My name is Megan and I am the fifth generation to have been raised on our family farm in the heart of the Appalachian Mountains. I love the feeling and lifestyle of old-fashioned and traditional living. It is my greatest hope to create a slow and simple life that honors our heritage and bridges the divide of generations to keep those cherished memories alive while making new ones. I find it ironic that you speak about using what you've grown yet you had ripe tomatoes but opened a can.
I used some of my tomatoes as well…just staying transparent
We have a 900 square ft greenhouse and outside garden beds and still buy vegetables from the store at times. In fact o get that same tomato sauce she had but yet have some homeade frozen. Sometimes a certain veggie grows well one year and the next it doesn’t. You do what you can with what you get and sometimes have to supplement. Sometimes you don’t have time to get everything put up to preserve too. 😊
