You have no idea how validated i feel to know that someone else has a problem with rubber things leaving a smell on their hands. I love having things to do with my hands but that’s my biggest turnoff for most squeeze toys
I have the same problem but for metal things, i just hate the smell so bad. i usually dont even eat with metal cutlery but with wooden chopsticks instead.
I do not know for the life of me what it's called, but there's this sensory toy that's like a set of five or six mobius strips woven together like a bracelet, and it feels so unbelievably satisfying to put it on your wrist and let gravity run it down your arm. Not very portable and a bit obnoxious that you need to visibly move your body to use it, but the tactile stimulation makes up for it.

My favorite fidget is a clay fidget chip I got on Etsy a few years ago. It doesn’t have any moving parts or anything fancy, but it does have a few different textures I enjoy (unglazed ceramic with a raised wood-grain texture on the front, smooth glazed ceramic on the back, and ridged glazed ceramic around the sides). It is especially useful for me to prevent skin picking

Stress balls are extremely variable. I have one I got at an autism event and it's so perfect - small enough to fit in pockets, firm enough to be satisfying but not enough to cramp my hands, and covered in soft fabric so there's no rubber scent! It's my favorite fidget by far. You really do need to go out and squeeze a ton of different balls before you can find one that works.
They don't happen to be the PJ's Plush Jellies line of stress-balls, do they? They're basically how you described but the fabric lining is themed around some form of plushie character. My favourites are the Creepy Cutie Plush Jellies; they're designed to look like zombie animals so that the stress-ball filling looks like their innards.

There’s actually a better version of the popit toys with plastic frames instead of being all rubber. My mom got two of them for me one year for my birthday and they were SO much better than the rubber ones. They aren’t flimsy in the slightest, and the pops are much more satisfying.

Word of warning: if you get a tangle, I have had mine for over a year, but it is made of individual piece, which do come together, the problem is is that recently one of the clips my pieces used to clip onto the thing broke off, and it is irreplaceable, just keep in mind that if you use it to much some pieces may break

A pop toy I'd recommend can be found at dollar tree. I don't remember what it's called. There's only two big different colored bubbles, one on each end of a plastic frame with a small hole in between. They're very satisfying to prime and pop. And once you get your fingers into the groove of punching them in, rotating and flipping the toy around to poke em back out; gets real addicting. 😊

My favorite stim tools often end up being things that aren’t made to be stim tools. I have dermatillomania (which is compulsive skin picking) and I’ve found a silicone brush is amazing at redirecting the urge to pick. Chewlery is also amazing!!
The "Stress" balls are more for people who have problems with moving their hands like arthritis and people with problems like that squeeze them so they can move a bit their hands more and not making the problem worse

since this reply I've actually found a couple that work for me! the fidgit pad is really nice for every day use, especially for conversations, but I also found the NeeDoh Nice Cube for when I want to stretch and pull. if Polygon Donut wants to give stress balls another go I'd recommend that; it's the least smelly stress ball I've tried.

Great video. As someone with ADHD I’ve been fully embracing the fidget toys so it’s good to know which are good and which to avoid. Btw my absolute favourite fidget toy is Stim Magz. They are absolutely exceptional and well designed. If you ever do a part 2 I guarantee they’ll be at the top of your list! P.S. I think the finger rings you tried are actually better if you get the official product called FinGears, the knock off versions are really low quality magnets.

honestly with poppits I always found that the smaller they are they better. The bigger ones and the ones shaped like characters that are obvious pandering never did it for me, but this random poppit bracelet i found at a dollar store beat them ALL for some reason.
Tbh I agree I remember my little cousin let me play with their poppit which was a huge butterfly and it was so underwhelming and it felt gross too! But another cousin let me try a poppit spinner and their tiny square poppit and I genuinely enjoyed playing with it!

I am a very introverted person and am usually very quiet and not at all conversational. What people don't ever realize is that my inner monologue sounds exactly like your videos, lol. My favorite “fidget toy” (kinda stretching the definition here but still) is slime. I’m really tired of people saying “it’s not a trend anymore! Slime is dead!” Because why would I like something just because it’s a trend? It’s just fun to squish and pop, and the stickiness doesn’t really bother me. Some types of slime, like ones with instant snow in them aren’t sticky at all, either. Though my favorite textures are probably butter slime, thick slime, and jelly slime. If anyone out there is thinking of trying slime as a fidget toy just to relieve stress or have something to do with your hands, I recommend Slime Obsidian, Slime OG, or Dope Slime (Dope Slime especially because they have an option to order a smaller container, which costs less, if you don’t want too much.) Just don’t get storebought stuff because it’s a really mixed bag. The handmade stuff from smaller businesses is always gonna be better quality, even though it is more expensive. Some things to look out for are fragrances, if you’re sensitive to them, and the texture you chose. Slime Obsidian, for example, lists different textures on whether they’re beginner friendly, which just means whether or not people who haven’t played with slime before are likely to get it all over their hands because it’s a little sticky lol. I’d recommend a butter slime because they’re not very sticky, and they’re super smooth and soft. Anyways sorry for the tangent, I just think more people should know that slime isn’t just a 2016 trend for 12 year olds. It’s actually a really fun, stress relief toy, like putty. If you’re like me and something in your brain tells you you need to always be touching or messing with something, slime is great!

I don’t care that they are sticky because many types of slime aren’t sticky! Seriously, if you are looking for a good fidget then I’d recommend Dope Slime

Great video. As someone with ADHD I’ve been fully embracing the fidget toys so it’s good to know which are good and which to avoid. Btw my absolute favourite fidget toy is Stim Magz. They are absolutely exceptional and well designed. If you ever do a part 2 I guarantee they’ll be at the top of your list!

honestly with poppits I always found that the smaller they are they better. The bigger ones and the ones shaped like characters that are obvious pandering never did it for me, but this random poppit bracelet i found at a dollar store beat them ALL for some reason.

I am a very introverted person and am usually very quiet and not at all conversational. What people don't ever realize is that my inner monologue sounds exactly like your videos, lol. If they only knew.... They haven't really made a fidget that I love, but I do have a miniature version of the tangle (it's ok, meh), and I have a simple dimple popit that is also miniature (why do I have this again?). My favorite “fidget toy” (kinda stretching the definition here but still) is slime. I’m really tired of people saying “it’s not a trend anymore! Slime is dead!” Because why would I like something just because it’s a trend? It’s just fun to squish and pop, and the stickiness doesn’t really bother me. Some types of slime, like ones with instant snow in them aren’t sticky at all, either. Though my favorite textures are probably butter slime, thick slime, and jelly slime. If anyone out there is thinking of trying slime as a fidget toy just to relieve stress or have something to do with your hands, I recommend Slime Obsidian, Slime OG, or Dope Slime (Dope Slime especially because they have an option to order a smaller container, which costs less, if you don’t want too much.) Just don’t get storebought stuff because it’s a really mixed bag. The handmade stuff from smaller businesses is always gonna be better quality, even though it is more expensive. Some things to look out for are fragrances, if you’re sensitive to them, and the texture you chose. Slime Obsidian, for example, lists different textures on whether they’re beginner friendly, which just means whether or not people who haven’t played with slime before are likely to get it all over their hands because it’s a little sticky lol. I’d recommend a butter slime because they’re not very sticky, and they’re super smooth and soft. Anyways sorry for the tangent, I just think more people should know that slime isn’t just a 2016 trend for 12 year olds. It’s actually a really fun, stress relief toy, like putty. If you’re like me and something in your brain tells you you need to always be touching or messing with something, slime is great!
