No. Miranda is a professional theatre performer. He doesn't get nervous. He's actually incredibly GRACIOUS. That's what that was about. ok but can i just talk about that lyric for a sec? "i am not throwing away my shot" is the most genius line in the entire damn play. alex says it for the whole play but in the end, he points his gun in the air and doesn't shoot aaron burr, (he throws away his shot). lin is a genius.
he needs to listen to selfish by Madison beer ;c
Emily Blunt is such a nurturer....you can see from her expression how proud she is of Lin doing his rap and was so mothering after he finished it. I barely can remember lyrics to songs so I am in awe of all the actors/musicians that can remember every line in Hamilton!
I love how he says he would rather be fielding requests for tickets to his show than basically begging random strangers on the street to see his show. I mean that is the big picture. Beautiful.
At the Edinburgh Fringe, too - as an Englishman who has spent most of his life in Edinburgh, I love that he came here before he was famous...
i just realized that in us history in a few years teachers r gonna be lazy and let kids watch Hamilton in class for a few days to review. lucky brats
Lmao
My history teacher had us listen to the soundtrack on classroom because she was sick and our sub had no clue what was going on for the class.
It kind of reminds me of what inspired School House Rock. A creator/producer was wondering why his son couldn’t memorize his times tables but knew so many popular songs by heart.
we are literally watching hamilton for history class right now haha
it helped me for some of my history exams actually hahah
"Romanes ite domum"
Lin is the human embodiment of uncomfortable singing but super good at singing anyways, and also having the talent of singing an entire musical by himself
no, Lin is the embodiment of singing confidently while in the bathroom
I was soooooo hoping the the audience would say “he says in parentheses” with Lin
SAME
I love how he spells ALEXANDER and I can still hear the beat
Me too. He looked so nervous it was adorable!
NO-TO-RIO-US, u just, lay down slow- Notorious BIG

JG Adms omg i heard that too!!
I was surprised the audience wasn't whispering or singing it along with him at that part. I mean..... I know I was 😜(definitely not while watching this alone in a silent room)

I'm pretty sure was speaking just for himself and he meant his role as Hamilton.
@@MsBeth62880 I'm pretty sure this was meant to be a joke
Exactly!😂🤣
AAHAHHAHAHA I THOUGHT SO! LAFAYETTE LINES IN THAT SONG ARE INSANEEEEE
For me "Imeanyougottaputsomethoughtintotheletterbutthesoonerthebettertogetyourrighthandmanback" is probably the hardest line, and the only one I will likely never be able to pronounce correctly
Lin: "I'm really glad he didn't take it personally."
Prince Harry after dropping out of royal family: *and i took that personally*
this is a brilliant comment
🤣
😂🤣
🤣
Just like Michael Jordan
3:53 emily is just.. hypnotized by this man's talent.. like everybody else, am i right?-
"now drink, now drink, now drink"

Or like Donald Trump...
THATS WHAT I THOUGHT LMAO
Omg same
"A glass of what, Mr. Washington?"
"Apple juice!"
Elmo and Washington from the Sesame Street video promoting Hamilton.
The way he starts to smile
Like he's remembering how the audience did-- I love him
*Nails the entire rap*: “.. it’s something like that”
Uh huh, okay totally Miranda..
Lin-Manuel Miranda gives me dad vibes yet childhood wonder vibes. He's just genuinely a funny guy.
Basically the dad who’s just wants to make sure you’re having fun
"cAn I sTaNd?"
man, u are lin manuel miranda....
OF COURSEEEEE
Everybody form a protective circle around Lin. He is too precious for this world.

Absolutely! While the world’s gone mad & there is no amusement ANYWHERE, we are forced to (thankfully) watch Hamilton streaming on Disney+. Thank goodness! Absolutely brilliant. But I’m sure not a shade on the live production. I want to hear those heavenly voices!! Love love love 💕
I’m back after seeing it on Disney today. It’s absolutely wonderful.
I haven't seen it yet I have disney + but haven't got round to watching it
Emily Blunt being a wonderful audience member is so endearing.
So when Lin was sick
He still wanted to go to Broadway
His wife told him to stay still
Remind you of something?
-Or, rather, someONE?-
Book Butterfly HmMMMmmMmmm NOooooOoo
Oh no.

Now the question is if Alexander Hamilton himself possesses Lin Manuel-Miranda or if he's the reincarnation of Alexander of Hamilton

Am I the only one who thinks he’s rocking a Tony Stark vibe in this?
ME TOO. I thought I was the only one. The first time I knew Lin and Hamilton, they always reminds me of RDJ and Tony Stark. Different but similar in their own way.
YES HIS CONFIDENCE AND THE WAY THAT HE LIKE SITS A BIT OFF THE CHAIR WHEN TALKING TO GRAHAM
Yeah, you know when I first told my sister about Hamilton and showed her Lin’s beautiful face I was like ‘hey, wait a minute...HE KINDA LOOKS LIKE TONY STARK’ my sister also agreed xd
yes

Imagine being the dude who single handedly made theatre cool for an entire generation and musicals something you actually want to sit through.
Yas!!! 👍😊 Jonathan Larson did the same for my generation. This bit harkens back to how impressive it was to see someone perform "Modern Major General" in Pirates of Penzance..... I'm really old. 😕
Amazing
Imagine being part of the generation that buys into the Disneyfied storyline.
Al lopez Yawn.
@@allopez33 eh, it is like a Shakespearian history play, accessible but not entirely accurate, and hey, he did bring attention to that specific part of American history, got people to read about the people in the play, like there are people out there now learning the badassery of Peggy Schuyler for example, you need to have an accessible entry point to the subject matter, and condensing roughly half a century of history into 3 hours focusing on 1 specific man in the middle of it, does make it relevant and worth looking into
Lin: nails all the lyrics
Also Lin: “it’s something like that”
I can't count how many times I've watched this great entertainer in his role in Hamilton. He is truly one of the great people in the entertainment industry. Both humble and talented sometimes seems like a rare combination

It's especially impressive that he just admitted that this was the hardest part of the performance for him to get through, then he has to perform it on the spot, acapella with zero preparation (mental or vocal) knowing that if he screws it up most people aren't going to appreciate the actual degree of difficulty for what he's doing.
Lin: I could try

King George: You’ll be BECK!
Years later...
Brits applauding the American Revolution!
@Marvel'sDoctorEd 2 That's really not true.
Britain was very divided about the American War at the time. As were the colonies themselves... though the loyalist Americans are usually written out of the narrative.
@Marvel'sDoctorEd 2 Ah, I misunderstood you. You're certainly right about that.
I thought you were suggesting that George III was a specifically maligned or mocked figure in the UK.
@@willhazell1447 It was very controversial and scandalous- kind of like Brexit is today. It's important to understand that the colonists, including the Founding Fathers, identified as British. Benjamin Franklin lived in London for over 15 years. He attended George III's coronation, and his son William, was in the procession.
