Today we are taking a look at the Spector Euro Classic 4 bass guitar. #spectorbass #spectoreuroclassic www.spectorbas... 0:17 Intro 1:17 Specs 3:05 Sound Samples 5:14 Final Thoughts
Still in deep love with my NS-2 from 1987 build for "Twisted Sister". Thanks for upload your video and welcome to the family. Try a strap from "mono" and you will be fine. Greetings from lower saxony the good old north of Germany.
Thanks so much for posting this. I just bought one in gloss black and was about to send it back as I thought it had a defective volume pot. Assuming it was volume/volume/bass eq/treble eq, when the other ‘volume’ is actually a pickup blend. Thanks to your video, I now know how the blend works as this is my first Spector.
Love Spector, have owned 2, including an original NS-2 that I stupidly let get away! Might have mentioned the P pickup is reversed versus Fender. Congrats!
Looks like a gorgeous instrument! They go here in Uk for 2000 pounds plus and i believe they are worth every penny ... i find similarities with Warwick ... similar level of finesse i suppose ... My only gripe is Emg pick ups ... they are cold and are perfect for metal but for softer tones they are a bit mono dimensional ... similar things with aguilar which i owned and parted with ... i looove what Sire did with their preamp and how warm the tone is ...
It sounds amazing !! I am in the process of ordering this very bass. How is the width / thickness of the neck ? - that is, from the fretboard to the back of the neck ? Is it playable ? I have a Performer and like the thin neck but looking to upgrade to this one now.
Thank you for watching the video. This bass is one of my primary three basses. It plays great, but It is not a thin neck profile. It's actually a pretty chunky neck.
@alansamsmusic thank you! Great playing and awesome bass. I'm looking into a Spector as my next but torn between a Spector, MM Stingray or a Solar. More into heavy metal but appreciate all walks of music
@@acrevelations8457 As of right now I'm playing a Stingray Special for live shows and I really like it. Probably going to do a video on the Stingray soon
@alansamsmusic I have a sterling Ray34 and love the tone but it's kind of a one trick pony. My Fender P-Bass I find sits the best in a mix. Of course I'm in no band and only play for enjoyment but when I listen back to recordings I've done, the P blends well while my Ray sometimes overpowers the music. The Spector seems like it has more tones to work with than what I think the MusicMan can do. What are your thoughts?
@@alansamsmusic I have a Fender P Bass, and I am looking to add either a Music Man StingRay or a Fender Jazz Bass to my collection for slapping. (I love my Euro, but it's just not doing it for me when I slap). I tried out a bunch of them and I am leaning towards the J Bass. I didn't like the feel of the StingRay as musch as the J Bass. And the J Bass is super easy to play. I didn't play them through an amp, so that's one variable that I need to test before I pull the plug.
It really helps to have an idea of what you want to say before starting the camera. Lol. But cool bass! I love it in white, as well. I saw Sting on SNL in the early 90’s with it and wanted one ever since. Awesome score!

I hope you enjoy your new Spector
With the maple wings I was expecting 9-10 pounds but 7 is some kind of miracle🤯🤯

That's a nice bass, something I can't afford. That's why I bought the White Performer 4.

White. The Holy Grail of Spectors.

Yikes! My Euro 4LX comes in at 9.26lbs! Nice demo- Brent, VT
At 9.2lbs does it still have neck-dive or is it balanced perfectly?
@@salskars6637 Still balances quite well. Mine is all maple.
@@brentheathersimons7042 - Good to know. TY for the reply.
Stings 1983 cool ass bass
Sting is the reason I admire that bass so much. I wonder if it's because of the heavy neck why he doesn't play it anymore.
If your bass has Gotoh GB707 tuners (61 grammes) then just switch to Gotoh GB350 "Res-o-lite" tuners (39 grammes). This'll reduce some of the dive.
What are those riffs your playing at 3:12 and 5:00? Are they from specific songs?
At 3:12 that's a song Cumbersome by Seven Mary Three at 5:00 I'm playing Low by Cracker

What are your two other basses ?
Currently my other basses are Music Man StingRay Special 5 string and 4 string and a Fender American Pro II jazz bass

@@habsfan7521 Nothing wrong with a good jazz bass. Good luck with the search.

Who the hell cares?? Authenticity and real is better than scripted. Fuck perfection!
What are the electronics?
