Wow! This is an amazing tree. One of my very first bonsai was a Serissa tree over 15 years ago. Very refreshing to see such an amazing specimen in this video!
Your Serissa looks wonderfull, for shure it’s show worthy tree 💚, and this moss work is fantastic! One thing that is bothering me is tat your stones are equally spaced, that looks artifitial. Try taking out closest to viewer and furthest, or just one on the far left, it shoud help. I keep my fingers crossed for the show ^^
Amazing tree & landscape! I can not get enough of your serissa. Looks wonderfull. And Jonesy the kitten - so good that he is happy indoors. All the best to your family and all your pets from Polish fan! ❤
An extremely small scale succulent would be thematically correct, coming in a variety of shapes, colors, and textures. You really changed the scale dramatically with the zebra figurine! Great job breaking up the moss carpet. Another scale jump! The tree continues to be amazing. I still think my absolutely favorite view is looking up through the structural branches from below. Any chance you could make THAT the front?😅
I'm not getting into that species... We call it snow rose.... Beautiful display, beautiful tree, brilliant work... One day I'll be able to display, so until that day comes I'll keep learning and growing🎉🎉🎉
I love this tree. I am amazed how much it has evolved from when it was much much smaller! It looks stunning. I like the simplicity of the zebra by itself on the accent, but that is just my opinion haha.
That is a lot of work that went into this landscape. Looking good. This tree is one of my favorites. When you write your book. This tree has to be the front cover of the book. Will you be selling autographed copies?
We had 39 degrees F here a few days...I've started the Bonsai shuffle...when the sun comes out and it warms up above 50F, tropicals go outside....they go back indoors in the evening..
@dkstott29. I'm a beginner with plants and gardening. I was just wondering if the changing of temps everyday by going outside and inside can actually be detrimental for plants?
Hi Nigel! I remember there being a thorough explanation on how to successfully overwinter the tropicals. What was the safe temperature and watering necessities?
I did a Experiment On apple trees seeds when growing them I made a tea out of dead leaves of other tree and pine needles and some other types tree leaves and some other ingredients and only gave it to one of them wish I could show you the awesome results.
Serissas seem to be very temperamental. Do you worry about changing the location for the show and how the difference in temperature, lighting, showroom environment can affect the serissa?
I don’t think this tree needs the zebra - it only detracts from its perfection. On the accent it looks ok, but not on the actual tree - just my opinion.
Crazy how much prep it takes. The end result though. Worth every tuft of moss pulled out!
What a wonderful show tree Nigel. I’ve known it for many years now. I agree it looks the best it can look, which is pretty damned good.

Awesome, if you follow the playlist for this tree, you can see how quickly it developed over the last 10 years!! Good luck with yours!!!
Congratulations to Best Tropical at the Toronto Bonsai Society 60th anniversary exhibition!
Thanks Kale, I think I'm still in shock!!!!
This plant is truly a miracle.
Every plant is but your work is admirable.😅😊
The tree looked great at the show, Nigel. Congrats on the win. Well deserved.
Thanks Norman!!!!
Kittens are fun and love to be with you. You have a friend indeed.
I like the grey stones better for contrast. Great tree. I can’t seem to grow Serissa
It might be too imperfect or messy, but I quite like the white flowers on the ground
You’re a real artist with your moss canvass, tweezers, sand, stones and zebra! 🪴🪴🦓
Beautiful tree! It's one of my favorites 😍
Thanks so much Kathy!!!

I think a video is like a show too 🎬🌳

Spectacular!!! Thanks, keep growing
That tree will be the star of the show. Awesome job nigel 👏
Cold comes fast in the North 40 out by you. Hope you get them all in the greenhouse in time.
The cold weather is here Tom, all the trees are safety put away!!
Perfect tree❤❤❤
Well done, looks excellent.

meravigliosa
Wow I just bought a Serissa online at Etsy 3 hours ago and I came across this video just now. Now I can learn what to do with it.😊
Check out the playlist for this tree, it's in the description. I think there are about 40 videos of this tree!!!
This tree is so so nice

Love the Serrisa....Any one of your mini bonsai would work as an accent plant...❤❤
Good Luck😍🌳
those moss details are on another level .. 🤯 really mind-blowing how much tlc goes into it. ☀️🤩☀️
Thank you so much!!!
💜💜
Hi Nigel it’s a big job prepping the serisa and tree look fantastic with thousand flowers ❤❤❤
Wow. The combo looks stunning.❤
always gotta floss!
I love this tree! One of your many gems! I have uploaded another ODE to 7. I hope you enjoy it.
I'll check it out!
Tough choice for the accent plant in the moss. What about one of your mini's in the moss? Just a thought.
you can totally add a little red soil to the accent plant (like a small patch). and a tiny rock besides the zebra.
Thanks, I have lots of ideas to try with this landscape!!!
Maravilloso ❤

Lol, thanks Tom!!
Enjoy the show 😊

It varies a lot from tree to tree, each tree has certain requirements, from very sensitive to cold to very hardy. Sometimes I've learned the hard way!
👍👌👌
That moss swallowed up that sand quickly!!!

Very cool, thanks!!!
@@TheBonsaiZone your very welcome
We are getting down to 30 next week... seems like buds were just populist week

It doesn't seem to affect the tree, even being inside for three days in low light. Generally I've never had a problem with leaf drop!!
Thanks!
Might think about adding grass to the accent.
Jones sounds like a wonderful feline
