I am going to disagree with you all. If you check you history book it has been many time that we as black people have had successful community and business. Such as rosewood and black wall street and in Wilmington North Carolina. There were community were black people were thriving and white people got upset and destroyed those community. Each one of those communities black people were lynched.
I agree with your argument in principle javaris hammond. Your accuracy from an historical perspective is without question, based on factual evidence. He's not getting it because he still lives in this bubble of human decency where everyone has the right to vote based on the constitution. What he isn't getting is that though we have the right to vote, we are now having to jump through so many hurdles just to get that voting paper. He hasn't been affected by a failed form or lost ballot.

Kirk Wood you're right on point, Kanye didn't say anything that half the Black people are not talking about already and have been for a long time when he talked about doing for ourselves. It serves no good purpose to go to the White House to talk to the president or even the mainstream media about what we Blacks need to do for ourselves within our community because that's a discussion to be had among ourselves. If you get a seat at the table with the president the point is to get answers on what is he going to do for us and tell him what it is that we demand and not allow yourself to be used to his advantage to boost his ratings regardless of who is the president.
