Well, maybe this was after the Killing Monster trailers, we do not know if the woman from the trailer (KM) killed him or not.
+Bartosz N no, I am pretty sure this was before the Killing Monsters trailer. Because in the Killing Monsters trailer you can see an aftermath of the battle on the ground. And I guess that this is why he accepted the contract. Maybe he promised not only money, but also some information. But anyway, now you can see who he actually is. A coward and deserter that needs others to fight for him because he alone can not. We do not know who is the woman, but this pretty much shows us that he deserved what he got.
I may be late, but I don't think he is. There is a side quest in white orchard where you find two deserters of the battle. I think he's one of them

Loved the movie
Yennifer is not pure-hearted. She's just a woman with a difficult character. While she maybe kind towards her friends she can be very painful and dangerous to cross. That's interesting how she's not strictly alligned towards the usual DnD system but a realistic character. She can be a loving parent and a good friend or a bitch from hell depending on your standing to her.
Nick Dzink Yen is a pure-hearted, i don't even understand why Geralt like her maybe beacause of last wish but seriously no one can bear her....If she finaly have a child maybe her heatred will decrease but i don't think so
H Jaafar She treats Ciri as her own daugther. Besides it's never revealed what Geralt asked the Djnn for. Maybe he asked for Yennifer to become a mother? And the wish came true when she met Ciri.

His name is Vesemir.
At the beginning of the first game, Vesemir was one of the witchers of Kaer Morhen who found Geralt. Vesemir's an older witcher who trained the other witchers of Kaer Morhen.

They age a lot slower than normal humans. not as slow as sorcererrs but still pretty damn slow. Vesemir is several hundreds of years old I think and Geralt is well over 100 himself

Major portion of the hype is well deserved, even with reservations but in all fairness, this is an opening cinematic. if you have any history with games, you know very well how that usually goes.
they did an awesome job with the second witcher, i don't see why you won't give it a chance. at least they're not limiting the full capability of the game at 900p - 30fps like ubisoft is
This is The Witcher. It doesn't need to look like the trailer, it just needs to continue with story depth and excellent gameplay :P

I liked it but the vocals were a bit overdun and not entirely necessary the trailer would have been just as good without them. I hope the whole game isnt you listening to these woman wail the whole time. I'm only concerned because ever since the second trailer all they have done is had music with wailing woman...
Check "The Fields of Ard Skellig" and "Merchants of Novigrad", you can find them on YT. There will be some celtic/nordic inspired themes, as well as bit of traditional "medieval" music.
On the other side Witchers world is heavily influenced by slavic folklore and I think it's great that they use that kind of music in the game. It's also very original compared to most of "generic western high fantasy crpg soundtracks" :p
