It's just a piece of aluminum. For all we know they are all made in the same factory and big companies stamp their stuff on it. I will say I was not happy with the fact that the splines did not line up perfectly and the wheel was off centered and I had to get an alignment. Did not know or realize that when I did the video though otherwise I would have included it in the video. If you have the dough for an expensive one go for it but I wouldn't worry about getting a generic though. As for the wheel itself, that is a different story. Get something reputable so it's strong and not something that will break off in your hands.
Hey about to do this my self with the same hub didn’t come with the ring was wondering if you just left the original horn wire hanging or did you attach it to your homemade ground
I just had somebody sow on new upgraded leather with the stripe. Kept the airbag and steering functions . More OEM STYLE upgrade. I had thought about doing the full wheel like you did. But happy with what I did
@@giovannibalcazar it's a small piece of metal, can't believe imagine they are much different. The steering shaft holds it in and then it just acts as an in-between piece to the steering wheel so the major leverage forces will be the connection between the hub and the steering wheel not between the hub and the where it attaches centrally to the steering shaft. This is all my opinion and line of thinking. I'm not a professional engineer though so take how ever you wish. I just wanted to answer your question 🙂

@@MTRC692 do you have the wheel still attached to the hub? Take the center nut off and try to yank it as hard as you can holding the wheel! Just like with the stock steering wheel in the video
@@johnnyp.5816 Aha, gotchya. Yes mine was small as well actually so it would move around easily. Not all are like that, just depends on the size, but yes my ebay one was the same way. I taped some weather stripping around it and that made it so that it could slide in there and have better pressure on the sides to keep it in place. But yeah, any trick you can think of to keep it from moving would work

@@ricardomaldini6508 holds just the same but obviously would need an alignment. I would think with the erg hub you shouldn't have that issue 👍

Nope. Only the airbag light will come on if the wiring trick with the resistors is not performed

How did you get the horn button to fit inside the hub?
What issue are you having? The wires getting in the way or the sides of the horn button being too big or too small?
