Rode 1300 MILES On OUTDATED HARLEY Davidson ELECTRAGLIDE / STAYING With STRANGERS FIVE DIRTY BIKERS

- We rode over 1300 miles in a weekend on my 1998 Harley Davidson Electra Glide. It was a ride to Louisville Kentucky to meet up and ride with some friends from the Five Dirty Bikers podcast. While along the way on the old "outdated" Harley Davidson Electraglide, we stopped to stay the night at a strangers place whom we've never met. First time for everything on an old Harley Davidson. While at the Five Dirty Bikers FDBM, we got to see some familiar faces such as Weems Motor Co. from Tampa, Florida; a friend that we met the last time on the way to Tampa... Some people act like the 107 is too slow. And you need the 114 to keep up... Acting like twincams evo's iron's etc ride backwards when you pull the throttle.
You show them what riding is about.
shoulda bought that shovel a while back, then you would have a real outdated harley hahahaha, wife and I did sturgis this year on a 82 flhs, 3,300 mile trip.
I have a 93 FLHS, I still love it.
i must be getting old, but kinda' nice watching m/c vids without big guitar power chord/thrash music backing track, nice one saddle tramp.

It's a shame that Triumph chopper goes to a museum....needs to be rode...I would keep those bearings hot.........Hey Tramp that new garage looks great.
One mans outdated Harley is another mans fast modern reliable Harley... I have 2 shovels (which are 55mph bikes) and am thinking about adding an Evo to the stable for going 70mph on the highway and to have a more reliable primary chain (my shovels are both Sturgis's with a primary belt)
My FXR Shovel was good for 70-80 mph all day long.
my 1982 shovel will cruise 85 all day no problems, the hell kind of shovel you riding lol
@@jasonwooton4392 probanly my compassion for the meachanics, and I want to have mine for another 30 years and dont care about speed or power.
@@bmp72 ill have mine for 30 years and still be going 85 no problem, but hey if you like cruising reaaal slow, enjoy yerself bud cheers.
@@GodInTheMachine well I know of a guy trying to loosen the crank nut but turning it the wrong way, and so snapping a primary belt in half (no it was not me 😁). My 81 Sturgis still has a factory primary belt on it, I'm a bit carefull not to load it too much...

I've been riding my 96 FXSTC cross country for the last 25 years, it became an antique this year, just like me.....I never put it up and I have several hundred thousand miles on it. I'll never get rid of it, although wish it had an easy pull clutch.
I think this is a great ad for Bunk A Biker! The biker community is the best. Everyone always willing to help one another out like old friends.

You just passed through my town two days ago. I live just outside of Huntsville in a place called hazel-green if you're ever in Hazel Green I can set you up either out the yard in a tent or until I get a roommate in the spare bedroom.
Just bought a 02 Electra glide classic about 3 weeks ago. I like it. Bought hoping wife could get back on a bike after our accident year and a half ago. She likes it but doing baby steps. Wish I did it yrs ago, buying a Harley that is. Keep knees in the breeze and rubber on the pavement

Took my 91 ultra from PA to Utah 3 years ago .only had to buy a new battery and re tighten the shifter .🤣👍

Looks like a nice ride was had by all. I’ve used the bunk a biker a couple times. Had great host both times.
No such thing as an outdated harley, theres useless ones. The twin cams. Evo is best they made, owned every one but a knuckle. My Bruthas all concur

Was just about to say the same thing. Though I do ride a twin cam that sits next to the Evo.

Looks like a great ride going to lake George ny for hour anniversary from ct nice time of year for it
I was supposed to be going to lake George. But downstate where I live was flooded including my place. 5ft of water in the basement and lost everything so I’m staying home and dealing with insurance and contractors.
Hell of a trip my man. I'm going to take my 1985 Wing on some sort of trip here in the next couple months. Got some work to do to it before I'm ready for that but I'm excited to keep these bikes on the road.

I used to live right near Torrington CT, where they used to make Torrington Berrings. Now I live near Cleveland and down the road they make Timken Berrings. When I went to College at Central CT State University, that was right near the Fafnir Bearing plant and they were sold to Textron, who sold Fafnir to Torrington Berrings... So much for the Kugellagers....

Looks like my ol shovel going to be down for awhile.....took the Heads, Jugs, Pistons to a Shop going to go get them Friday 24. Said needed to replace Heads and Pistons as rust on them?? anyway love to see the Shop. Hey you got heat/ac in it.

I can see there being rust on the cylinders, but the heads and pistons are aluminum.

Freezer isn't a cow, he's a Steer (Boy Bovine with no nuts) or some would call him a "Beefer." I guess I did grow up on a small hobby farm. My Grandfather and G. Grandfather were both Cattle buyers and farmers. My Dad was a meat cutter.
