I'm suprised that prices are rising. I was expecting the helmets to tank in price after Finland dumped thousands of M35s onto the collectors markets.
, in 2012 an american dealer bought thousands of surplus ww2 german type helmets from storage in finland, 80 percent were the postwar german m40/52, redesignated by the finns as m40/55, 10 percent were actual ww2 german shells of varying types and 10 percent were the hungarian m36 which is a hungarian copy of the m35,so the statement that finland dumped thousands of m35s onto the collector market is not true.,good honest unaltered german ww2 steel helmets will always fetch premium prices...and people will pay it.
@@historicmilitaria1944 From the articles I read at the time in Military Trade Magazines, I have to disagree with you. The Finnish Helmets at the time were using the Wartime machines ( earlier post-war ones used the wartime Revit patterns and rolled edges) but the suspention systems were changed. This was done in a de-militarized Germany for export / police in hopes of trying and get some kind of employment back for Germany post-1945. Still at even the 10 percent, it is still alot of helmets entering the market. But with the growth of any market any new inventory would hungrily get bought up by collectors. Interesting lot though.

Have a repeo splinter trousers , from Miltec, cut like a modern BDU, may get pullover top later. Cool historic pattern. Of course the real ones are rare ,but at least the repros available in larger sizes for us Yanks.

It took me over three years to find my Anti-Partisan Badge, because of the rarity and the fact that it is heavily faked now. If you join collector forums you might find someone parting a collection with one in it.

Regardless of how evil they were, we need to preserve historical artifacts to remember what occured, not burn it. That's one problem with so many wanting to destroy historical pieces as if it will all go away if it's gone. These things provide a clear visual to remind people of what did occur and what could happen in the future, especially if people are not vigilant of the world events. The world is already full of morons that believe none of this ever occurred, which is just unbelievable and sad to know we have people that stupid.
