Man I've played almost no Dreamcast games, but many of these games remind me of PC games around the same time. Super nostalgic aesthetic.
You should those are some of the best games to play with friends like Toy Racer as well.
Well, it's because it is compatible with Windows CE, an mobile operating system (OS for short).
You have to try a dreamcast at least once. You'll never want to put the controller down lol. Toy commander and soul calibur are my favourite games for the system.

Actually I think a fair amount of Dreamcast games were available on PC at the time, in fact a fair amount of DC games were poets of the PC versions. Sega GT, Omikron, Re-Volt, Test Drive 6, V-Rally 2.
Of course you had some oddballs too. Killer Loop was rebranded as MagForce, the sequel to POD was a Dreamcast exclusive, and Metropolis Street Racer, which lived on after the Dreamcast to become Project Gotham Racing

They are good but what you're watching here is a recording of the pc emulating the dreamcast and the resolution has been massively increased. It doesn't give a true image of what the games are really like.
Just do what they did with Cel Damage and just make it sharper

@@danielalejandro6335 it does but it's annoying that the compilers of these vids take the easy way out grabbing emu footage. Worst examples are the PS1 games that are shown at 1080p instead of a v chunky 240p they were on the real machine.

San Francisco Rush 2049 was one of my favorite games on the DC, I spent so many hours on that game such good times.
Speed Devils from Ubisoft is my dreamcast racing favorite game. 1999 Lunch Game, I played it early 2001. Short, but very good. The grandfather of action arcade racing games in my opinion.
All these games look and feel like arcade machine games,i love that

Yup, in my opinion, the best racing game on the Dreamcast.
I may have played it on the Gamecube, but 18 Wheeler was such a fun game

Facts
Test Drive Le Mans, Metropolis Street Racer, and Toyko Xtreme Racer were 3 of my favorites back when I first got the Dreamcast. Hydro Thunder was awesome as well. Sega GT had pretty good graphics but was a little disappointing as a Gran Turismo competitor. I really have to spend some more time with all the F1 games on the Dreamcast, I remember playing a couple of them and quite enjoying at least one of them, but figured out which one I liked the best.
Metropolis street racing is one of the most enjoyable racing games I've ever played. I still remember the feeling almost as if I were actually racing in London, Tokyo and San Francisco, while listening to the game's radios. Really very relaxing and immersive game.
Monaco GP was released in 1999 in Europe. There is also a Monaco Online, which was released in Europe in 2001.

That's because the motocross game is a straight port of the PS1 version. A lot of Dreamcast games, in fact, are straight ports of PS1/N64 versions and usually provide little to no graphical improvement whatsoever.
That's false.
Look at Rayman 2 for example, the Dreamcast version is heralded as the best version of the game to this day.
And many 5th gen games got the same treatment, like Legacy of Kain Soul Reaver, and how it's night and day over the PS version.
The ones that had no visual or performance upgrades were few and far between.
@@BlueEyedVibeChecker Test Drive: V-Rally was also a huge improvement on Dreamcast as well. You not only had better car models and environments, but the Dreamcast came with an exclusive cockpit view mode with a fully modelled interior, and it ran at 60 FPS and supported widescreen. What impressed me the most was that dirt would even accumulate on your car as you drive!
I still have a few of those games, MSR was one I played a lot along with vanishing point, the car models looked great in that. Also Tokyo extreme racer was good also.

Dreamcast tem mais jogos de corrida do que eu pensava, os melhores para mim são o SEGA GT, Le Mans 24H, Metropolis Street Racers, Vanishing Point, e V-Rally, vou tentar joga-los no emulador de PC, espero que rodem bem, nunca usei o emulador de Dreamcast. Bom trabalho melhor canal! E bom saber que é um canal BR com toda essa qualidade, eu até tentei fazer um, durou um tempo, mas hoje em dia eu uso como uma conta pessoal mesmo (ja até mudei a foto para o escudo do meu time do coração kkkk) mas os videos ainda estão ai, foram poucas gameplays de Gran Turismo 1 e 2, umas de Need for Speed Carbon, e umas de F.E.A.R, meu vídeo com mais views foi um de como colocar o F.E.A.R em widescreen, ja que não há esssa opção no menu. Mas vi que era muito e trabalho e acabei abandonando, mas sigo planejando continua-lo, admiro a sua dedicação!

A maioria nós mesmos que capturamos, no hardware real (em vários casos), ou em emulador, e outras nós pegamos na net mesmo.
@@VirtualGamingLibrary Queria também deixar uma sugestão, sei que estão com o maior projeto em andamento, o das letras do PS2, mas quando possivel, gostaria de um video com jogos de PC, mas dai não seriam todos, teria que achar algum jeito se escolher eles, seja por nota, ou por popularidade, e fazer um video para cada década, por exemplo: "Best PC games 1990 to 2000" e colocar os principais jogos de cada década, pelo menos de 90 a 2000 e 2000 a 2010 que para mim foram as melhores! Abraço
Sim, claro, nós tínhamos um vídeo desses em nosso canal antigo, era os 100 melhores jogos de PC dos anos 90, mas é bem provavel que faremos os próximos vídeos de organizados por ano (ou década), ou popularidade sim. Valeu pela sugestão amigo! :)

Some games running at 60 fps, Dreamcast was ahead of anything
60fps wasn't made a standard with the dreamcast lol. The 5th and 7th gen consoles are the only ones were it was relatively uncommon. Even then the Saturn and Wii had plenty of games that ran at 60FPS.

The dreamcast. The mother of Racing games. Tokyo highway challenge 2, f355, Daytona 2001, rush 2049 and msr to this day I consider among the best and most fun Racing games of all time. They still are?

