@Harvey Specter I mean did Korra really hit her lowest point? And if she did tell me is being gifted powers actual change that comes from the self or the result of an accomplished person giving you their struggles which you haven't earned nor "changed" to actually obtain? Korra didn't change she remains the same character and has the same issues for the entirety of the series (except for the one moment on the bridge where she was speaking to that one Airbender to convince him to join the air nomads but that was in season 3 which also had plenty of issues in my eyes). I feel this exact same thing! And I thought I was alone in this. I'm glad you could put in words something I could only feel!
Wow that is exactly how I’ve been feeling lately but also wasn’t sure how to put it into words. Like I know it’s a tv show but it really does leave me with this feeling of wanting more out of life...
Avatar is HANDS-DOWN the one universe I would sell my soul to live in. This world is beautiful and I've never been so in love with a series in my entire life. I could watch ATLA and LoK over and over again for the rest of my life
@Brooke Dawson reality shifting. look it up on TikTok if you have it. It sounds insane, and incredibly far fetched, but I promise you it’s real. You can shift anywhere, I shift to avatar as the avatar after korra
I really wish the show had a longer run time. Ive always been obsessed with starwars the last time i was obsessed with a shows ending this much. Was the clone wars s7. But theres sm starwars content that i can just watch more starwars. Avatar has two series buy I cant even watch legend of korra until its on netflix so im like DYINGGGG (im not a book person either)
@@prismanic24 Yup. I feel as if the contrast is so big because the previous avatar just saved the entire world causing Korra to be excited. Aang being unexcited because the previous Avatar (Roku) just died fighting the same evil and if he couldn't succeed, how will he do it in one year?
because, you've watched the show, and you're an empath that even feels for characters from a cartoon serie? ( wich is okay, i dont blame you, this serie is beautifull)
I dont understand all this hate towards Korra. I mean, of course LoK is different to AtlA, but it is nowhere bad. Korra is the very opposite of Aang. Korra is a teen focused on mid-mastery of 3 elements raw power and get in trouble for not thinking enough, while Aang is a well behaved child with a full mastery of one bending (he had his tatooes before being 12, mates) and a great heart. Korra's journey is about finding her role as the avatar and mastering her emotion while getting smashed every two episodes by opponents so powerfull no one can stand against them, leaving her physically and mentally crippled and unstable, while Aang had a journey about friendship, accepting his role as the Avatar and bringing peace by mastering the four elements and taking down the bad fire lord. Korra's ennemies have revendications and motivations, a past, and some even help her, they are humans, while Aang need to take down one person, that is allegedly mad. LoK is about balance, responsibility and shades of grey in humanity, while AtlA is a fight between good and evil. I mean, read the ebooks that continue Aang story, you'll see that even he is in trouble when faced with geopolitical issues. Korra is an overpowered overprotected teenager tasked to content everyone in a giant geopolitical mess while being crushed by nearly every of her ennemies. Like, damn, I'd say Aang has it a little easier.
Dad, I've failed you. I am no spiritual leader, and I've let the world down. I'll never be the man you were." "You are right. You are trying to hold on to a false perception of yourself. You are not me, and you should not be me. You are Tenzin."
Me too. Its so soothing and after a long time without Avatar it makes me want to cry about how good it is and underrated it is. This is a piece of Art. ❤
@Last Earthbender I'm not saying at all the best part of LoK is Aang at all. It's not really fair to compare them as every reincarnation is the literal opposite personality of the next. Change is important. I've introduce a lot of people to Avatar through LoK because the animation style is better, book 1 is near perfect as a contained story, and it's for an older audience. It's nice to talk to my freinds and have avatar discussions (particularly female friends) when their first avatar is Korra and not Aang.
@Last Earthbender Maybe in LOK but Aang was definitely not the best thing about ATLA. He was a good character but by Avatar's insanely good standards for character he was just dwarfed by characters like Iroh, Zuko, Azula, Toph and in my personal opinion Sokka was also up there among the greats.
People seem to have a problem with the Legend of Korra, but if you take it for what it is, it's a beautiful show. It has characters with equally intense struggles and growth, pretty compelling antagonists, incredible animation, and I enjoyed the expansion of the lore. In spite of all of that, it's strongest feature to me was the soundtrack. I'm listening to it time and time again, and it never ceases to move me.
the soundtrack is amazing, cant argue with that. but TLOK has many mistakes, or at least it doesn't fit with ATLA world. For example, in ATLA, people learned how to bend elements from certain animals. fire benders from dragons, earth benders from badgermoles ...etc. in TLOK, the first avatar simply gained these powers from the lion turtles. IT IS GOOD, but if it really wants to be an avatar sequel it must obey the rules f the avatar world.
@@ahmadjaber7546 They were granted the power of the element by the lion turtles, but taught to bend (use the power properly) by the bison/dragons/badger moles/ moon.
@@ahmadjaber7546 it does obey the rules of atla, I think you're forgetting ang also was given powers by the lion turtles. The other animals taught the benders how to use their powers.
Korra is so inspiring. i absolutely loved both shows, there's something about the realness of wisdom and spirituality behind the writing and animation that makes for an emotional ride
I personally like it I just tone down the volume a *LOT* and have a chrome extension that lets me adjust the bass and the volume even further to my own personal liking.
exactly. the music and the show wasn't just made for the sake of it. it has inner meaning, something we will understand and go with over time. currently, im sobbing my eyes out to this.
Jinora's Light brings the feeeeeeels man. Korra had lost her connection to the other avatars and to Ravaa and she faced an enemy composed of pure evil itself and a member of her own family. She pulls together the pieces of herself and her power and her own energy and light and fights these two things - to fight family in this way is absolutely gut-shattering. Then Jinora comes in like an angel of light and brings Ravaa back, showing that while dark and light can take different forms and must renew and change just as the world does, they are never fully destroyed. In that regard, the cycle of the Avatar will never be fully broken, only changed in form. (I have a theory that even if killed in the Avatar state, the Avatar can still exist in some form because Ravaa and Vatuu cannot be fully destroyed.) I cry every single time.
I just finished watching LOK after not seeing it for 4-5 years, it is still the best. So complex and beautiful. Helped me realign with my spiritual side again. I love this series.
Are you drunk or high af on drugs? Lok , except jinora and tenzin, didn't have any other spiritual characters. In fact...lok teaches you that you become spiritual instantly through bad writing and no practice.
@@Goliath1337 you fools have no basis for any of your points of beliefs , and the only argument your 3 year old brain can co.s up with is " you didn't watch the sh ow" Season one: korra blatantly ignores all of tenzin's attempts to try and teach her the path to spirituality, all of korra's improvements to air bending is in the physical sense, not the spiritual. She meditated once in this season, and that's even just to learn what aang was so desperately trying to tell her. That ain't gonna make you spiritual if you use meditation like that. Korra then magically learns airbending through the power of plot , with no fcks for spirituality at all. She then masters the avatar state , gets her bending back for free. She is so spirituality retarded that she can never consciously and intentionally communicate with her past lives. Season two made it clear that in lok, that the spirit world is fairyland, and spirits are pokemon. Rip good old spirit world. Korra looses her last lives because she lazied out on training in spirituality. She then forms a giant kaiju with dbz lasers only because of harmonic convergence and the tree of time. Want could have done the same without the tree , as he is highly spiritual, and has unblocked his chackras. Season 3- korra is now magically able to enter the spirit world without the portlas, even though she is still as spiritual as in season one, with no effort visible to change it. Oh..I forgot..it's no longer special to enter the spirit world cause it's pokemon fairyland, not the spirit world. Season four no change. So if you "'re aligned with your spiritual side" because of lok, you are either mentally goes or another idiot who thinks meditating once makes you spiritual. Lok is "complex and beautiful" 😪 the characters are as complex as a piece of wood. First two seasons do not add to Korea's character growth at all.

