    Great video production! I own a Godox and my wife hate that it takes all of our small apartment space lol. This video for surely confirmed that I'm getting the smallrig right now. Thank you.

      That's great to hear 00:01am 🙌 the Godox did me good for a bit, but I love the flexibility of the smallrig. Thanks for checking out the video. Will you be going with the RA - D55 or the RA - D85?

    Sold on Smallrig! There seems to be a ton of these style softboxes on the market and its hard to nail down what was the difference in price to what you get. That setup time alone looks a faff, and I've heard someone else praise the end-opening style bags to be much better than a zipper that runs lengthways.

      You are correct Chris. I seen a few other manufacturers making similar options. I went with smallrig since I have a number of other pieces for my camera gear that I was happy with the quality, so I based my decision off of that. I wasn't disappointed. Set up & take down times are my number one reason for buying. Love that the zipper is at the top of bag. Wish my tripod bag had it, but it has the zipper that runs lengthways like you mentioned. Thanks for watching!

    Thanks for the comparison! I have a cheap Neewer, I had heard it was annoying to setup, but I didn't listen and now it's just gathering dust since it's such a pain 😆
    Gonna get the Smallrig real soon!

    Nice video man! Question: Which softbox size would you say is more versatile? 120cm or 85cm for the little extra cost I was leaning towards to Smallrig 120cm. Thanks!

    • @Passion_Video_and_Photo
      @Passion_Video_and_Photo  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      The 120cm would require more space but give a softer source of diffused light compared to the 85cm Michael Hicks. As for being more versatile, it would depend on your shooting environment. If you have the extra space go for the 120cm. Thanks for checking out the video 📹

    Awesome thanks for the review! For light stand, which one do you use? I’m from Canada also, do you have any recommendations on amazon?

      You're welcome Youssef! That's cool you're from Canada too 🇨🇦 I live in Northern Ontario (Sault Ste Marie). I use neweer stainless steel light stands. They go for around 70-80$ on Amazon. They work a lot better than the cheap little black aluminum light stands that I got when I first started. Don't forget to pick up some sandbags too so you can secure your setup from falling. They range in prices and quality, but I paid around 20$ for a (4) pack on Amazon.
      Thx for checking out the video 🤜🤛

    Nice comparison, thanks. Is there a difference in light output or color due the different silver reflecting material?

    • @Passion_Video_and_Photo
      @Passion_Video_and_Photo  7 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Thx, I found that the smallrig one had a more natural look compared to the Godox which had a slight difference in hue, like slightly warmer

      @@Passion_Video_and_Photo Thank for sharing! From the video it also looked a tad different, although I was not sure which one looked more natural.

    Hey mate are the releases metal or coloured plastic on the smallrig? I've seen reviews that the Neewer collapsible version has the releases made of plastic and reportedly break often. Cheers!

    • @Passion_Video_and_Photo
      @Passion_Video_and_Photo  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      The release mechanisms on the Smallrig are made of metal & aluminium. Just noticing this comment now, apologies for the late reply Harrison Bender 😎
