  • Here on this channel, we want to share everything from the garden and pasture to the farmhouse and kitchen. Join us on our journey that connects the past, present, and future of our family. We're taking steps to move back to our 6th generation family farm and continuing our multi-generational homesteading way of life.
I'm Megan, wife, mother, farmer's daughter, and nurse. I grew up on this beautiful farm nestled in the heart of the Appalachian mountains. Today we raise mostly cattle, about 150 head. We also have 20 plus sheep, pigs, 20 plus goats, lots of chickens, guineas, ducks, geese, swans, and a few horses and donkeys.
Together with my husband, two sweet girls, my dad, and my sister’s little family, we’re continuing a legacy of multigenerational farming. Here on our channel, we want to share tried and true farming and gardening techniques. As well as, newer sustainable farming and gardening practices. We'll take you along as we live everyday life on the farm, the journey of building our forever home, homemaking on the farm, and from scratch homegrown meals.
Thanks for watching and don't forget to consider hitting the subscribe button - I make a new video on homesteading, homemaking, and home cooking each week.

When you mentioned your daughters name, I thought about the song "Hey little 'Liza, little 'Liza Jane..."

I enjoyed your video! We live on a family farm also and really enjoy this life. It's so exciting to see other folks doing the same. Best of luck to you and I'm looking forward to seeing all you do!. We use the cardboard/compost anytime we want to have a new growing area. It really works!!

Thank you, Sharon! The cardboard/compost method is the way to go for sure! I have super happy tomato plants this year.