Peace, Avatars Love, and The Legend Of Korra End Credits really says the most to me in just a few short minutes each. I tear up every time I hear Peace and Avatars Love because they both happen at the end of atla, which makes them 10x more sad than most and every time I watch the ending I cannot help but fee depressed and heartbroken, but then End Credits of Korra really almost puts me at somewhat of a peace of mind state. Something in that song just makes me feel sad and happy at the same it's over. Sad that I might never see anything like it again, and happy that it ended off on the best possible note it could've ended on. And that's why I think they did absolutely the best job they ever could've done with atla, and why it still hurts to listen to it, even now. We are truly the generation that was inspired by atla and even tlok, and that is truly a blessing.
To this day, nothing makes me feel really emotional like “The legend of Korra” has. An emotional trip from teenager to adult and I’m glad I had that experience. It made me feel really connected to Korra.
Y'all need to re-watch ATLA and LOK one after the other. LOK is nowhere near garbage, it was amazing in its own way and a decent sequel that actually expands on the concepts and lore of the world introduced in the 1st series. They have their own issues that are comparatively more complex than in ATLA. Different, but not a bad different.
In Korra I liked the Part most when Zaheer and his troop first came, but I never liked this too advanced world where 60 years later the middleage developed to an almost modern time with robot fighters. I think ATLA was just perfect.
I grew up watching Avatar The Last Airbender, rewatching it and Legends of Korra costed me a lot of tissues and rethinking of my life choices. Both shows have a special place in my heart and always will.
I just finished watching legend of Korra for the first time , 10years after it aired ; because I had no idea there was a sequel after Last airbender. And I’m stunned. This is a huge crush. At first I didn’t believe I would like it because Last airbender already put the level so high , although Legend of Korra didn’t disappoint at all either. It was so innovating surprising and touching too, full of action and wisdom. And the music is so beautiful and powerful too. I hope they will give live concerts of this whole playlist. 🙏
I'm glad u did. I recently re-watched it. Watching it as an adult made me realise n relate to Korra's hardships more. Srsly both series r a gem in their own way. I wish they were more popular tbh
Actually yeah that’s accurate! Aang as a child was a nomad and went everywhere as a child! Korra, meanwhile was forced to be isolated in the South Pole just for training.
Korra would have been the perfect Avatar for the black-and-white, brutal head-on conflict of the Hundred Years' War, and Aang would have been the perfect Avatar for the nuanced, morally gray conflicts of the Republic City era. Realizing this, and that both of them were thrown into exactly the kind of challenges they weren't suited for, helped me learn a lot about the role of conflict in storytelling!
I was diagnosed with depression almost a year ago now. I have been hopeless for such a long time that it took me a while to realize what I was feeling: hope. There's something about this show and it's music that makes me feel like everything is going to get better.

