All I did was right click on the icon that was changed, clicked on create shortcut (the shortcut will show the icon the way it was originally) rename the shortcut, and delete the bad icon. Done! Why all the icons changed who knows, but I wasn't going to mess with windows their patches always seem to change things again lol.

just fyi there is a commandprompt command that will reset windows and other icons back to default, I do not know what it is off the top of my head but if your like me and this wont work, try a google search for
command prompt to reset windows icons to default
