc of Zuko, Katara and Sokka were really well written. Iroh is probably one of the best characters to ever appear on TV. Yes it's a kids show, but it it still amazing. The show got really good in book 2 and 3. Book 1 was worldbuilding for the most part. Korra had some really good moments, mostly the villains, they were much better as Ozai was in ATLA. (at least Amon and Zaheer were. Unalok was meh, and kuvira in my opinion wasn't that amazing. The love triangle in S1-2 was pretty bad as well. But Amon felt like a real threat which was good. Over all books ATLA felt more as 1 story, while korra felt a lot more as a season to season kinda show. And while the writing of TLOK was better in some areas, it was worse in others.

Its just impossible for it so be exactly like ATLA and without that it can never be as good, in the eyes of the fans, specially fanboys
