I remember just over ten years ago I did this for the first time solo. Couldn’t get the idea out of my head so abruptly packed a bag and went on a warm Friday morning. I’m so grateful I did as it started a love for those rugged Snowdonia mountains in particular scrambling etc. I’ve never looked back. Great video as always, Daniel 🤙🏻🏴

Some excellent footage. Appreciate the effort you put into your videos, Daniel. They surely deserve more views. May I suggest inserting *Crib Goch* into the title? It might help this reach a wider audience and gain more subscribers for the channel? Thanks again 👍
Thanks, I've got a couple of other vids with Crib Goch in the title and they get very few views so I'll leave this one as is for a bit and maybe see how it goes, I can always tweak the title in the future. I should probably do a dedicated Crib Goch vid with the drone, I'll be back up there in the summer so maybe then. All the best.

This is the best way. Avoids Llanberis, Pyg Track, Watkins and Snowden Ranger - pretty much all terminally tedious. I like to cool my feet off in the lake before returning to the car. Another interesting fact is that the Pen y Pass car park is actually free. All you get is a sticker saying can you please pay within the month and then nothing after! I had this out with someone who claimed paying helped out maintenance of paths etc and i should contribue on that basis, which is bullshit - just a cowboy car park firm. I lived in Gwynedd at the time and i'm not paying council tax and an extortionate car park fee. All day (which you would need for the Horseshoe) was a tenner back then (5 years). Dread to think what it is now. Other car parks eg Snowden Ranger are also free - it pays to read and understand all small print. That said, parking on the roadside with no parking signs/double yellow lines will incur a ticket/towing.
It’s a great route but saying it’s the best route Is just your personal preference. I love it but tryfan and glyder circular down into devils kitchen is pretty special too and there’s plenty more.
Yup, agree 100%. I've blatently put the word "best" in there because lots of ppl search for that word and I'm curious to see if TH-cam shows this prominantly and how many clicks it gets over time + it is my favourite route (at least when it's not heaving with ppl!).
If it gets more views then fair play! Double edged sword though. You show everyone this special place and it only gets busier 😂🤦🏻♂️ Great video by the way 👍🏻
