That was some gorgeous drone footage of the volcano. Hard to believe what looks so lush, serene, and beautiful was an angry monster that reeked havoc on the island nearly 118 years ago. Thanks for sharing the history as well as the footage.
Wow, it looks very "crowded" in the bay.......! Nice story about the one and only survivor in 1902. So, after all, prison is not that bad :) Thanks for this 41th episode, I like it very much. And again great nice views from the drone.
It's great that you guys like to mention all the history of the places you visit, thanks for sharing. Glad you to see you walking again Malin! good luck
Dragging behind the boat while it's moving is a good way to lose your shorts. I came real close to losing mine one time while learning to water ski. They were around my ankles by the time I remembered you're supposed to let go of the rope when you fall. :)
I am elighted to see that your toe is healing well and it appears that you can walk comfortably. Great video of your visit and lovely scenery. I'm amazed how clear the water is where you dropped anchor!
made it up to episode 41. as a new member of your audience, and Patreon, I try not to skip ahead to your episode 161. so very interesting. dragging the drone around with you must be a chore, but the shots are incredible and ad so much.
I'm sure it must be a pain carrying the DJI but I love the footage from it - added a very different perspective on the mountain than what we could see from the ground footage. Nice!
Wow, I don't know that I have said this about too many videos before but the audio for this one was superb as was the choice of music for the start of it. I immediately gave a "sigh" and I could feel myself relax... wonderful stuff and I haven't even gotten more than a few seconds in!
You guy have really changed from leaving Sweden in a snow storm, the Caribbean has come to be your favorite sailing area, and the tans look good on ya, I think you've found a home 🙂
Wow, what an amazing place. That bloke in the prison was still very lucky to have survived the heat in his cell, let alone being stuck there for 4 days. Glad you go the car sorted and managed to get up into the hills. Looking at the pair of you compared to your friend, you can see how long you have been away... Looking forward to the next one mate, cheers for now... ;-}
Great video :) Looked like a beautiful hike up the mountain. Almost forgot about your toe, I'm sure coming back down must have been painful. Thanks again for the video :)
Another great video guys, love the local history lesson and I too am glad your toe is healing well enough to walk without crutches. Amazing how damage to one of those little buggers can affect nearly everything else, knees, hips, back, to say nothing about the actual pain from the injury itself. No wonder shoes were invented. You lift my spirit watching you guys enjoying life.
Hej RAN.
Johan, remember mon... you are in the Islands. Take it easy.... take it slow. Don't expect service from a car rental place like you would in the EU or the US... they work on a different time than we do... glad you got the car though so we could see your excellent video footage of the volcano. As usual, you guys are great at capturing your experiences.
You're right Bob, but it's just frustrating when you have made a reservation the day before but when you gonna pick up the car they say that we never made a reservation and that there's no car available. But luckily they "found" a car and we could explore the island on Malin's friends last day. Thanks for watching!
I really enjoy watching you have so much fun. It's very wise of you to use your lives to have such great adventures! Also, it's interesting to see how tan you are and how pale your visitor is! You obviously enjoy the sunshine!!
Nice hike up the old Volcano 🌋 and interesting story about the old Capital Being distroyed by the lava flow, 30,000 people... Except one prisoner 13:50 In a cell. 😱😳🤔🤭
yea..a 500 mako, not me...looks fun...maybe when I'm sailin....NOT!...great video, love the exploration and history you guys work in...take it easy til that toe heals...favorable winds!
You are doing such a good job, i give you 5 on 5 for the form and 5 on 5 for the content.Only 1 advice to Johan: first time i see you angry ( a little angry) since you left Sweden, be careful. :-)Keep enjoy your dream and freedom !
Thank you for yet Another great show. Has to admit this one is one of my favorites.Happy to see Malins toe is better and I figure going up is easier than going downhill. To bad you did not make it up. Perhaps you get Another shot at it.How was customs? Fees? Do you have to pay an anchor fee too?Interseting mix of sailing, droneshooting, trecking, nature, wildlife, Town, party, food and great Company. Må välMed vänlig hälsningMagnus Falköping
Y'know one of the things I was going to used in my RV was a mini stair stepper... they essentially give you the same exercise as a full sized gym machine but stow away pretty compactly. I know Ran is packed pretty full but I think you could find a place for it... you really do need to stay fit!
