That is an outstanding point. Often we talk about China helping Africa historically, but we don't often talk about African countries helping China, like they did in the UN. Without Africa, China might still be absurdly excluded from the United Nations of the world.
The Chinese always acknowledged that. The question is: Why did we vote for their return? Because they genuinely helped us even when they were poor.

● What has Museveni done in 36 years?
Just like Lumumba, it’s Museveni’s implementers that have done him wrong.
- Khama didn’t make the members of his government (implementers) heed his messages of development, neither did Mandela, neither did Kwame, neither did Sekou Toure. - They offered their advice, their suggestions on development, and their peoples chose to uphold them and put them into practice.
If you’d listen to Museveni from early in the regime, you’d see that he really was a fountain of socio-economic transformation ideas, still is obviously.
Too bad those ideas/suggestions were never aired as ultra-publicly as they should’ve been, to inspire the people of Uganda, and now that they can be aired, the youths are too absent-minded to listen.