@Playfulpanthress Yeah this show is a masterpiece. It's like people think that admitting this show was great somehow ruin ATLA or something. You can even tell the people who hate it loves it. Why else would they go on every Korra vid commenting, watching peoples reactions to the show, etc. Haters are really just fans 😂.
@Playfulpanthress Thank you! I love TLOK, i mean it has its moments where it could have been better but it's still a great show imo. But you totally get me. (fuck Nickelodeon)
This video helped me study to get to Japan, now I sit in my apartment in Tokyo studying for my finals at one of Japan's top Universities. Thank you for being here on all those sleepless nights
ATLA and LOK are my go to comfort shows. Watching Aang and Korra grow up and become two of the most noble and strong Avatars has been absolutely amazing and I'm so thankful for all the lessons the shows have taught me.
I really have to cry when I hear this music.. I’m so sad that it has ended, but also so happy and grateful that it happened.. The only thing I want is the next avatar series!!!
*I like it how ATLA and TLoK each have unique music. I remember last week I was at a restaurant with my family, and my brother listened to the music playing there, and said “This sounds like TLOK music..” and I was like “Oh ya! That’s true.”*
I can’t believe how different this show has made me. I watch ATLA and LOK every day, meditate and do yoga now, and now focus on the martial arts corresponding with each element. It has truly made me feel like a better me!
Korra was someone who needed a vacation from being the avatar. She needed a chance to make mistakes, like a regular child but that opportunity never came. Making mistakes is human and that's what childhood is for. She was thrusted all this responsibility way too early. Not everyone can be Aang. Kid was an allegory for a Buddha/Jesus, that's very hard shoes to fill. That's how you ended up having a timeskip where Korra leaves to go find herself.
Aang's story is incredible and I love it but Korra's feels more personal to me. The way she falls to the bottom and manages to climb up to the top is very inspiring. Korra will always hold a dear place in my heart ❤️
I wish there were more people who understand who Korra is. Sure she’s a brat at some times but that’s part of her character. She struggles just like aang. She really did not deserve the hate she gets.
People says Avatar: the last airbender is better than this show. But in my opinion, both shows are great and interesting in their own way. People shouldn't compare these two great shows together as Aang and Korra are living in different generations with different background story. Both are my favourite shows ❤️❤️❤️
the last airbender had this level of magic and mystery that is undescribable. Legend of Korra has to many instances that has me shaking my head, I admit...there were scenes that had me feeling Korra's pain but not on Aang's level. Losing his bison, multiple occasions that he let the world down, the burden of carrying the weight of the war on his shoulders at such a young age, aang was only 12 when he received the news that he was the Avatar. Running away and letting the Fire nation wipe out his nation. Korra didn't have a war on her shoulders when she was a kid. Having Zuko and the fire nation hunting him down...Aang didn't have a childhood, Korra did. She didn't bear the brunt of the world till she was 16, even then...It didn't really start till she was 20. Korra didn't have a connection to her Avatar state like Aang did, he had a spiritual connection and had a more powerful Avatar state than Korra did. When we witnessed Aang go into his Avatar state we knew that something was going to happen, it was a pure destructive force unlike anything the world had ever seen. Legend of Korra just doesn't have that wow factor.
@@Dwayneff yeah I agreed with what you actually said. Korra really lack of that wow factor and the avatar state seems like not really appreciated by her if compared to Aang.
@@Dwayneff aang was never put in a wheelchair tho. There was rarely if ever a moment where he wanted to help but physically couldn't. The dynamic between their relationship with being the "avatar"is as follows. Aang doesn't want to be the avatar but is constantly forced to be one as he sheds his personal ideals in favor of the world. Korra only ever wanted to be the avatar but is constantly forced to reexamine what it means to be an avatar as everything that she thought made her an avatar is taken away.
@@abdikhaliqaden5731 I watch the avatar so many time when I was younger, it was amazing too but time move on so I really enjoy The legend of Korra alot
I wept listening to service and sacrifice for the very first time... Take me back man...when the sun was warmer, the grass was greener and i was happier
I'm happy I'm in the last generation that will cherish atla and tlok. I'm honoured. The generation 2 decades from now would never know about these 2 masterpieces I hope we share these with our children and grandchildren because everyone learnt something from these.