Yep, sometimes what passes for good service and competence in the Caribbean doesn't match what we might like BUT heck Johan, you may as well just take a day off to make up for it! ; )
hey whats the song when you have the drone out? been trying shazam, but nothing and ive been searching on the website link you added for the song creds... loving the vids tho!! 😆👍loooking forward to watching more! :D
such beauty that belies the hidden dangers... i love the drone especially as it just enters the clouds.. VERY well done. and, being naturally curious, how did the two of you meet? Malin, i would have thought you were Portuguese or Spanish. thank you for taking us on your adventures.
The other survivor of the volcano was a captain leaving port when it blew. His entire crew burned alive or suffocated on deck, but he made it to another island to give the news.
Hey guys, hi from Sailing JAEKA. We are a sailing channel as well. We will be around Saint Martin for the next few weeks. Would be great to meet up with you one day :-)
Thanks so much for showing us Diamond Rock. Anyone interested in British naval fiction knows the great Dudley Pope's episode #7, RAMAGE'S DIAMOND, which highlights the impressive seamanship actually performed during the 1803-5 blockade of Martinique by the British under Lord Hood. Accounts vary as to the size of the guns raised to the top in several locations from 18# to 24 lbrs, but the story is nevertheless an amazing one.
Hey, Ran Sailing. Apologies as I made a simple comment (so I thought) on the passport thing in a previous video and a ton of people seemed to make multiple political nuances out of that. Was not my intention as we love your videography efforts. Will not do that again. Thanks for just ignoring it all. Smart !! 😊👍👌💖 ⚓️ ⛵️ ⚓️ ⛵️ ⚓️
That's standard with Herz anywhere in the Caribbean, you reserve a car with them, turn up, but either they somehow don't have the car reserved, don't have your reservation at all, have a whole different type of vehicle or one you don't want to drive because it's severely scratched, no working aircon, got a broken window, window wipers are broken, missing a bumper, broken bumper, missing lights, lights don't work and the most common one with that company is bad/dangerous state of the tires and terrible/dangerous brakes and very bad service/staff. I've had it in Aruba and Curaçao, friends of mine had it all over the place on other islands in the Caribbean, so it's habitual with that company all across there, not just an isolated thing,...and they aren't cheaper then other car rental places either. I feel your pain Johan,...damn bad company 😠❗
Really love your channel guys. I have been watching all vids since I discovered number 1 about 3 weeks ago. I have a 1981 Vagabond 47 mono hull I'm moving aboard soon and will be living in Ft Meyers Florida playing music full-time. Speaking of which, what is the name of the song you are singing to riding in the car at the end of this segment and who is it by? I love the music you guys dub into your vids.
So wait a minute, if everyone died except for the guy in prison was he saved by people from another island? Otherwise he would have eventually died too. Right? Or did he escape from prison? I'm going to have to read up on this. Thanks. Another great video.
Hertz should never upset a Viking.....Johann be your most terrifying, look them in the eye and say..." the only thing hornier than me is my helmet"....result guaranteed!
Great drone footage, and an incredible forest. Waiting an hour to rent a car isn't bad...it's island time. It took us 2 hours to get our car in Panama, and that's with a reservation.
hey johan! you are drinking nature water in the tropics?? it s very dangerous! speaking from experience! did it on jamaica... worst week after it ever! bad week on toilet ;-))))
That was some gorgeous drone footage of the volcano. Hard to believe what looks so lush, serene, and beautiful was an angry monster that reeked havoc on the island nearly 118 years ago. Thanks for sharing the history as well as the footage.
As always the video was very well done, you should get an Oscar.
PR Martin and the winner is LA LA no wait RAN SAILING ;-)
Capt. Johan, tough life, cruising paradise with a bevy of beautiful Swedish girls. Life is Bra. Cheers Mate!
A beautiful escape, as always. Thanks :D
As always First Class filming and story telling..Thanks for taking us along.
Wow those sunsets are so beautiful and the ocean, everything really :)
It's funny I forget sometimes that you are Swedish as your English is so good, then you switch languages, it's a nice talent to have
Ouch.. a bit rough there matey. Paul Anderson is from Europe btw... LOL
Wow, it looks very "crowded" in the bay.......!
Nice story about the one and only survivor in 1902. So, after all, prison is not that bad :)
Thanks for this 41th episode, I like it very much. And again great nice views from the drone.

