    Good review, but you didnt mention the favt the dials shapes actually change from diamond to Square as light hits it and its moved. Absolutely astonishing.

    My Mojito arrives next week - can't wait to get a look at "in the flesh" .... my only small worry is I have an 8 inch wrist and it may wear too small.

    I wish they would have made the green version with a gold case. I’ve also seen a salmon version. I personally have the red version.

    Gorgeous beautiful dial …. But originally they came with the 6r35 movement which is much better , they don’t have a sapphire crystal only Softlex , it should have no date … Seiko have gone so overpriced lately 😅 I want the watch but it has so many short comings .. Hamilton give you sapphire for cheaper so do many many other watches including micro brands … Seiko can quite easily put a sapphire for the same price but prefer to screw the customers 🤷🏻 basically you are buying the dial here

    In this price range I'd only accept sapphire and 100m water resistance. Been very close to buying it many times, but know it would be painful not seeing stunning dial because of scratches. Hopefully they'll get it right next time.

    • @ArtyMcMuffin
      @ArtyMcMuffin 11 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      I get the sapphire only but why 100m water resistance on a dress watch? Some Nomos like the Zurich world Time or the Orion have 30m WR and are worth thousands, that's just the staple for dress watches.

    • @gu1111

      Because I'm around water all the time and exclusively wear dress watches, though the whole watch rarely are submerged it's for peace of mind.

      Hamilton watch for daytime, Seiko cocktail time for the evening

  • @84BUrock
    @84BUrock ปีที่แล้ว

    I'm stuck between choosing this against Hamilton Khaki H70455553 with the silver dial. I know they are totally different categories of watches but both are similarly priced with lovely dials which I'm after for my next watch. I wonder if this Seiko can be a strap monster as well. And yes, I agree: why not sapphire at this price range? Or at least 6r35 movement. Come on Seiko!

    • @Tone_SA
      @Tone_SA  ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Personally I would go for the Seiko. The Hamilton is fantastic and all and will definitely have a slightly better movement than the Seiko. But, I usually get bored of plain sunburst dials after awhile. The Seiko gives me something to stare at when I am bored haha.

    • @hrs.ai2018

      For daily wear that hamilton would be more suitable. This seiko is good but only suitable for special event. It would be to flashy to wear it every days

      @@hrs.ai2018 I bought the Seiko; probably the most handsome watch I've ever owned. But ended up selling it exactly because it's too dressy for a daily wear.

      No Seiko watch at this price point has a sapphire crystal. AliExpress watches with claimed Seiko movements are suspect. I’ve had a Turtle for years with no scratches.

  • @wanderer1125
    @wanderer1125 8 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

    The hardlex crystal is a betrayal for the nice size and design of the watch. A deal breaker. Orient bambino is better

    • @Tone_SA
      @Tone_SA  8 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Orient Bambinos are nice too, it's sad that the seiko uses hardlex, but the dial on the seiko is my true drawing factor

    Tone - I may be more likely to sub if future videos pick a different paradigm than Watchfinder's "Talking hands". As interesting as it is, it feels like too much of a lift from the other channel. Not speaking for everyone or even some people, but it's my thinking anyway.
    You're early on. Feel free to play around with different ways of showcasing the hardware, so to speak. Or do as most others do and talk about it face to face with the camera.
    Or keep doing this. I just feel weird seeing a new creator do something that's so close to an established one, wood table, thumbnails, and all.

    • @Tone_SA
      @Tone_SA  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Very good point. I'm also having a thought about that myself recently. Though, as of now, I am not super prepared to show off my face haha.

    • @brrrrr9999
      @brrrrr9999 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Fair. Get creative, see what's easy for you to produce, isn't gimmicky, and attracts an audience. I think you can do a lot of the watch close-ups and stuff without feeling too similar to WF, but you'd need a good substitute for the talking hands.
      Honestly even if it's just white gloves with a chocolate leather surface/backdrop it might be different enough.