Mehn it helped me relax and sleep, woke up this morning and it feels... bless those that did this masterpiece. I mean from ATLA to LOK, all the soundtracks are just amazing. Played all through my night. And it was beautiful 😌😌😌 bless them indeed
Korra is such an amazing character. Aang had to face a lot of pain and disturbance, but he was himself through thick and thin, he was able to save the world as himself Korra was confident to a fault, proud of her strength and ability, but she couldn't change the world without growth, she went through heavy PTSD, lost herself, and her natural confidence. But she grew so much, Book 4 Korra is so much different than Book 1 Korra, and I love it. It was a beautiful arc of a stablish hero brought to the pits and then rising higher than ever before. I love Korra so much "When we hit our lowest point, we are open to the greatest change"
All these musics, especially the book 4 ending music brings back memories and everything from 2012-2015. I’m finally watching lok again since 2015, and I still love it and enjoy it.
I remember seeing a a similar comment about Aang vs Korra and I wanted to share: *Aang’s story is about him sharing his compassion to a world that needs him. Korra’s story is about learning compassion in a world that doesnt want her.*
i have watched bith series so many times and i am going to watch it again and again and again hearing these soundtracks i became so emotional and sad... idk why
When I first heard the credits music for TLoK, I was blown away by how serene it was... And then I heard the finale music, and damn... I never expected the credits music could be transformed and improved into something much more greater and beautiful, yet there it was... Kudos, Jeremy Zuckerman, and thank you for the wonderful music...
I wish by god this series continues... Whatever may come after, I would do everything to see a continuation and an expansion of the avatar universe. A third season has so much potential. So many opportunities for great and powerful stories. It would mean so much for me
With that last note, my heart finally broke. I only watched it for the first time very recently, starting Avatar at the beginning of 2020 and that was mainly due to the absolute god that is Toph. Then as lockdown began I finally got to Korra, and was completely blown away. Great characters, music is completely on point, and while there are some downs to it (season 2), I personally like that they decided to go a new route and further explore the universe rather than do a rehash of Avatar. All the villains are perfectly fleshed out with understandable motives (Zaheer and Amon being the stand outs for me) and it delves back to the past and its lore well; you feel ecstatic when all these characters are reintroduced like Katara in the first episode to Toph's brilliant twinktoes quote in season 4. The final scene of Korra and Asami holding hands combined with the perfect score by Jeremy Zuckerman, it just left me in tears wanting more and completely staggered that I had never watched this before.
The last song is by far my favorite, the glockenspiels (im pretty sure thats the right instrument) give such an ominous yet peaceful feeling that i love so much.
I wish there was more to it, these two series of avatars arn't only cartoons, but their masterpieces and works of art I can't explain with words, not there's deep meaning to every single quote included which makes this whole series complete. These will truly be one of the most unique cartoons ever being made.
service and sacrifice will always give me goosebumps.. how can i not think of that scene when it plays and cry my eyes out knowing the lengths Korra went to accomplish what she did, solidifying a future for air benders and nomads to restore balance to the world. we can learn a lot of lessons from these shows and man are there a lot of lessons in the avatar world. god bless mike and bryan, they really changed my life with these masterpieces
It always fascinates me when people put Aang on a pedastal but then absolutely hate Korra. In my opinion that's really ignorant. Each Avatar has done good and bad. Kyoshi for example is really the one responsible for the corruption found in the Earth kingdom, this led to wide spread poverty, discrimination, and a dictatorship disguised as a monarchy. Kyoshi is responsible for the mass suffering of thousands if not millions. Until you can truly understand that no avatar is perfect, youll never be able to truly appreciate the Legend of Korra.
There is comics for after both LoK and ATLA. Plus the Kyoshi novels(Rise of Kyoshi and Shadow of Kyoshi), giving details on past Avatars that have been mentioned; Kyoshi, Kuruk, Yangchen and the fire Avatar before Roku.
@@alex29super aye the kyoshi novels are up for adaptation and I'm all for that. honestly though knowing Mike and Brian Brian probably will try and do a new timeliness in the avatarverse. I'd like to see a yangchen series as she and kuruk were pretty prominent in kyoshi but I also would like to see a rolu series. I know we kinda got his story at the end of avatar but it would be cooler to see the politics behind the 100 years wars In more detail

