AVE! Have you tried playing Mali? Do you know any other countries with a difficult start? See how I suffer playing HOI4: th-cam.com/video/3gvbeUh6p7k/w-d-xo.html
The most fun way to play Mali in my opinion is to start as Songhai. Songhai has a unique and very nice mission tree that is a lot of fun to complete, you expand in all directions naturally and when you finish the tree you form Kongo and do a majority of the tree for the war score cost vs other religions, only after that do you form Mali. You already have 99% of the tree done by the time you form them and don’t have to deal with any of the rebel issues. After that you can either go into Ethiopia to form Aksum for even more war score cost vs other religions or you go north and form Morocco, Tunis than Egypt. I prefer the first route tho because Morocco and a Tunis mission trees are lacking, I still went north for Malta forts tho and Alhambra as well as Mecca monument. Just by taking diplo ideas and staying mostly in Africa I ended with 5% admin efficiency without counting absolutism and tech, and -75% war score cost reduction. Only thing missing is CCR from Africa but it’s a very fun region
@@ronreeve8400 It's pretty much the same for many countries. Best way to play France is starting as Provence, best way to form Sardinia is with Milan (or Provence...) and Aragon is usually a better PU major than Castile, only to cite a few. For the longest of times Rûm and Ruthenia were also stronger versions of Ottomans and Russia
Such a comment does not bring anything. If it could be done, you'd better explain to me how :) I will be grateful. I know that songhai has Feudalism from the mission, but it is introduced differently.
The empire of Mali was real bro. A lot of Subsaharan Africa only became primative in relative terms in the 1200-1600 period. You can also look at the ancient empire of Axum/Ethiopia for example.

Don't run! They arrived! I retreat! The most realistic eu4 war explanation ever.
I really love Mali campaigns though, they're fun all the way through dealing with tech issues and Europeans after the initial West Africa conquest
It is always a good day when Lookas et bella posts!

Huh? You ought to be able to end the decline by 1455.
Also, songhai gets feudalism for free by mission too
