Because I watched Fantastic 4 and Avengers as a kid but never realised Cap and Torch were played by the same actor. Usually I'd realise straight away and call either Cap the Human Torch or Human Torch as Steve.

The MCU has steps to fill in.
Maybe it's just me huffing copium since I grew up with these movies as a kid, but because of the different costume in Deadpool and Wolverine I like to believe that that Johnny was a variant and the OG Chris Evans Johnny from these movies is still alive in his original universe with his F4.
@@Batmobileize Always just assume that when legacy characters show up as cameos in multiverse movies that they're just nearly identical versions of that original movie character with some changes just to ensure that they're not exactly the OG. For example how Doc Ock had different clothes on in No Way Home. He's pretty much the same character but that small change in clothing ensures that he isn't the exact same version. No worries about touching those old movies

It makes no sense for NWH to be in the exact same continuity as the Raimi or Webb movies because not only does it not match up, especially with Raimi's films, but it would be tarnishing that canon completely
