Hi Cheryl, I made that Lasagne last night, it was delicious, I'd never have thought of putting some Bechamel through the meat sauce but it turned out FAB. I've got 4 portions in the freezer now. Thanks again x
Outstanding recipe! You are the master of "food magic" Cheryl .. turning ordinary ingredients into incredibly delicious dishes. I would have been hollering "when are we going to eat" right along with your family :-) Thumbs up as always! xx
It is said that you have learned to cook when you make your sauces, which goes a long way with me because I have always chickened out. brw you always start with I hope you have had a wonderful day - so far..... yet you still never spoil it :-). I have made this with Cheddar Cheese (and packet sauce) and it has turned out oily. I cannot make this - or to much of anything untill I have made some space in my Freezers. One of them failed a couple of weeks ago and has not yet been replaced but it will get made AND I hope to make the sauce. Thank you.
I’ve just tried your recipe as I needed to make various freezer portions for a friends daughter. Ate some of it fresh and it is gorgeous! Yum! Thank you.
Looks lovely, I've never thought about adding the white sauce to the meat sauce, but I'll give it a go now. Thanks as always for a great video Cheryl x
Delicious recipe! I look forward to making this when my sister comes for a visit (she live a few states away) as she *loves* lasagna...and this will be quite different than what she makes at home. :)
I'm intrigued by your idea of adding some bechamel to the mince. I saw you add grated cheese to the the mince in another recipe too. This is a new idea to me and I'm looking forward to trying it. Cheers for now, Dougie.
First time for me making lasagne. Brilliant, very tasty..thank you..portion control somewhat large..I used near enough half your quantities and filled a 24cm by 24cm oven dish I reckon would do 5 or 6 folk 😀
Looks lovely. I tend to make a big pot of bolognese and keep some extra for the lasagne. Never thought of adding the white sauce to the bollog though. Might give that a try 👍🏻
Hi Cheryl.. I made your lasagne here in the Philippines. I used pork instead of ground beef. It turned out great. Even my family here in the Philippines loved it, they keep asking when you make lasagne again. Love your videos and recipes. Miss my Scottish food. Haha.
I love lasagne , Iv never added wine but I have seen the likes of Laura vitale, Jamie Oliver etc doing it so Iv always fancied trying it but as we don't drink alcohol we've never any wine in the house, Iv never thought of buying the Wee bottle that you can get in the supermarket I should try that , your Lasagne looks delicious Cheryl X
Just watching while eating a cheese sandwich for lunch I really like your recipe for lasagne and Please can you tell me how you warm the lasagne up if you make it the day before.? Thank you so much I find watching very relaxing
Hello Nicole. I must say that looks really delicious. Plus I'm not a big lasagna lover,I'm definitely interested in trying this thanks X God bless you and keep you safe.
You could either pop it in the microwave to warm it through (add a little extra mozzarella to the top :) or back into the over...cover in foil. Quite a low heat (gas 5) just until it's warmed through....probably 20-25 minutes x
Needs mushrooms! Looks delicious Cheryl. Actually did you know that hot roux and cold liquid you will never get lumps! It's true! Mushrooms are the most virtuous of fungi because they have the best morels.....
I'm a recent sub to your fantastic cooking channel, and my word, do you 100% deserve MILLIONS of subscribers! 'What's ForTea' is right up there with the best of the best cooking channels to be found on TH-cam, or anywhere online. May I add, the best cooking channels are without exception, those run by expert HOME COOKS. Because home cooks like yourself are making fantastic food for people they love, day in, day out, 24-7. You can keep the so-called 'celebrity chefs' (99% of whom are of course male - quelle surprise!) It's the human beings who cook at least one meal for themselves and their loved ones every day, who are the REAL experts, and most deserving of fame and fortune. I am a middle aged woman who only learned to cook in my mid 40s. Prior to that I was a career girl, single and childless, living and working the London in the media world. When I got home to my empty flat after a busy, often stressful and frequently long day, the last thing I was interested in doing was cooking a meal from scratch for myself! So of course I lived on mass-produced sandwiches, restaurant meals, takeaways and multiple unhealthy snacks. The only two dishes I knew how to cook back then (if you don't count a full English breakfast!), was a roast dinner and lasagne. I thought my lasagne was pretty damn good - til I saw your recipe Cheryl. You have taught this 'old dog' several new tricks, one of which was adding a ladleful of the bechemel/white sauce to your beef bolognese, which of course enriches and 'silk-ifies' it. That is sheer genius! Ditto the two egg yolks you incorporate in your bechemel - perfection. You are a class act and a magnificent woman. Thank you for sharing your mighty gifts here. You deserve every bit of the massive success that is coming to you. BRAVO, sending you love and gratitude from rural Gloucestershire. XXX HAPPY NEW YEAR! 💖😻💖😻💖😻💖😻💖😻💖😻💖😻💖
Awesome! Wow! Hi, my friend! Your channel and video are really cool and great. Your food glows. So I want to eat and get hungry because it looks so delicious. And the food sounds so good that I feel like I'm healing. Your video is wonderful! I will support you from now on! Let's communicate with me, my friend! :D !!!
I was taught not to use garlic as it takes away flavour from white sauce, also the white sauce just over top layer. If you put sauce between layers its more runny.
I don't cook much anymore, but I love to listen to your voice.
" bags of color"

Amazing thanks you 👍
I put a spoon of sugar in all my tomato sauces, it takes the acid taste away, 💕
If you make it the day before how long do you reheat and at what temperature? Always love watching your channel xx

I always find lasagna too heavy for my stomach. It is very filling indeed.
Steven Holt it can be quite heavy Steven 😊 very rich too! I wouldn’t serve too much...and have it with a light salad. Thanks for watching
Can I use any cheese?
