Opposites attract! At least in this concert. François-Xavier Roth and his original sound orchestra Les Siècles combine works by György Ligeti and Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart - for which the musicians will even be swapping instruments. Because Les Siècles is one of the few orchestras that plays every work in their extensive repertoire on the appropriate historical instruments.

Even though it was a toss up I believe that the conductor was the most decisively clear as to what he wanted in order to be produced from the orchestra. I'm glad everyone stayed on the same page and there was no quibbling at all amongst themselves.

Unfortunately, it was not possible to record this part of the concert for legal reasons.
