Going to see Hamilton in a few weeks and am delighted that Daniel is going to be the King as watched this clip so man times. Really looking forward to his performance but still unsure if the rap music in it will be too much.
This is an amazing song, that is far more historically literate than most people realise. The only problem I have is the way it is sung with the Noel coward vowels. Surely a Hanoverian monarch might have had a slight Germanic accent, even if George III was far more English than it suits his distractors to acknowledge.
While I cannot speak to the diction of an 18th century English monarch per se, George III was the first of the Hanoverian kings, who was born and raised in England, spoke English as a first language and he never visited Hanover in his entire life. So, that depiction of him without a German accent is probably right on that account.
Daniel Boys absolutely nailed it.
Daniel Boys is absolutely fantastic and a lovely gentleman.
Daniel, Simply the best 😊
I saw him in Hamilton on Wednesday, I love him so much and I'm so glad I've got this clip so I can sort of rewatch his performance :)

True but I think sometimes they have to give apple what they expect eg "Queens/Kings English"
