Mike squawking chicken at the parrot ... Shame about the language barrier 😄 love what Dan's Mom said to you Kika about how the knife meant a lot to get ... Part of the family 💗 love stuff like that, means so much to give and get 💗💗
I do agree on the knife. On my tenth birthday my grandmother gave me my first pocketknife (much to my mothers chagrin). You should always (ok, maybe not on a plane anymore) have a pocketknife with you.
Thanks for the memories: In 1961 On the SS Northumberland on our way back from New Zealand we bunkered in Curacao, a very different place than it is today. Right next to the fuel tanks there was a hill with a stone tower reputed to be a lookout built by captain Morgan. I looked on Google Earth but couldn't find it. Watching this is bringing back many memories, the crew on that ship were from Stornoway. The Boson"s nickname was Black Duncan whatever that congers up apply it to the crew. I joined the ship, my first job in the merchant navy in the middle of the English channel. The two other deck boys had jumped ship in Liverpool they were scared of the crew with good reason. That option was not open to me, next stop was Panama.
Ok, it’s 4/20/2022 in my world-and here you are at 100. Congratulations! I’d only recently discovered your channel … and I confess that my binge watching hasn’t always been “in order” It’s been fun identifying the changes in time by the “improvements” you’ve made along the way. Keep it up!!
The bard, the lyricist Kika! Awesome. Lovely to see Mike's mum too. I know I'm behind-hand on these vids, but I'm catching up. I wish you both the best. The technology, the freedom, the life's experience are a joy to connect with. Spoke about your vlog with friends today and you may have some new subs soon!
Bravo, you've kept my attention for 100 great episodes (all my free time over the last two weeks). You're naturally great and I hope everything stays that way until I catch you up in the Artic Circle (were you are no longer wearing togs.) All the best, bye Peter on Heading South
Im a bit late to the dance... was recommended one of your newer videos.... after i watched that i went to episode 1... and have now watched 100!... really enjoy it.. if your ever in copenhagen and need some tips.. hit me up.. great videos, editing etc..by the way🙌🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
I Love your channel and I have actually been to this exact same ranch and rode the ostriches! Incredibly friendly people, ostrich burgers are delicious, and I really liked how they tried to use every little bit of waste on the farm.
A Cape Horn windvane! (Yes, I'm binge watching and forcing myself not to skip ahead.) I bought an Alberg 30 years ago because of Yves. Good choice and Canadian!
Can I just say... YES YES YES to the bracket which holds the tiller extension in place when you don't want to actually hold it - which is most of the time, for me. I've been sailing these dinghies which can't keep the damn tiller extensions out of anyone's way. And they belong to a club, not to me, so, I haven't been able to fit such a bracket.
Bet it was great to have Mom there and take her Sailing for thee very First time..!!! And I have caught up to “100” videos now, just another 180 something to go as I have Watched about 12 of the ones above these. 😱😳. 😆👍😎
Congratulations on Step 100. Love you videos since the first oine when you decided not to f=buy a sofa but a boat and lune in it. Keep sendin new videos. Love Prom paulo, 91 y.o from Rio de Janeiro.
Those lifejackets are awesome! I've got the same one as does my Dad, absolutely love them, cause we don't need to wear a separate harness with them and cause they're so damn comfortable! :D Enjoy and keep safe guys! Ewan
Another fun and interesting episode with excellent editing. I am rather confused about that controller....it looks like a 3-phase AC unit but I thought your motor was DC. I can hardly wait for the episode where Dan talks about and installs this controller. Thank you once again.....
Are you? Are you going to plaster our sticker on some stuff? That's cool..... Bhahaha, that was pretty good. Send us some Uma stickers we'll plaster them too! Hopefully you still get to the Azores early enough for us to hang out....otherwise we might have to be visitors on Uma while touring mainland Europe next December.
Loving your series still! But I wanted to let you know, in case you weren't aware, that step 100 is not actually listed in the season 5 playlist. Just noticed it as I was binging and wanted to give you a heads up.
Congratulations on Step 100! I was hoping this episode would have some information about the knock down you mentioned on Facebook. How far behind are the videos?
As usual a wonderful video. The production of your videos continues to improve. Very high quality. That said I echo the comments on promoting animals for entertainment. I appreciate the hypocrisy of where you set the bar, but my sense is riding an ostrich cleared it in street shoes.
So, reinstalling the bow seat and related lights following the smash...any word :) I for one am still curious about your composting commode situation. Why not more batteries...can you every have too many?
So happy I found this in my suggestion box but didn't get it in the season lineup. Very odd. I blame the smile face in the title. Only thing I can think of messing it up for me.
Nice drone shot! who did those or do you got a drone now? PS i earned a sticker when you went live at the burger bar live feed. We needed to guess the name of something
Just wanted to say thanks. Keep up the great work. Just curious you mentioned you needed a new hard drive for all the videos, is there any way that you could increase your video length by 3 to 5 minutes I always think they're a little too short for me. But I know everybody on TH-cam says keep it short. Maybe you can make a poll and find out what people like the best. Anyways Nicki your signing off. All the best and Fairwinds
Hey guys! Is the navionics card that Dan's mom brought the replacement for the damaged chartplotter from the wave topping the cockpit? The internet makes it hard to tell the real timeline. Either way, another great episode. Huge congratulations on STEP 100!!!!!
Ha, no. BUT, we didn't have charts on the plotter since the BVI's and we finally got them in Curacao....only to wreck the plotter 200miles later. O well. I think I can fix it. Ps. we're only about 3 weeks ahead of our videos now. Facebook and Instagram are pretty much up to date, but it takes quite a bit of time to edit the videos together. Hope that clarifies things a bit. Cheers!
Wow, ok, that makes more sense. Sounds like Murphy's law follows the sea too. I told my wife I was Facebook famous last night: "Kika and Dan replied to me on FB!" Love following y'all.
"I'm sailing. I have a rope, I pulled on it." So cute. Way to go, Mom! ❤️
Dan's Mum is lovely. No wonder Dan is so nice. And Kika got a knife as a symbol of being in the family!
Your mom had the perfect day on the water, bless you.
"I just sailed. I have a rope. *presents rope* I pulled on it." LOL
Mike squawking chicken at the parrot ... Shame about the language barrier 😄 love what Dan's Mom said to you Kika about how the knife meant a lot to get ... Part of the family 💗 love stuff like that, means so much to give and get 💗💗
You have a great mom... and Small boats make great sailors.
Its great. Just now finish 1 to100. Continuously watching....... Its great to see mom of Dan. You are all guys are so cute. I love you all.
"I just sailed, I have a rope, I pulled on it"
Way to go mom 😂😂😂
Oh oops... I just noticed your comment. I copied you. LOL