Like, damn, I'd say Aang has it a little easier.

best scene on entire Korra series

For sure

(I have a theory that even if killed in the Avatar state, the Avatar can still exist in some form because Ravaa and Vatuu cannot be fully destroyed.)

@@Goliath1337 you fools have no basis for any of your points of beliefs , and the only argument your 3 year old brain can co.s up with is " you didn't watch the sh ow"
Season one: korra blatantly ignores all of tenzin's attempts to try and teach her the path to spirituality, all of korra's improvements to air bending is in the physical sense, not the spiritual.

People shouldn't compare these two great shows together as Aang and Korra are living in different generations with different background story. Both are my favourite shows ❤️❤️❤️
Exactly
This is exactly how I feel!
the last airbender had this level of magic and mystery that is undescribable.

This summer, I binged ATLA and LOK on Netflix. I can say without a doubt that there may never be any other animated shows as good as these two
Korra is such an amazing character.
Aang had to face a lot of pain and disturbance, but he was himself through thick and thin, he was able to save the world as himself
Korra was confident to a fault, proud of her strength and ability, but she couldn't change the world without growth, she went through heavy PTSD, lost herself, and her natural confidence.
But she grew so much, Book 4 Korra is so much different than Book 1 Korra, and I love it.

Avatar's love is my favorite soundtrack of all time. There is a sense of peace and sadness and happiness I get from it.
I wish there was more to it, these two series of avatars arn't only cartoons, but their masterpieces and works of art I can't explain with words, not there's deep meaning to every single quote included which makes this whole series complete. These will truly be one of the most unique cartoons ever being made.
to all those people who are throwing hate at korra "we were never angry at you we were sad because we were afraid you lost your way" - uncle iroh
service and sacrifice will always give me goosebumps.. how can i not think of that scene when it plays and cry my eyes out knowing the lengths Korra went to accomplish what she did, solidifying a future for air benders and nomads to restore balance to the world. we can learn a lot of lessons from these shows and man are there a lot of lessons in the avatar world. god bless mike and bryan, they really changed my life with these masterpieces
"Avatar relaxing music"
Literally the most horiffically anguished heart wrenching tracks i've ever heard
This show is the best I have ever seen and it taught me morals while blowing my mind. The people that made it are genius!
Until you can truly understand that no avatar is perfect, youll never be able to truly appreciate the Legend of Korra.

ulan baatar kyoshu
this needed to be said. You summarised it up perfectly
I see you’ve realized your shortcomings after death, now standing up for others in new ways. Thank you.
The violin strings at 13:00 gives me chills. The Avatars theme is iconic.
13:05 Never fails to give me goosebumps.
Keishen Lloyd ohhhhhhh yessss😭

Why isn't there continuation??
😭😭😭😫
There is comics for after both LoK and ATLA. Plus the Kyoshi novels(Rise of Kyoshi and Shadow of Kyoshi), giving details on past Avatars that have been mentioned; Kyoshi, Kuruk, Yangchen and the fire Avatar before Roku.
@@jonathanjohnson6727 Szeto
they've recently announced that avatar is coming back!
@@jackb2503 It is! But probably without Aang or Korra. That's why it hurts =(
@@alex29super aye the kyoshi novels are up for adaptation and I'm all for that. honestly though knowing Mike and Brian Brian probably will try and do a new timeliness in the avatarverse. I'd like to see a yangchen series as she and kuruk were pretty prominent in kyoshi but I also would like to see a rolu series. I know we kinda got his story at the end of avatar but it would be cooler to see the politics behind the 100 years wars In more detail
