i picked up the gen 1 years back during the yearly sale and use it every day. No desire to upgrade at all. It reminds me of the older netbooks, but it is so much more useful. I considered mac, but most engineering applications are native windows only. Something i do recommend is looking up a guide on how to optimize windows for prioritizing battery life. Windows 10/11 unmodified battery life is horrible on this thing.
Excellent review. Got one of these last week and am very pleased so far. I needed a lightweight and compact laptop for working on field trips and simply love the ThinkPad line, so this was perfect for me. After just under a week, love the keyboard, the weight, and the performance. Great job, Lenovo!
I dont understand the point of these reviews. The price point are similar to a macbook and an apple computer destroys any pc for an average user even for professionals. Unless these are competing at a low price-point like 900 and under….just buy a new macbook air or pro
@@BenGKaiser no they don’t. Some stay with PC because they have been proficient with it and don’t want change. Many PC users I know still end up with the newer MacBooks and run a virtual PC on the side with no lag
@@user-pv9cf4fr6dReminds me of this one dude that was so insistent on using his Mac in an engineering class that used Windows native applications. We were at midterms and he was still trying to make the workaround that is virtualPC work. VirtualPCs are great, the Macbooks are better than this device, but sometimes a person doesn't want to mess around with workarounds and to just be able to install the apps they need natively.
Come on, one hand open is the dumbest "test" are you really still doing it and calling it a test??

Why does bro looked like he travelled from the 80s?
Killer review. Love what you cover and how to the point it was. Exactly the content I would look for in a review of something like this. Keep it up.
Lenovo 😊😮
🔥
Just ordered this for school. Thanks for the review
Damn. Can you help me with student loan please?

A lot of people want windows. They don’t want or can’t use MacOS.

@@BenGKaiser what if someone likes MacOS also, would you recommend this or macbook air for general web surfing and photo editing?

Don't care for Apple products.