I have watched all 100 videos! Yay for me. They help me be thankful for each wonderful, beautiful, blessed day. Love you guys!
Charles Thomas me too. Watched them all in just a few days. I need to go sailing!
Hoot! Step 100! Congrats to you both. Look how far you have come in such a short time! Honored to have been part of it!
Ok, it’s 4/20/2022 in my world-and here you are at 100. Congratulations!

Уффф... первые 100 серий сериала. Впереди ещё двести :)
Yep! The first 100 episodes of the series well done. Two hundred more to go :)
The bard, the lyricist Kika! Awesome. Lovely to see Mike's mum too. I know I'm behind-hand on these vids, but I'm catching up. I wish you both the best. Me too! How good is it 😊
9:40 is no one going to talk about how awesome those chairs are? Just me? Ok 👍🏽
Nice video... Thanks a bunch for sharing. :D
You guys are great. I bet it was loads of fun for Dan having his Mom around and sailing.
Still binge watching since #1. Catching up to real time. Loving your travels and each video is better than the last. Keep the fun times coming.
so nice so beautiful adventure you both... amazing. God Bless.
Binged to 100 already, can't wait to see more.
It was like Christmas when Mom came down and brought all of the goodies.
Thanks for another great video! Slowly catching up :-)! Thanks again for sharing your adventures!
Love those life jackets
A week later and I made it to #100!! Excited to see where you go next. xo
Congratulations on 100 great Steps You two have such great style.
I loved the episode. I always wondered if someone light could ride an Ostrich. Now I know. Keep up the great life and the great adventures.
Oh, nice to have an ukulele number by Kira! Nice percussive strum.
Can I just say... YES YES YES to the bracket which holds the tiller extension in place when you don't want to actually hold it - which is most of the time, for me. Great videos, looks like you’re always having a great time. Can’t wait for 101!
Bye EVY can't wait for your next visit
Congrats in step 100! Seems milestone-ish! We really enjoy your channel! Cheers!
Heck yea, love the uke solo! haha. Thanks for sharing the adventures guys!
Loved you video of sailing the little sloop.
You're getting better and better at doing this.
High Altitude emergency instructions, when things go wrong at the top of the mast.... Hahahaha, I had to pause the video for a bit there.
Totally enjoyed the ostrich segment; so educational. Thank you.
Hey I was dancing to the music in the background " WANNA BE STARTIN SOMETHIN" BY MJ. YES!!!!
I didn't know you guys knew MJ Sailing - I also follow them. So cool!
They're great! We've been chatting ever since Florida.
I love you KIKa..., so sweet sailor... he,he,he,he....!! have a nice journal ...!!
Hahaha riding that ostrich was so funny. Great episode ☺
100 video congrats . I've watched and loved everyone. I'm always looking forward to the next one's . Keep up the good work.
Congratulations on your 100th step
Your boat library is pretty impressive I must say!
Congratulations on Step 100. Love you videos since the first oine when you decided not to f=buy a sofa but a boat and lune in it. Keep sendin new videos. Love Prom paulo, 91 y.o from Rio de Janeiro.
I didn't know it was possible to ride a bird. Amazing!
I would love to sail with you guys whenever you’re in Florida.
Those lifejackets are awesome! I've got the same one as does my Dad, absolutely love them, cause we don't need to wear a separate harness with them and cause they're so damn comfortable! :D Enjoy and keep safe guys!

