    Driving my third Crv- 2001, 2010, now 2017. My favorite car ever, sister liked my 2010 so well she traded in her 2 year old Accord for a Crv in 2016! Son bought a 2016 Rav 4, several problems- he traded it in18 months later for a Subaru sedan, But had our 2001 Crv also

    It’s a year waiting to get RAV 4 in Sydney Australia, so I bought CRV Black Edition and loving! it is so spacious and fuel efficient at only 1.5 litres turbo here in.

    I am a senior and have owned 5 Crv's over the years, the last being a 2021. I recently bought a 2023 Rav4 Xle and like it except for one big problem. The wind noise is really bad, it is like going down the highway with the windows partly down. This problem has me very disappointed with the car. The Crv's have wind noise also but not nearly as bad.

    We got 2023 Honda crv awd we paid 24,900. It was brand new 8 miles dark grey. It was less than a civic. I think because my husband has been a repeat buyer at this dealership. It’s beautiful,is quiet and has get up and go. Lots of cool stuff. We got it as our traveling car. We are retired.

      That's a REALLY good deal...good for you guys! Goes to show what I've said responding to previous comments that there are popular SUVs out there that can be bought at reasonable (or even sometimes good) prices....it can be dependent on the region and definitely dependent on the dealer.

    This car battle will last into decades and decades and still keep going.
    Both cars and brands inspiring countless unlimited devotion by the hordes out there.
    Say what you want about either car, in the end people will still buy the model they want.
    Of course both car companies are just luvin this battle !
    Stiff competition keeps 'em on their toes.
    In the end, the car buyers are the real winners 🏆
    Just sold my RAV4 XLE from 2018 and bought a 2023 CR-V EX-L.
    Looking forward to the next few years.
    I'm sure I won't be disappointed, the last five years were wonderful years.

    Do a survey in community area and give seniors 10 choices of cars and SUV to choose from, both seniors as drivers and seniors as passengers in the back seat specious comfort and accessibility, let's see which one would they vote the most! Then only can we see which car or SUV is the winner! Can you do that poll?

    I'm in Australia. I own a 2020 Toyota RAV Hybrid. Great for driving elderly parents in the front passenger seat however my aged mum isn't at all comfy in the back seat, neither is dad. Dad has long legs and requires the front seat while mum sits in the back seat behind him MOST UNCOMFORTABLY due to the minimal leg room. She can't sit behind me when I'm driving as I'm tall like my father and need my seat right back.
    I've recently purchased a new HONDA CRV LX TURBO AWD and absolutely love it!!! Seats are perfectly comfy for me, mum and dad. The back seating is ROOMY and can stretch ones legs right out well under the front seats. Parents both love it and are seated very comfortably as am I.
    Clearly for me and fam the HONDA CRV is the WINNER.

    Great comparison vid, but I disagree with the Reliability decision, Despite the data , I would take a naturally aspirated engine over a turbo every time, especially for a vehicle that I would drive for 100k+ miles. Therefore the winner is actually RAV4...funny post script...my retired wife drives a 2019 CRV and loves it.

    Nah. As a Senior I drove multiple vehicles including the CRV before buying a Toyota Rav4 Prime. The CRV isn't even remotely close. If you want to buy a Prime, you need to be prepared to buy inter-state. I live in Arizona and bought mine in Northern California - took me a week to find the car I wanted and picked it up from the dealer three days later. Personally I found the CRV to be grossly under-powered and just boring. The Prime has 302 hp and goes like a bat out of hell. It is super comfortable although I am annoyed the power driver seat does not have memory as a standard feature. Oh yes, and the average 81.5 empg since buying the vehicle (in 2021) doesn't hurt either!

    • @auto_exclusive
      @auto_exclusive  ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks for the info…plug-in hybrids make so much sense and you get the best of both worlds. Toyota did good by giving the Prime up to 42 miles on electricity…much better than some others out there that sometimes get as little as half that.

    • @auto_exclusive
      @auto_exclusive  ปีที่แล้ว

      Not sure why the way we make our videos would impact the expectation for accuracy but, nonetheless, accuracy is very important to us.
      I’ve double checked the fuel economy rating for the 2023 CR-V Hybrid at Honda’s website and it shows the 2WD version at 43/36/40. I think you cited the 4WD #s of 40/34/37 but that isn’t the highest the Hybrid CR-V is capable of. The 40 mpg mentioned in the video is correct.

    As a senior I really resent the agistic video presentation of "old people" as childish simpletons. I appreciate your attempt to address a 'senior' perspective on the two vehicles. However I am highly offended by the 'agistic' video stereotypes that you use to do so. I assure you that seniors should never be underestimated if you know what is good for you.

    • @auto_exclusive
      @auto_exclusive  ปีที่แล้ว

      It's odd that I'm accused of making an ageist video when the far more common comment I get in my senior-oriented videos is that "seniors don't want this or that" because of their age. I feel my videos incorporate a contemporary view of seniors as being active while also recognizing certain realities that are more common to seniors due to aging than the rest of the population. If I didn't recognize certain things that sometimes mean more to seniors than the rest of the population, then the video wouldn't really be senior-oriented and would simply be a video for everybody. In fact, my first senior video from 2 years ago really did take this approach and I got bashed in the comments exactly on this point...."why are these vehicles specifically chosen for seniors' .

    • @AshAragam
      @AshAragam 11 หลายเดือนก่อน
