Nach dem Album "The Sound of Light" von Teodor Currentzis ist Rameau jetzt in. Aber weder zum Beispiel Simon Rattle noch Roth erreichen die Klasse und den Esprit von Currentzis. Wenn Roth demnächst von Currentzis das SWR Symphonieorchester übernimmt, wird es einige Enttäuschungen geben.

The difference between this and Les Arts Florrisants? The French actually look like they enjoy playing the music and the joy is infectious. This is Germanic misery in its fullest.

I don't know man i'm French and i like both, as long as we get more Rameau played ther better! Plus i really don't think you can't have fun playing this piece,banging the drums like a mad man is something that everyone loves wether they admit it or not 😅Admitedy the dynamics are a bit stiff but don't forget that a mixing engineer a bit to liberal with its compression can ruin the best of performances and that is repertoire that is very hard to get right without much reference material to help you get familiar with how it "should" sound.everybody is kind of in the shadow of Christie on this stuff and its ok.

C'est probablement mon côté français, mais j'ai une nette préférence pour une exécution empreinte de légèreté et d'humour : th-cam.com/video/2sPC8HsXxik/w-d-xo.html plutôt que kolossaal militaire zim boum... Mais bon, tous les goûts sont dans la nature, la preuve !
