This mod has not just one, two, or even three, but a crazy 6-7 Roman Empires/Claiments! Brittania (claim heritage with the old Roman province), Soxony (descended from the Domain of Soissons), the HRE (naturally), the Southern Roman Empire, Eastern Roman Empire, Dalmatia (claim descent from Julius Nepos fragment of the Roman Empire post fall), and Spania (Not too sure about that one).
Mod looks super dope, wasn't expecting as many unique mechanics as this has. Many alt-history mods do a very unique and detailed map but don't flesh out the mission trees as much but this definitely has.
This mod got one of the most blessed nation ever, Muslim Rome with the sickest leader title ever, "Basileus and Caliph" Edit: Bruh YT really censored me for dispelling some disinformation about Islam, didnt even used any bad words
Honestly, it does makes more sense than a Christian Rome. Islam was as much a religious movement as it was a nation-building movement, with an explicit focus on empowering arabs and making them (theoretically) equals under a supreme ruler, while implicitly allowing for the enslavement of non-arabs/non-muslims. Basically a carbon copy of Roman Imperialism, and more in line with older roman ethics. Christian ethics were a more radical departure.
@@WhenDoesTheVideoActuallyStart I'm sorry but you seem to learn about islam from a bad source, in Islam theres no such thing as one ethnicity being superior to others, everyone is equal under god and law, while the whole enslavement thing is also wrong, if anything its encouraged to free them (but not just straight up free them cause that would be bad for literally everyone involved, especially for the enslaved because thats like yeeting someone without any skills or provisions into the wild and hope for the best)
Doesn't legitimize it to me, in the long run it realistically would be prone to the same problems as rome with it also being very much part of what destroyed Byzantium irl (which was the most legitimate successor state of Rome. even the hre had no actual claim, But even the hre could claim to be a spiritual successor state of Rome while nations such as the ottomans were a non legitimate successor of Byzantium and had no actual claim to rome)
@@christianwhite8877 The Pope was the highest authority for a very long time, and functionally considered the last vestige of Rome in the west, so during the periods when they held his favor if he said they were Rome well they were Rome. Technically speaking you could consider any times the HRE did not hold the Pope's favor as periods in revolt which is also very Roman. The Ottomons functionally had as much claim as anyone else as most actual Roman emperors as they only held claim as they were the warlords who took the throne which would be the same legitimacy as Osman if you considered Rome to still exist as a concept at the time which everyone functionally did as it allowed to bullshit their way into legitimacy and power. It's an exploit, but not one we can honestly dispute in the modern era.
@@christianwhite8877 Also it doesn't really matter what you random person on the internet thinks. Historical emperors did not care what people in the future would think of their legitimacy. They just had to sell it to their subjects

sweben is the state of the tribe of the suebi i would assume. they settled in northern portugal/spain and then were assumilated into the portugese. modern day germany has a region called Schwaben that relates to the suebi as well
You _didnt_ play the tag literally called *the red legion*? Utterly incomprehensible
Caesar's legion mentioned

From what I know about the mod, Spania support’s Soxony’s claim
No Dacian Rome? Fail. 😂
in the future there may even be a Batirsinoo rome
The spanish king (modern times) is a descendant of a roman emperor (forgot which)
@@theknee4105 no homie he inherits the title from the bizantine empire’s fall.
Weird Anbennar mod but ok.
This wished it could hold a candle to Anbennar lol
I’d love to see a part 2 Rome restoration
Southern Rome: What if Lepidus wasn't bullied into obscurity?
