I never knew all the background of HW Colour-Changers, I’m quite surprised to hear they go back that far. My very first Colour-Changer car was a Premium NASCAR my aunt bought me from America back in 2007 when I was 9. I used to have a Colour-Change set with a random car that you could fire into the back of a wrecked tanker, and the water would cause the car to change to look corroded! I also love the blind bag versions of the Colour-Changers, the ones where you get two cars in each barrel covered in yellow paint which washed off in cold water.

You can see for yourself that there's no door lining on the sides of the casting. NASCAR racing cars have their doors welded shut to better maintain the car's overall integrity in the event of a crash. The only way to get in and out of the car is to climb through the driver's side window.

Out of all the color shifting Hot Wheels, How come the big three never got the color shifter treatment: Twin Mill, Bone Shaker, Rodger Dodger? Having Twin Mill as a color shifter would've been genius, since it's more or less the Hot Wheels mascot.
I remember I got one of these from an old guy who sold stuff out of a house he bought and converted into a weird storage/bazaar. I was so psyked to get home and dip it in warm and cold water.