I remember MSR! Got it Christmas 98 or 99. I remember us being like "wow it's almost like real life!" 🤣. I guess compared to SEGA Rally etc. on the Saturn, it really did feel like a huge step up at the time.

Racing boats do have gears and transmissions. Rarely is a boat prop connected directly to the engine. Even non racing boats have transmissions but don't necessarily have gears you can shift. Just for adjusting the output ratio
@@AtariBorn I may have been thinking of regular speedboats. I was aware of the boats that have throttle and speed control. I just didn't know that some have transmissions like cars.
@@silhouettoofaman2935 If you think about it, direct drive from the engine would only let your prop turn as many rotations per minute as your engine could turn. Adding gears between the engine and the prop would have the same effect in a boat as you would in a car, high gears for acceleration and lower gears for speed, after an optimal speed was achieved. I'm sure this would also prevent damage to the engine, having a relatively inexpensive linkage between the prop and engine, should the prop hit something or get snagged.

Dreamcast has more exclusives than Xbox One, and yet it was the one that met an early end? I really hope Microsoft will step it up soon, or they may suffer the same fate as well!
Lucky for Microsoft they have a few more coppers in the bank than Sega had back then. They kicked themselves in the teeth with their original announcement of not be able to swap games etc and were on the back foot ever since. They’ve been buying up a lot of devs recently in preparation for the next gen. they certainly need to be on top form as Sony has been killing it with exclusives this gen.
Cup head,gears of war,rare replay,sunset overdrive,forza and halo is not xbox exclusive?
@@Izhen_UwU Cup Head is on the Switch. Halo, Sunset Overdrive and Forza are on the PC. Gears of War games on Xbox One suck compared to last gen and Rare Replay is a collection of old games you can also play on classic systems. If you don't have an actual exclusive that's worth buying a console for, then what's the point?
May I remind you that Sega, like Microsoft, also had a habit of porting their big exclusives to PC? Sega GT, Sega Rally, Crazy Taxi, honestly Sonic is the only notable Dreamcast exclusive that wasn’t on PC. Why buy the console then? Because it’s cheaper than a PC. Both Sega and Microsoft employed the strategy of targeting both audiences without making them buy new hardware they couldn’t afford, and in fact many people wish Sony also did this
I just want to say that my mindset towards Microsoft is different now compared to what it was back when I posted those comments. I've actually been using the Xbox Series X more than the PS5, as this generation makes it seem like Microsoft is the lesser evil of the two. Also, my stance towards exclusives has also changed, because as a 90s kid who grew up as a PC gamer, I've actually become more accustom to having the games I like on PC. Which even Sony has been doing lately, and I'm quite pleased that more companies are openly supporting the PC scene, except for the whole integration of third party clients when using Steam, which is why I prefer to get the games DRM free when I can.

i need help finding the name of a dreamcast game from my childhood. i dont remember if it had a normal racing mode but i always played this mode where you had to run these stunt trial things where it gave you a % grade based on time and objectives. i remember the first level you accelerated into a circular area, curved around 180 degrees, then ramped off a canted incline to do a barrel roll. if i remember correctly the name of the level was literally called barrel roll. another level had a track you had to run slowly with lots of sharp turns, but the area outside the track was turned red and if you touched it you failed. help!!

This racing game is very underrated. It was hit hard because of it's physic's (actually realistic) steering delayed bodyroll. But, that Stunt Mode and the many other unlockables really gave this game great replayability.

I see I'm not the only one with stuttering hiccups with certain games using the demul emulator. I hope they'll continue updating it or someone is able to make a better emulator!

@@dakyorlando Redream is definitely a far more competent Dreamcast emulator, that has come a fair way over the years! That's why I'm sticking with that over demul any day. But thanks for the information, even if I already knew about it at this point.

If it's a homebrew Dreamcast game, none of them count on these Dreamcast lists as they were made after the lifespan of the console ended for good.

It's under T as it was Test Drive: V Rally in the US. Monaco Grand Prix is there at 3:25ish, however the online re-release isn't (unlike Speed Devils). Arcade Racing Legends needs adding now too, but I'll let them off as it only came out late last year :D

So back in the day i was impressed by sega gt , tokyo racer games , sega rally . Where is ferrari 355 ? It looked great . Daytona looked good . Vanishing point was not too bad to look at either . The rest look like dogshit by comparison . Only wacky races is exempt as it was its own fun thing and i liked it

You can play TXR zero on playstation 2... it's the enhanced version of TXR2 and is the best game in the series.

No, we would have a monopoly of Nintendo. What you should instead imagine is if Microsoft bought Sega (something they were seriously considering at one point) and then Halo would be a Sega exclusive

These games are 2000, 2001 but the graphics like 1994, 1995 ps1 games. Looks like dreamcast was really unnecessary console only for sega fans.

Vanishing Point is my fav DC racing games. The graphic+control are awesome, realistic, the AI are challenging, the level are very good.
I love how Vanishing Point presents the idea that your only enemy is the clock. In my opinion the Trackmania games have always made it pretentious and a lot of racing games don’t have satisfying time trials. Vanishing Point is one of the few games I think that really captures the true spirit of racing against not other cars, but a clock

I believe Bizarre Creations perfected its formula with PGR + All these tasty car-licenses they suddenly could afford due to Microsoft's deep pockets.
My favorite DC racing games..Crazy Taxi,Metropolis street racer and Speed devils.This games were released twenty years ago and they still look nice(lots of color,many running at 60fps,great memorably soundtracks,easy to play).Dreamcast and Sega were great back then(tons of diferent style games releasing year after year).
