Great review! Yeah, I have the aputure strip box and upon first assembly I knew I was going to have to keep them assembled for local shoots. This strip box sounds legit!
I owned two Godox soft boxes and I've almost torn the fabric getting the rods inside. In fact, they were such a b*tch to put together, I just left them assembled. Unfortunately, leaving them assembled takes up a great deal of space. The quick-release on the SmallRig soft boxes are a MUST!
I bought the strip box after this review. Sent it back same day. ( today) When I took it out of the box the material was pulling out from under the ring that holds it. It took me a good 20-30 minutes to take it apart and get it back together right. I tightened the screws as tight as they could go without stripping. When I got it all assembled again the material pulled out a second time. I would not recommend these to anyone. Very poor design and the material should have had something more to be punched by the assembly ring it mounts under.

Thanks Michael for the info. I own and use the Smallrig 0ctagon quickfold D55 and also reckon quickfold is the ONLY way to go.
Absolutely!
Hello! Smallrig strip comes with grid?

Yeah leaving light boxes assembled is not ideal
You should have spin the 6090 90 degrees to get softer light as a keylight
where are yu from
Too bad that the speed rings are not swapable. I have Alienbees, Norman and Photogenic Strobes all with non-Bowen mounts !
you can get adapters for them, I believe the Alienbees need a balcar to bowens adapter
