Stoner is one of the best riders ever in the MotoGP history in terms of pure talent.

15 years later and I still get a tear in my eye watching Casey cross that finishing line. Just as happy for Capirossi finishing second, always rooted for him as well.
One of the quickest ever racer who raced in MotoGP. No doubt about that. Shame, he had to cut his career so early, eventhough he was at his prime. 😞

Like all of CS27 wins at PI. I was there. Hope to be back some time soon - it’s always a hoot camping on the go kart track, you never sleep because of the morons, but it still fun.

if people know what happen to Stoner since he was kid that make him as who he is, public motogp shall have not been underapreciated him. he is pure talent that motogp ever had but he race under hegemony of VR46 where VR46 is the only spotlight so yeah not everyone appreciate his talent until VR46 go to ducati and nothing special happened, while stoner become world champion again with honda. even after retirement, ducati become better when stoner come back to their paddock as test rider. he is great rider and people knew it, even it takes years to acknowledge his legacy.
ah ya, pls do not forget, he is the king of 800 cc era. he won in 800 cc era more than anyone, even rossi, lorenzo, and pedrosa.
good point. until now Motogp is keeping Rossi even haven't won a title since 2009. Lorenzo and Stoner beat Rossi since they arrived at motogp! Since the 2 arrived Rossi only won 1 while Stoner won 2 and Lorenzo won 3. But Rossi fans cannot accept the fact!!!!

He retired due to suffering from chronic fatigue syndrome. Pretty sure he would have kept racing if his health was not compromised.

interesting fact about Stoner.. From 2010 up 'till now, Stoner has more wins than Rossi. In this 11 years, Stoner is retired for 9 of them.

in fact St0n3r can won in Duc4t1 with only a screamer engine in 2007 ,until now there is no rider who can win with a big bang engine even st0ner himself even dovizioso, ianone, lorenzo, peco, petruci, miller have not been able to win with a big bang machine, stoner is very lucky to got benefit from a screamer machine, because screamer engine is faster and more stable, Ducati does not use a screamer engine because the development costs of the machine are very expensive lmao

It's a pitty such good racer permitted his ego was upper than his capability, speaking up by him, abandoning the year season after the death of the italian racer (I forgot his name) in the racing, if new safety rules were not implemented. He wasn't listen, lost his career and when attempted returning, he was fired, no room.

I think Marc was already a target for Honda or Repsol. His Moto 2 team was sponsored by Repsol. And I saw him with Stoner, Pedrosa and Dovizioso in a video in 2011. Here.