Thanks Mike! :)
Great video. Nice editing and good drone footage
Dragging behind the boat while it's moving is a good way to lose your shorts. I came real close to losing mine one time while learning to water ski. They were around my ankles by the time I remembered you're supposed to let go of the rope when you fall. :)
Drone footage was awesome! and the story about the guy in jail was interesting...thanks for sharing!
Thanks for the vlog love your work
I am elighted to see that your toe is healing well and it appears that you can walk comfortably. Great video of your visit and lovely scenery. I'm amazed how clear the water is where you dropped anchor!

Absolutely stunning! The footage and Malin. Such a perfect couple💕💕
Very nice episode.
Keep healing that toe Malin.
Very cool droneshots on that vulcano.
I love when you give us some Swedish "Malmö-accent".
Another great video Malin =)
En vän berättade mig öm dig. Jag njuter videor mycket. Tack.
I'm sure it must be a pain carrying the DJI but I love the footage from it - added a very different perspective on the mountain than what we could see from the ground footage. Nice!
The video footage was very good! Great quality. Thanks for taking us along. JC
Thank you!

Thanks again! Now I will continue to follow you and support you. Love from Sweden where the spring slowly comes!
Tack så mycket Jan! :) Nice that spring is on its way!
You guy have really changed from leaving Sweden in a snow storm, the Caribbean has come to be your favorite sailing area, and the tans look good on ya, I think you've found a home 🙂
Good music and drone footage !
Another great video. Thanks! Martinique is wonderful, and has a great botanical garden. All the best.
Interesting 'Trolling for sharks' segment.
My thought, did they learn to fish from watching the movie "Water World"? 😁
6:54 Sunset so beautiful
That sure was a pretty place thanks for sharing it with us...
I really love your work, always such great videos
Glad you like 'em! Thanks!
The drone footage was sick! Keep up the good work!

Great to hear, thanks! :)
very interesting video of the damage the volcano did...i especially liked the aerial shots....thank you..
Så märkligt att höra all engelska och sen helt plötsligt skånska :)
Great video! Gotta love those Adidas Samba Ran Edition :)
My favorite sneakers :)
Wow, what an amazing place. That bloke in the prison was still very lucky to have survived the heat in his cell, let alone being stuck there for 4 days. Jumping in and being towed behind the boat like that always reminds me of the scene in Waterworld where Kevin Costner does it and makes himself bait!!

Just think, your skin was the same as your friend's when you first started. What a difference a little bit of sun makes. Cheers!
really wonderful episode, the views from the mountain were spectacular.
So interesting. Great job on everything. Love watching these videos.

Another great clip. Are you sure your real job is not working for National Geographic? The editing is great so seamless.
nice
Great video! whats the name of the song that was playing during drone footage of the mountains?
Thank you :) It's a song from EpidemicSound.com!

Good that my toe wasn't bleeding any longer ;)
Trevliga filmer ni gör, kul att följa. Blir det Panama-kanalen och Stilla havet vad det lider eller varvet tillbaka över norra Atlanten?
Tack! Vi kommer att segla västerut mot Panama :)

4:51 what guidebook are you using?
Your videos are more addictive than cocaine.
nice video. proves my belief that all swedish girls are cute
hey johan! you are drinking nature water in the tropics?? it s very dangerous! speaking from experience! did it on jamaica... worst week after it ever! bad week on toilet ;-))))
Especially in the tropics?
11:45 Drone footage, there is something running over the path?
I suppose it's no coincidence that Hertz rhymes with hurts.
What guide were you looking at, at the 5:00 mark.
It's the Imray guide for the lesser Antilles!
