Marko is totally in his element here and you can see Floor is so happy about that. It gladdens my heart every time.
I just love Floor's smile at the end. they all have so much respect for each other and you can tell they love what they do.

I agree about Marco's smile, it's a heart warming thing. There has been a TH-cam interview with Marco recently in which he talked about his need to leave for his health and mental wellbeing. He has previously mentioned his disillusionment with the music industry in general. He is such a talent, we must hope he is well and happy and can entertain us some more when he feels able.
He's been back on stage with the Northern Kings since. And scheduled to be on this years Raskasta Joulua tour in Finland.

The incredible dynamic in this band is evident here, him teasingly calling them weasels only to have them return to finish the song. Floor just beams at the end of it, proud of her "big brother" and the amazing job he did with it. To complete the picture, watch "Ava Maria" with Marko and Floor from 2019. Not only is it off the charts touching, but watch the end to see how these two feel about each other ... brings a tear every time!! They were born to sing with each other.

Since Marko quit the band, listening to his songs has become nostalgic, I used to cry every time I listened to them, it almost felt like some kind of mourning, but now, more than a year later, I went from crying, to enjoying his legacy in Nightwish, and I really wish him the best in his professional and personal life

When you think about the opportunity Tuomas had to write music. He had two singers of this caliber and a whole crew with such skills that there were no limits to making music. And on top of that, the London Philharmonic Orchestra. Tuomas could indeed write the wildest musical compositions and he had the artists who could realize them.

Marko is a born entertainer. It was really great that he got this moment in front of the home crowd. Marko composed this song and Tuomas wrote the lyrics.

Ah Tampere my home town. You know this concert was the biggest one in Tampere till this German band called Rammstein came to Ratina stadium... I had the privilege to work in this concert.

I never saw Nightwish with Marko, but I did see them several times in their current line-up. Show after show they're performing at an incredible peak level and having so much fun with each other, an absolute joy to witness. Next one will be on 20 Nov in Antwerp, Belgium.

Since Halloween is your jam, if you haven't heard of a band called Broken Peach, their Halloween videos are so much fun. They do covers of 80's and 90's pop songs, but they dress in costumes and personally I just think they're fun. Last year's Halloween video is probably my favorite, but they dropped the new one a few days ago and it's a blast too.

Well, back to being late to the videos! As everyone has already told you, this was a special night all around for the band members. It's also the concert where they played my favourite performance of "The Greatest Show On Earth", one of the so called "Big Three" Nightwish songs (along with "Ghost Love Score "and "The Poet and the Pendulum".) When you are ready, I hope you react to that song.. It blew me away!

Floor steps back out of the spotlight during a lot of songs. Guitar solos, Marko singing, Troy playing the pipes, whatever it is, Floor steps back from the mic out of the spotlight, while the others have their moment. Floor is a team player. She has said on multiple occasions that Tuomas makes Nightwish run, not her.

I saw Nightwish in 2012. When they played this, there was an incredible feeling of fellowship in the crowd. We were all smiling and swaying and singing along.

What can you do about these guys? Just sit and enjoy their art. You're only half way on your journey. The chills and the smiles (even the tears sometimes) will be worth it. A vote from me for "While your lips are still red" too.
The love for each other in this band is unparalleled I love watching them interact with each other on stage the smiles just shows how much they love doing what they do and in my opinion nobody does it better than Nightwish.

This is such a beautiful song! And who other can say he had Floor Jansen as a background singer? 😉 I really miss Marco. That's so sad. I love Nightwish and hear them since '97, many things happend with Nightwish, that with Tarja, Annette was good but not good enough, the Fans were unhappy and many other things but than 2012 comes Floor! And HOW she comes!!! I think 99.9% of all Fans love her from first time hearing singing with Nightwish, also me! They had a very good time, than comes Troy, with the whistles, the guitars, the bagpipes and some other things, he was also a good choice and the Fans also liked him. All looks good, everyone, specially Tuomas and Emppu, where happy and they were very successful. After all that happend i never would have thought that Marco would leave the band! But i don't know the reason(s) why and i think no one knows all reasons, only he knows all, i heard a lot but you can believe it or not, you know how some "fans" can be. It's very sad, but we have to accept it, many fans sayed it was because of his health. I wish him only the best.

High Hopes is a Pink Floyd song, Nighwish did a masterpiece tribute to this song. Marko there is beyond anything !! He made this song his, no matter how good the original is.
Marco is quite a good singer in his own right, and I'm sure you found that out when you listened to Phantom Of The Opera. But you really get to see him shine in The Islander. How good do you have to be to have Floor Jansen singing backup/harmony for you? LOL

This song has lyrics that I think inspired the virtual venue used for the 2 Epic 1 3/4 hr ea virtual concerts at the end of May 2021 in a whimsical Virtual world containing the venue pub location called The Islanders Arms. It is a Steam Punk inspired building with a lighthouse at "the end of the world" . The airship in the world is named "The Spirit of Punk". It arrives to start the show and leaves afterward. The official video for this song is interesting and dramatic, and Annette's backup vocals are soft.
