The fervent heart penance was fun, having fervor regenerate at a reasonable rate and using the right prayers made my runs faster. The game only got hard for me while fighting the final boss. It really helped with the Amanecida fights. I’m currently trying to finish the bleeding heart penance.
Fucking hell finally, every search I done brought up useless information. Just spent 30 minutes trying to find out what the Penitence rewards are. Since I'm playing the PS4 version, and as far as I'm aware only the Steam and Switch versions have been patched/fixed to receive these rewards. I'm guessing/hoping the PS4 and Xbox Patch come soon. I'm planning on doing the Penitent modes soon, thanks for the info.
Glad the video helped you out, but too bad you have to wait for the patch on consoles to get the rewards. Are there any other obscure Blasphemous details that you found difficult to look up? I've been trying to think of other video ideas for this game that haven't been done yet.

I think Bleeding Heart is actually the most op. You can use the Pray the gives you life steal on hits which allows you to basically always be at full health and it ignores anything that lowers your defenses since you’ll never lose more then 1 health orb per hit no matter what.
@@spacewizardpip1111 You also can equip the Heart of Oils for basically free melee dps increase, since you don't have defense to loose. It also allows you to replace defensive beads with other beads without losing anything.
Unwavering Faith seems like'a reward not penalty cause your fervour constantly regenerates ! You only need enhancing prayer rosaries and this lightning spell from Perpetua!
@@lexbeltran1354 Just remember that in this mode your sword damage is decreased by half.It means harder boss fights . If you want killing bosses almost instantly but harder levels consider true guilt mode. To be honest every of this modes changes something in the gameplay and is fun to play.

Would have much preferred bleeding heart bead if instead of giving regen on bile use it would have given point like health without a downside of slow healing (or even without that) as essentialy it would give ultimate defence as any hit including even those that would take away half your health would instead take only one hit point and with more then 4 hitpoinst and enemies already dealing more damage on ng+...
Yeah that's what I figured the bleeding heart one would have done - turn the HP bar into notches, like during the run. The health regen is still a good perk though, and a better trade off than notches for getting through the first few bosses early on.
Hey Space Wizard, yes if you equip both of those penitence rewards, you'll regain both HP and MP over time (HP regains after a heal). I wouldn't say the MP regen is really worth it though, as donating 20k to the church nets you full MP regeneration whenever you use a bonfire. Considering most prayers will be exclusively used in boss fights, you can always go into them with full MP as opposed to waiting for the bead to get you to 100%. It's more beneficial if you like spamming the ranged attack, as it basically negates the MP cost for that in seconds.
@@Mordrukk666 It’s after the heal? Hmm, it means you gotta wait a split second. I think Sorrowful Heart is kind of the worst of the 3 NG+ rewards I’ll probably get it anyway but I dunno.
