- The hills are alive with the sounds of...skidding tires, muddy fields and stolen straw...Or something like that. Our passive income strategy is starting to take shape, we're putting the little tractor to the test and the local farming community is helping us with our need for straw. Things are going well. I'm so glad you made it!

100% guarantee you shoud switch to the full tracks on the tractor, game changer for drivability hands down. Also.makes the tractor 4x4
@@That_Guy_Grizz I eventually try to switch to the tracks, but I think one of the REA mods I have on makes the tracked vehicles sink into the ground…
I'm baffled that you could take the straw of contract fields. I always get the message that you don't have access to the land... And get your little Massey the tracks. It really helps with traction...
I saw that tracks option...makes a big difference? Might look a bit weird on the streets but it works good? I'm pre-recorded into a few episodes but maybe in the near future I can give them a try.
Wasn't it you that told me which mod I was using to collect the straw? I can't remember what it was called but I thought you said it was like the "collect straw" mod or something? Those farmers have been very kind to help poor old me...living in a tent in the woods, lol. They've been nice enough to let me pull the straw rather then just ploughing it in. It's a pretty friendly part of the world.
@@northernfarmsimthe mod is 'collect straw at missions'. Yeah... the tracks on the Massey are awesome..

Yeah, those small productions really help you get going. I think the next challenge I’m going to do will be one where I’m only allowed to buy the productions that are on the map….maybe Hof Bergman or something.

Once, RustyMoney did one video to see what was the best tractor under 100hp. pulling competition.
The Zetor and the old deutz did the task and won the challenge.

sometimes, in real life, when the tractor is too "light" on the front... they attach the trailer on the front and go on rear gear(backwards).

Yeah, someone else mentioned that too...to try the hill in reverse. I might have to give it a go! I don't mind looking a bit weird as long as I'm making money! Lol.

Great content as always! i think the massey in the sale would be a great addition to your farm, not only would it be easier to pull the trailer full of logs because it has more weight and 4WD, it also would help a bunch in terms of future implements like cultivators 😊
Hey, thanks, I appreciate it. And yes… I was very tempted by that tractor. I actually had cut a clip out of the recording where I debated with myself for like 10 minutes, lol. I have some plans though that are going to require some money, so suffering upfront is unfortunately going to be what I need to do. But that was definitely a hard decision.

@@Lexith2k12 ha ha… You did. Actually for every one hour video there’s probably 3 to 4 hours of rambling on average. It’s a bit of a sickness, lol. I just can’t shut up sometimes.
@@northernfarmsim well that's a good thing when you can't shut up, watching a video without commentary is boring. I for my part prefer commentary+jumpcuts+timelaps more than just straight up timelapses with just music
@@Lexith2k12 I agree. I even prefer content without the time lapses or if somebody’s going to time lapse something I like it when there’s commentary over it. I used to put more time lapses into my videos, but have been making an effort to stay away from them as much as I can. I don’t think anybody wants to see me drive back-and-forth for a minute and a half mowing the lawn anyways, lol.

And who knows...maybe we already know each other...lol. But for real, thanks for the heads up. I'd always prefer constructive input and additional eyes/ears on the quality rather then nobody saying anything and me not being able to improve. Also...good for you for making it to the end of the video!

I have a dump truck that is only $20k, it is a good carter with a 58mph max speed. Named "Kamaz_55111Sovak", simple but very handy, can do some field work as well. Just saying the hills are alive on that map!
I'll check it out...that's not the one Rusty has on Calm Lands is it? And those hills...I figure soon I'll have put down enough rubber that traction should get better, lol. I'm shaving off tires daily.
@@northernfarmsim lol, no Rusty uses the JCB, the Kamaz is much less expensive, good starter unit.
My mind went to weird places when you suggested the logs somehow gained some girth. 🤣 🪵 I wonder if road tires would help with the hill climb.
Ha ha… Girth matters… You probably have a point there, I think highway tires are an option actually. I didn’t think of that…
