This was fun and simple to do. Thank you so much for posting. As a beginner in watercolor, sometimes the most important thing I can do is just actually finish a painting without abandoning it halfway through because I messed up. So this tutorial gave me some confidence by allowing me to finish a piece I can hang on my wall or give to someone.

I have Blackfoot Daises in my front yard, they are a delicate little white daisy that smell like honey and the bees love them. They are a native to the Southwest of USA. I love it. I did an acrylic painting just like this and was so successful but I am so scared to do watercolor since I am so new at it. Practice I guess. I would never have thought those were grey leaves.

Sometimes, I read others comments, usually not. Often when it is a white painting- I like to see how others saw it too. I don't "Know" Shayda... but, I only follow a hand full of WC artists... She really is my Favorite Watercolor artist here on TH-cam. And, that's certainly not to take away from the other 3 I enjoy. I think they'd make an Amazing 4 artist gallery. They each have a slightly different style... but, All create Beautiful work.

Any others that you may think I would enjoy is really appreciated it. I really like her style and how well she explains as she painting…..sometimes a lil fast though, lol
@@tamyellis9860 when I want to see it slower, I'll watch all the way through first, lol, but, I have gone into playback and slowed it to 25%, to see how she's holding the brush for one or another steoke... I enjoy Emma Lafuerve (my spelling may be WAY off) and, then, there's a channel I Just started watching a short time ago, Kristy Rice. She's more of a paint random splotches, then, go in and refine with either, wet on dry, or, just a pen. I am happiest, with minimal "rules".
This is SO Very Beautiful! My goal- this year, (Jan-March) is monochromatic everything and white florals.. I'm trying a 1/4 theme, for color pallette this year.. Thank you for the RT Tutorial.

So beautiful Shayda! Now here’s a question for you. How do I get over my intense dislike of Arches paper? Every time I use it, I’m never happy with the results. It’s feels like it’s fighting me. Anyone else having this trouble? If so, and you’re continuing to use it, what did you do to make it work for you? Blessings to you all!
@@ShaydaCampbell I’ve had great results with Fabriano Artistico and use that paper primarily. Stonehenge is also good. It’s not the brand that bothers me, it’s that super heavy tooth Arches has, gah! Drives me nuts, lol. One of these days I’ll likely fall in love with it though😍

I sometimes feel that with hot pressed paper. But if it's a brand that bothers you there's no reason you can't try another one :)
