Your best video ever Dan & Kika, It was very exciting with the boat races in Martinique and the turmoil in the harbors, but the best was leaving Martinique and allowing Kika to exhibit her singlehanded sailing skills without interference from Dan. It was a very good call Dan in allowing Kika to sort out solutions on her on, unless the video was falsely edited you are a master at interpersonal relationships aboard a sailboat. Well done Kika! I follow only sailing channels and I have been following Uma from the start. You scared me at first with all the boat repairs needed, removal of life lines, removal of diesel engine that could save you from a lee shore, marginal dinghy with questionable capability and then you sailed right into Haiti to encounter Hurricane Matthew at anchor with Dan on board to weather it out. Very scary stuff! You have proven yourselves as very capable sailors and were wise enough to move yourselves well south for the hurricane season. You have become masters at shooting and editing truly exceptional videos, I applaud you!
What a exciting fortune to be ringside for a Island wide celebration! The thought of all the devastation left by the hurricanes must be disheartening! I am so glad to have them all brought to life though my Sailing Channels. Praying for all effected! As always #LoveSailingUma

Great self-challenge, way to go!! You are gonna LOVE Bequia, go try the banana bread at Frangipanni. And can recommend a hike to the secluded beaches on the east coast. I was there for christmas and new years 1990/91 having caribbean style traditional scandinavian christmas dinner with other sailor from Scandinavia, it has become a meet up and hang out for people from Scandi.... used to be a Norwegian whaling station there. Well enough from me dont wanna spoil the surprise, unless you are already there or on to other adventures
Your videos just keep on getting better and better Dan and Kika! Scary with people in the water amongst that meyhem - we saw first hand what happens when a propeller meets someone in the water... We made a video trying to raise awareness about this after weitnessing what we did. It's called '0.97 seconds' if anyone would like to know what happened. Just watched another video that pointed out that a lot of boats were damaged and/or sunk in the recent hurricanes. With your skills at boat repair, have you considered buying another boat and fixing it up to sell?
They been during this for a long time, I don't think you guys were in danger. It's no different when they do this in the San Francisco Bay in California. You guys was strangers who were in the way. Lol
I want to say many people have lost everything the Hurricanes have destroyed most everything from so many of the Islands and the loss of life is terrible and I'm praying for all the people of the Caribbean Sea Islands they need everything and many sailing boats and fishing boats and homes are gone they need food and water please help them if you can.God have mercy on their souls amen.

Gull wing (or wing-on-wing) is when you're running with the two sails out on opposite sides, rather than both on the same side.