Coming up next week! It's a DC SEPEX controller. It controls the field and armature separately.
His mom says..."With this knife, you are now part of the family.....hint.hint,hint.hint,hint.hint."
This is a wonderful video!!
You guys should make an UMA game. Think of the possibilities...
That must be the most expensive wedgy in the world, But would also be the best Egg and Soldiers ever!!!
The omelette was VERY good, as were the other dishes as well.
I agree with "The world needs more Canada"
Happy 100!!!!!
PFD = personal flotation device. Good, very good.
Very interesting video,... Thank you, we enjoyed it very much. How much was Dan's meatloaf? Safe Travels.
Even Canada currently needs more Canada.
You guys ROCK!
Loving your series still! But I wanted to let you know, in case you weren't aware, that step 100 is not actually listed in the season 5 playlist. Just noticed it as I was binging and wanted to give you a heads up.
Went Hato cave but it is nothing compared to Harrison cave in Barbados. You all missed out since you didn't stop in Barbados 🤗
XMAS ahead of time :)
Congratulations on Step 100! I was hoping this episode would have some information about the knock down you mentioned on Facebook. How far behind are the videos?

so cool guys !!!
I guess your mom has watch the movie What about Bob! We heard her say "I Sail". Lol
...la mamma è sempre la mamma ♥️♥️♥️
The burger place reminds me of Which Wich Sandwich Shop
So, reinstalling the bow seat and related lights following the smash...any word :)
I for one am still curious about your composting commode situation.
Why not more batteries...can you every have too many?
AWESOME ~~~ Play on ~~
So happy I found this in my suggestion box but didn't get it in the season lineup. Very odd. I blame the smile face in the title. Only thing I can think of messing it up for me.
What was that small boat they rented called, at the end of the video?
Riding an Ostrich; How FOWL ;P
Anyone else notice the sign in the background at 3:05 that has the name as Step 97?
HA wow... I never even noticed it until you said it! 😂
Till when are you Guy's staying in curacao?
Staying for New years eve?
So you make Omelett from Chicken! That is a bit different but interesting :D
Great I got my UMA sticker for my boom
YAY!!!!
Kikas part of the family awe
Almost missed this video as it seems not listed in binge watch playlist...
Uma stickers make good Christmas Stocking Stuffers?????
Are the life jackets Crewsaver Ergofit?
Yup! They're awesome!!! But you can't get them in the US. So we ordered them from Britain. Arguably every bit as good as StaLok but half the price.
I’m guessing you meant SpinLok. Which one did you get and was price the deciding factor or something else?
Nice drone shot! who did those or do you got a drone now? PS i earned a sticker when you went live at the burger bar live feed. We needed to guess the name of something
+Rombout Versluijs send us a personal message, we can talk about the sticker.
Just wanted to say thanks. Keep up the great work. I think this is the first time I noticed drone footage. Did the small boat rental folks provide the drone or is it a new addition for Uma Nation?
Nope. Just found a friend with one who didn’t mind doing some filming in return for a few beers.
A yes, beer, the internationally recognized currency for labor and expertise.
Thanks to the ostrich ride I learned a new word. :) And thanks to UrbanDictionary.com too!
OMG riding that dinosaur !
Also ostrich meat taste very very close to horse meat, only slightly gamier.
Good to know! I was very surprised it was "red" meat and not just a giant chicken.
Birds are actually the modern-day remnants of dinosaurs. So, Kika, you didn't just ride an ostrich. You rode a dinosaur!
Ostrich, looks like Christmass dinner.
Ivansgarage you would need one big oven for that bird

thumbs up for moms
How did you two meet?
Could you please tell me the manufacturer of that small sailboat that you rented ?
its a centaur :)
You two seem to have quite the passion for spelunking; is that something that you picked up in Canada?
