  • My new Tru Spec Pro Flex 24-7 Pants have just bumped my Xpedition tactical pants from the top of my list. The Pro Flex design fixed a couple of my issues with the Xpedition while keeping enough flex to stay comfortable. These are great all-around pants for any season.

    As an MMA Instructor I cant stress enough how well... whether you know the ground game or not...95% of all street fights end up on the ground and padded knees and elbows are a lifesaver on any outside hard surface!!! Maybe some of you who have been rashed up pretty bad can relate.

    Great video! Bryan, you're very much appreciated and I'll have to do do some online shopping. Have a great weekend and thanks for the review on pants.

    Ive got both tru-spec and propper..one kind I like from propper is how they have an open pocket in the back thats pretty much unnoticeable but they have a small arms pocket. They stretch as well. So I like both...they both stretch well I love deep pockets but I am a big fan of those extra little unnoticeable pockets on my propper and love the small arms rear pocket where your wide loop is in the back and propper has all wide loops on the ones I get yet still has that hidden arms pocket. It goes behind the back loop and is sweet but its apples and oranges...I like both brands
    ..Im also a big fan of padded knees and elbows on shirts that are unnoticeable in case of a scuffle on any kind of concrete or asphalt those padded knees and elbows are a lifesaver.

    Unfortunately I have been diagnosed with the condition called (noassatall) and looks these pants could help with that. Nice tactical truspecs Thank you for the great review on them.

    In school I used to try and make padded parts in the butt area so paddling wouldn't sting as bad. Lol thanks for the video.

    Nice. I like the minimal stretch panels with most of it being rip-stop. I'm tired of pulling thorns and burrs off my pants (not Tru-Spec) which have a lot more/bigger stretchy panels on them. But, my Carhartt pants don't stretch at all. I'll have to track some of these down to try. Thanks, Bryan!

    Cool pants! I have been using the LA Police Gear Atlas Operator pants with the same type of stretch panels. They are sort of a cross between the Pro Flex 24-7 and the 5.11 tactical pants at around half the price. I have 3 pair that are about 3 years old. I wear them for work as a maintenance tech and they have little wear. Great review!

    So the last few pairs of 24/7 pants that I have purchased the sewing has been horrible, loose threads everywhere...😥 I have to spend 20 minutes with a Bic to clean them up....

    how are these for “bagginess” versus the ascent ?

  • @mongojenkins121
    @mongojenkins121 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    @survivalonpurpose. Can you do a follow up showing how the "stretchy" panels hold up ? I've had other brands and that material does hold up well. It ends up with little fuzzy lint balls.

    • @SurvivalOnPurpose
      @SurvivalOnPurpose  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      I will do a follow up on these but I did a follow up on the Xpedition pants, which have a lot more of the flex fabric and they are fine. Search for Tru Spec on my channel and you'll see it.

    Good review, but the Ascent pants are my EDW’s. I have a pair in each of the six colors.👍🏻

    Brian, do you prefer the Pro Flex or the Ascent better? I am undecided between the two what are your thoughts on both?

    • @SurvivalOnPurpose
      @SurvivalOnPurpose  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I have gone back and forth between the two as to which I like better. I think I have finally landed on the Ascent. They are just more comfortable overall and I don’t like the stacked front pockets on the Pro Flex.

      @@SurvivalOnPurpose Thanks! The pockets were one reason I was leaning towards the Ascents. I have the Ascent shorts and they are great.

    Won't work for me. I need the pockets forward. Pockets toward the side allow things to shift and settle under the legs when sitting.

    I could not wear those to work... in an office environment, where I need to tuck in a shirt. Not saying they aren't good pants, just not office friendly.
